We ordered a cake a month before we picked it up. When we went in to see if they could make this cake we took a picture of what we wanted the fondant bunnies to look like and one of them was a Hello Kitty bunny. The gentleman said yes they could make the cake and then got our number and said the designers would contact us in a couple weeks to talk about the cake. A couple weeks went by and we never heard from them so we called them. They said yes the Hello Kitty bunny cake and that everything was going well. So we were confident with this news. Yesterday we needed to pick the cake up and were waiting them to call and say it was ready but they never called so we went in to pick it up. When we saw the cake none of the bunnies were what we ordered instead they gave us what we didnt want. I definitely wasnt fond of the bunnies that looked like the bunnies they made for us and had seen this type of bunny when I was looking for cakes before I ordered it which is why I gave them a picture of the bunnies that I wanted. I find the bunnies ugly with a lot of black on them. Also one of the bunnies ears had broken off. They never once in the month that they had this order called us to discuss the design and say that it wouldnt work and that they were going to decide for themselves what we wanted. It feels like all they cared about was lying to us and saying yes they could make it and deciding that our feelings or desires for what the cake should look like were unimportant so they would decide for themselves what we wanted and then get paid for it. I think that lying to customers, never communicating to customers just so you could make money is wrong. I will never buy from them again and will not recommend them. Very disappointed.

I researched where to get my wedding cake all over Seattle, and came across Hillcrest Bakery. The cake I ordered for our wedding was phenominal. It looked EXACTLY like the picture I sent in and tasted suberb! Not only that, but it was almost half the price of some of the other cake places out there, so I really couldnt complain. I would give this place five stars, but I give them four stars because the initial cake tasting process was a bit disorganized and impersonal. We showed up and they had mixed up our appointment with someone elses so they were double booked, and were trying to juggle us both. This is a family bakery, so there isnt much seating inside to do a big fancy cake tasting, so make sure you book an appointment. They took good care of us despite the slight confusion, and the end result was well above my expectations. Kudos! I will DEFINITELY refer my soon to be bride friends to Hillcrest.

I had driven by this bakery many times over the last few years and finally went in. They had a decent selection of interesting items. There wasnt much there that I wanted, but it was definitely interesting. I definitely recommend their chocolate petite fours! My boyfriend had some beef breakfast pastry, he was not impressed. He said it was much greasier than expected and kind of bland. We also purchased some of their "cream-puffs". These were a massive disappointment. Instead of being filled with a custard or whipped cream, they were filled with a greasy buttercream-ish filling. Another had a strawberry filling... perhaps with stabilized whipped cream? Im sure many people would like these, but Ive work in bakeries for 10+ years, so Im not a fan of this twist on a creampuff. Definitely give it a try, but dont expect it to be like a normal bakery.

I found Hillcrest Bakery and its email address a few days ago through Google and Facebook. After I sent the email to them, I got a reply in a timely manner. I want to book a custom cake for my boyfriends birthday, but I am not in the Bothell right now. They show me continuous patience and excellent service beyond their work. Here I want to mention Chazz particularly, who helps me with the designing, delivering, as well as the wish card. Even there are some troubles with my payment due to my time lag, he still delivers it to my boyfriend on time. My boyfriend just told me the cake tasted very good. He was so surprised and happy with that. We appreciate Hillcrest Bakery and Chazzs kind help, which give us an unforgetable birthday memory. I think Hillcrest Bakery is a good place worth going.

Their products are preservative free, tasty, and very inexpensive. In addition, the staff or family if you may, are very happy to help out in any way that is needed. Just ask and they will make it for you. While the bakery is small, they always have good eats. From the sausage/croissant rolls to the orange cinnamon muffins everything I have had there has been excellent. This family owned and operated place is a reason that I live within walking distance.

We have been coming here for years, for special occasions as well as a treat for the grandchildren. The sausage rolls need to be heated thoroughly and eaten with a bit of good brown mustard, then they are delish, just like you get them in Holland. We also like the Eclairs and Petit Fours and for those who like Marzipan, we like (the mergpijpjes" ) the white and black marzipan cakes. Love this Family owned Bakery!

I grew up in Sultan thinking their fresh, giant bread was amazing. Well Hillcrest Bakery just stunted them in everyway possible. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, and kind. We got a cherry danish, two peanut butter cookies, a snicker doodle, two almond florentines, two almond sticks, and a petes famous. ALL OF WHICH WERE FLIPPING AMAZING!

Tonight we received our sons birthday cake and it was amazing. Hillcrest Bakery created an amazing Nightmare Before Christmas themed cake. It looked absolutely fabulous and tasted even better! We have ordered cakes here over the last couple of years and have always been impressed with their service and quality :)

Some of the baked goods are pretty average, but mostly everything is super sugary and prices are high on average. I wouldnt mind normally the taste if it is an american bakery, but do mind of it is marketed as European. Cakes are so sweet, its impossible to eat.

Ive been shopping here since 1974. Amazing variety of baked goodies and breads. My favorite is the glazed Buttermilk donuts. It looks like a little store front, but when you get inside its pretty surprising to see the variety available.

This bakery has a huge selection of items in their display case. I often go in for a doughnut and pastry, and usually end up with a few cookies and some other items as well. There are a few table to sit at and eat inside to store.

This is hands down the BEST bakery in the Seattle area, if not Washington State! Their cakes are to die for and you cant go wrong with anything else! 10/10 would recommend, in fact I have to everyone I know!
