Tonight I attempted to dine here after a long time of not going to this place due to what I feel are high prices compared to the modest quality of the food. That is, if Im willing to drive more than a couple blocks, there are places that have far superior Vietnamese food for a fraction of the cost. When the server took my drink order, I informed him that I was ready to order my meal at that time. He refused to take my order. After waiting for twenty minutes after arriving and fifteen after explicitly stating I was ready to order, I walked out to dine elsewhere. Upon telling the server I was leaving, he started yelling at me. Its not as if I skipped my tab. He brought me a water and hadnt even taken my order yet. They werent even busy. There were six total patrons in a place that probably seats over fifty. Four of them already had their food. In less than had time than I was waiting to order, I walked to another restaurant and already have a cocktail and appetizer in front of me. Dont waste your time.

I was just in the restaurant on 3/20/17. I have been dining here for years. The service has not been 5 star worthy but the food is good so I always come back. However on this day I was truly disgusted by the treatment I received. When I arrived it was about 2:06. No one was up front. I went to the kitchen after a few minutes to see if someone cld take my order. Finally after about 10 minutes or so the male hostess come up and he was extremely rude and nasty. He did not even greet me and looked disgusted by my presence. My order had been put in and I sat and waited. About 2:29 I seen him take 2 orders outside so I asked him could I eat my food here. He rolled his eyes and said I dont want you here until 3:00! I said you just took 2 orders out and they are going to have a fair opportunity to eat. He rolled his eyes again and took off. I will be spreading the word about this restaurant and the treatment you may receive if you decide to dine there

This is a great place for Pho (pronounced more like fa than fo). Prices are not that bad. We (2) got out of there for <60 with drinks. Parking is limited outside as its street parking but it is worth the parallel parking. Inside is small and quiet. The only real noise was people talking, so if you have several people there its good, if only a couple its a little too quiet. We ate the original Pho and the ribeye Pho which was phenomenal! We also had the fresh roll with Vietnamese pickled veges. The food is most definitely 5 stars but the ambience is needing. Overall I highly suggest this place and will most definitely go back.

Far East Nashville is a nice little restaurant on the east side of Nashville. A great palce to go for drinks but I would not recommend eating there. Ive tried several of their entrees and the I must say they were all awful. The pho is greasy and gross and the lemon salmon makes you want to immediately run to the bathroom and brush your teeth just to get the taste out of your mouth. The coconut curry chicken costs $9.00 and there is about a tablespoon of chicken in it. So youre really paying nine dollars for rice. Lets just say that I wont be returning. I suggest you stay far away from Far East.

The food was not bad, but the service was absolutely horrific. I dont know if our server was having a bad day or something, but he barely said 15 words to us the entire time we were there. Hardly greeted us, did not say his name. Gave us hardly any time to look over the menu and basically pressured us to order immediately, like we were inconveniencing him by being there. He was borderline rude throughout the experience. He should be fired. This place has a lot of potential to be really inviting and awesome, but people like our server today absolutely ruin cute little restaurants like this.

Good spot close to home. Not my favorite but its nearby and pretty tasty Pho. Usually get Pho, its very different from what Im use to but still tasty. The broth has a certain unusual flavor I am not use to. Its a kind of nutmeg/cardamom/cinnamon flavor. I guess you could say the broth kind of tastes "Christmasy". Its not bad at all though. Just different. Ive also had another soup I forget the name of. It was chicken and tiger shrimp in a spicy chicken broth with noodles and cabbage I believe. And It was delicious. I will definitely get it again.

Food is excellent here and there usually is no wait. Maybe I shouldnt be telling you. Haha. I go here probably more then anywhere in the neighborhood and the staff is very friendly. My favorite is the Hu Tiu which is like regular pho but with pork, shrimp, and a darker broth. Whenever Im not feeling good or feel a little down this stuff is like medicine. I also highly recommend the chicken wings. I dont know what they do to make them taste the way they do but they are amazing. They also have great beer and Boba tea. :)

Interesting place. Upscale Vietnamese food. The good... Food is decent. BBQ pork plate was awesome, Banh Xeo was good as well as the Banh Mi and Cafe Su Da. The bad ... The chicken pho broth sucks. Dont get it. White servers who know very little about the food they serve. Vietnamese people dont eat here. Only white folk. But its still a good place to go to. Clean and quality ingredients

Being Southeast Asian, I can say this is by far the most unauthentic Asian restaurant Ive been to. The pho broth is equal to dishwater. Its like they use instant noodle flavoring to make the broth. Charging $11for pho? Ridiculous. I suggest going to Miss Saigon in West Nashville or Vihn Long in South Nashville for mor authentic Vietnamese cuisine and fare prices. Bad pho should not cost $11

Decent, but the people are so stand-offish. And if you just want to grab takeout theyre wildly unpredictable on how long an order is going to take. Maybe takeout just isnt their thing. It feels ridiculous but multiple times now Ive driven all the way to Charlotte Ave to our old favorite digs even though this place is right down the block.

I left my ToGo order behind and they would not give it back to me when I called them back. They told me I had to pay for another meal. I was a loyal customer that came on a regular basis. I will never return and will continue to go to "Thai Phooket" they are way better, value their customers and provide appropriate customer service.

A great, informal Pho spot in East Nashville. The decor is Ikea. Its a simple sort of place, but its Pho so what more do you really want? The broth is tasty, good noodles and meats, garnishes fresh. I had the fried spring rolls. They were awesome. They have a few good beers. a couple are high grav. Cheap too.
