A few months ago, after reading dozens of reviews of various cupcake bakeries throughout Arizona in an attempt to find some tasty treats for my boyfriends birthday, I finally settled on Kreative Kupcakes. Their reviews were overall the best, however I was a bit leery about driving 40 minutes from where I live just for a few baked goods. These guys did not disappoint! I would drive 10x as far for the quality of product and amazing customer service that I received here! The store as a whole is quaint and quirky and it surely fits the personality of the husband and wife that run this store. I had every intention of walking in, buying a few cupcakes and walking out with minimal interaction. I ended up spending over half an hour just chatting with this couple about their dreams for their business, what inspires them to come up with their unique flavors, how to keep the cupcakes that I had just purchased fresh among many other things. They let me taste a few various products that they dont actually have on their menu as of yet and even gave me some free goodies to take home that werent quite up to their standards for being sellable (still equally as yummy as those in the display case). Of the cupcakes that I did buy, I didnt try a single one (red velvet, vanilla burbon, Baileys, Samoa, Oreo and Blue Moon, chocolate peanut butter, Guiness and bacon) I didnt like. These delicious moresels were moist, flavorful (but not overpoweringly so) and huge in comparison to other local gourmet cupcake bakeries. They were also very competitively priced. In the days following that I indulged in these sweet treats, I never once felt like I didnt get my monies worth. I still have a couple in my freezer, took one out the other day and defrosted it and it was nearly as delicious as when I bought it two months ago! what more could you ask for? all of that being said, I have raved about this place to everyone I know and have been disheartened to hear that the few that have made the trek to the other side of town did not received the same outstanding customer service upon visiting Kreative Kupcakes. They described the husband and wife as indifferent, sarcastic and bordering on rude. I surely hope that my experience was not the exception to the rule and they were just having an off day or two because I would love to see these guys in business for many years to come!

I was looking for a place near Avondale to get a piece of pie and found Kreative Kupcakes searching on Google. WOW! This was a GREAT find and I had a tremendous experience from start to finish. It was around 7:30 pm on a Monday night and I phoned to find out if they were open. The owner, Vonda (hope its spelled right), answered the phone despite being after hours. She told me shed be at the bar she owns next door and I should come on by. And I did...She and her employee, another very nice woman, brought me out all of the cupcakes they had available and I chose a coconut, death by chocolate, a vanilla and a crumble. All were unbelievably good. Seriously, by far the best cupcake Ive ever purchased...my moms were unreal too. Vonda told me the story of the business and we talked for about 40 minutes.. She also gave me two cake pops and off I went. I am going back inmamweek after a trip to Dallas. Five stars all across the board!!

I never would have thought that such a wonderful little cupcake shop was just around the corner from where I live. I had heard of it and I was finally given the motivation to go when I decided to write an essay about baking. It started out as me asking a few questions as resource for my paper, then I tried a cupcake. It was as if the angels were bestowing upon me the gift of deliciousness! I kind of wanted to cry out of happiness but i didnt want to embarrass myself. This may have been the best cupcake I have EVER had and I have had a lot of cupcakes. With a friendly environment and great service, this is the place to be to treat your sweet tooth.

These cupcakes are delicious! Ill admit, the location isnt amazing--its in cute old Avondale but its kind of out of the way unless youre going to that part of town. Good news, its worth going to this part of town for these cupcakes. The shop itself is cute and quirky, a real "mom and pop" kind of joint. We planned to take the cupcakes home with us but opted to eat our cupcakes at the bright pink tables out front. The cupcakes are rich, moist, dense, flavorful and large. Definitely didnt taste like a store-bought cupcake, you can tell theyre baked with good quality ingredients. I feel like the price is spot-on. We will definitely be returning!

If youre looking for delicious, specialty cupcakes, then look no further! This bakery makes the best cupcakes Ive ever tasted. I highly recommend the rocky road cupcake! Its a chocolate cupcake smothered in a mountain of mini-marshmallows, chocolate, and nuts. So decadent and so worth the trip to historic Avondales Western Avenue. This bakery has the feeling of a small-town cafe/tea shoppe and Western Avenue feels like a hidden gem of trees and pedestrian-friendly streets, which you can enjoy with your cupcake in the cooler weather months because Kreative Kupcakes Bakery has outdoor bistro seating.

I had been looking for a cupcake bakery near Goodyear for a while. Stumbled across this delightful little shop in old Avondale today. Picked up a small assortment (coconut butter cream, carrot cake, and samoa) to try at home. Was not disappointed after tasting the coconut butter cream. The icing was thick and rich, the yellow cake moist and light, and the coconut plentiful. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to trying some of their new creations at the Glendale Chocolate Affaire in February.

Saw this place awhile ago and have been wanting to stop in, since I grew up in Old Atown....so dissapointed in these cupcakes! They are probably the worst I have ever tried. I ordered three and @2.75/each they where so not worth it. And the customer service by the owner/manager(woman) was so unprofessional and RUDE!!! I like my cupcakes light and fluffy, these where way to moist and dense...more like heavy pound cake then cupcakes. Sorry not my cup of tea.

I totally love this place!!!! Every chance I get I go and get the infamous Madagascar vanilla with carmel sea crunch!!!! Great!!! If you are ever in the worst mood, not only will cupcakes cheer you up but so will the couple that works there do the same. They are so sweet with an infectious attitude and a very serene but perky enough to get you going. If youhave not had a cupcake from here, you are totally missing out.

My wife and I got our babys gender reveal cake from this place and they were great from the time we walked in until I got the cake. It came out 100 percent perfect! It was absolutely beautiful and came out exactly how we wanted it! Would most definitely recommend to everyone and buy from here again!

This place is cute, the cupcakes are amazing. Our family is never disappointed when we go there. I just got my daughters cake from there this weekend. They have our business forever! There is just no comparison between Kreative Kupcakes and Pixy Cakes.
