Theres 2 separate parts of this restaurant: the buffet and the sushi. I will separate this review into information regarding the buffet or the sushi. I will review the sushi first: If you can smell the sushi bar 3 feet from the bar then you shoudnt eat it. They had out tomago (egg), mackerel (pickled), and the krab or fish stick nigiri. I had 2 pieces of 2 separate rolls. One was tuna with cucumber and then a tuna or salmon with tobiku and eel sauce on it. The tuna with cucumber tasted so bad I spit it out and gagged. The other piece wasnt the best tasting but I could eat it. They also had seaweed salad out. I would recommend that this place just forget about the sushi. The Buffet: Ive been to the Bellagio buffet in Las Vegas (considered the best there) and I have to say the buffet at Hibachi Buffet and Sushi has the same level of diversity in food. My husband had the crawfish and said they were great. The calimarhi was smokey and cooked nicely. I also had some beef, ribs, crab and cheese (like mac and cheese- but with crab). The crab was all fake crab and most of the seafood items were tasty. There was a large selection of soups but I didnt try any of them. There was a large dessert section, salad, and fruit section that I didnt try I would even say I had a better experience at this buffet than I did at the Bellagio. Hibachi Buffet and Sushis buffet not very many of the items were dried out or old on the buffet at all, most of it was fresh and edible. The thing is the buffet was meh. I didnt go back for seconds on anything and I wasnt too impressed. We thought the price would be outrageous with all the seafood but we went during the lunch hour and the total was 20 usd for 2 buffets and 2 fountain drinks. I certainly thought that was reasonable enough. Overall review: Sushi: Dont bother at all. Buffet: Diverse in food, heavy with seafood, not too shabby cooking but I didnt feel the urge to go back and get seconds.

Please dont put too much faith in the ability of the people that wrote bad reviews below. Weve never been to this place before, and werent going to check it out because of the bad reviews below. We were going to check out another place, and ended up going here instead since there were a lot of cars in the lot and there seemed to be a lot of people going in. When we went in, we were impressed with the cleanliness of the place from the paint, lighting, layout,etc... Theyve done a great job setting this place up, and have hired very polite staff to help out. Bring your appetite, since there is a good variety at this buffet. There is a mongolian/hibachi style station where you choose the raw meats, eggs, noodles, etc..., there is american/mexican food, chinese food, fried foods, etc... The price is quite reasonable too. I believe it was $9 for lunch, and $13 for dinner. We went for lunch, and it was worth it. Kids between 36" and 54" are half price, and under 36" are free. The wait staff was very attentive, and they provided excellent service from start to finish. Ive been to dirty buffets, and this one is the complete opposite of those. Very clean and very well managed, I dont work for this place or have any affiliation to it at all. Just want to be a helpful citizen and let people know that there is an actual good option for buffet in Manassas, when in the mood for one. Another indication that an chinese buffet is good, is by simply looking around at the other guests at the restaurant and seeing a good number of asian folks eating there as well. Very good indication that the food is good. Have a look. I dont think youll be disappointed.

My husband and I walked in on a Friday night at 9:02, the restaurant closes at 10:30. One of the waiters proceeded to tell the hostess that they did not accept people in after 9:00 because they closed at 10:00 (clearly it said on the door they closed at 10:30). After the hostess and server argued about the time the restaurant closed, the manager came up and my husband and I said that would be alright - we would just leave eat somewhere else if it was an issue - they seated us. The servers were very disrespectful to the manager, I heard him ask one of the girls to check on her table and she just looked at him, when he walked away she began to speak in asian to her friend, however she never did as her manager requested. The restaurant is buffet style, as we were eating our dessert the waitress brought us our check, she ran our card and after we signed the final bill we put the tipped portion on the inside of the table because we were not finished with our meal. She stood behind our booth and she and a fellow waitress frequently made obvious attempts to look and see if the tipped portion was ready to be picked up. We left 40 minutes before the restaurant was suppose to close and the staff was cleaning out the sushi and dessert trays and mopping the floors. Overall the food was not bad, however I felt as though the service was horrible and I did not feel welcome from the minute I stepped in. I felt rushed and it was obvious the staff did not want to stay a minute after the designated close time.

This is probably the nicest asian-style buffets I have ever seen. Im really shocked at the variety and quality of food served for such a low price. The food is always fresh and hot. I dont eat sushi so I cant comment on that, but it looks fresh and you see it being prepared in front of you. I almost didnt go in because I wasnt expecting much from a buffett in Manassas, but Im glad I did! They are always busy, so food does not just sit and get old. People are constantly taking from all the trays of food. The staff brings out new trays of each dish constantly so all the food out is fresh. If an item is getting old they throw it away and do not just add it to the top of the new tray of food. There are places they could cut corners that most people wouldnt notice, but they go that extra mile. For example, the mashed potatoes are homeade, not instant. The shrimp in various dishes are not large, but are a nice size (not baby shrimp) - they are larger than what you normally find at buffets. The shrimp are all well cleaned and always plump and juicy. I really cannot recommend this place enough and Im eating there tonight to introduce my family to it. Its right by my new job and Ive eaten there about 5 times in the last few weeks. Each time the service I received was exactly what you would expect from a place like this - I have no complaints as my waitresses have all been polite.

DO NOT EAT HERE. This place has ROACHES. And horrible management. There was one just hanging out on the counter by the food like it belonged there.(It literally did not run away but just moved around on the counter, which meant it has gotten used to humans because theyve been there for awhile and there are far more around.) And the waitress just casually wiped it onto the floor and squashes it like its no big deal. I went to confront the manager about it while my mother was puking in their bathroom, and he sees me but just continues his cell phone conversation while i stood at the front cash register for five minutes. It wasnt until we told the same waitress we werent paying and started to walk out that the manager suddenly became free and able to talk. I will never eat here again. They dont care about the customers, because if so the bathrooms and restaurant wouldnt look so trashy. Most of the chairs and benches wouldnt be cut up. And the floor wouldnt feel so grimey.
