I have patronized the White Bridge location since moving to the North Nashville area eight years ago. Never in my experiences there or any other restaurant have I received such horrible service from management. The wait staff was great! They were attentive and courteous. However, the female manager today, Cinco de Mayo, was rude and disrespectful. A group of colleagues and myself decided to go after work today. There were about 12 of us and I will admit that we were a bit noisy, but considering we were in a separate area of the restaurant, were no louder than any other group of patrons. The manager came over once and asked us to quiet down. One co-worker asked if there was a complaint and she responded that there wasnt but she and another waiter were speaking and couldnt hear each other. The co-worker apologized and we continued our conversation. When the noise level elevated again, she then came into our seating area, waited until we finished conversation and then specifically told another co-worker of mine "Could you please use your inside voice?" With that comment we decided to leave. Not only was the comment rude, but as educators who were spending our hard earned money in this establishment, we felt like we were being treated like children. I apologize for the details; however, I wanted to put my comments in true perspective. The food was decent, the drinks were good, and so was the service from our wait staff. The manager could take a lesson in customer care and tact in dealing with large groups. As a business teacher, Id be more than happy to show her how to handle such situations. I gave a review of two stars as the service of the waiters and quality of food and drinks didnt warrant one star. Take the review as you want, but I can assure you that I will not patronize this establishment again. For those who know me, know that I am serious about customer service and being treated fairly as a such. If I say that I wont spend another dime there, that goes for the entire franchise. Customers are the reason for the business and if you drive enough of them away, the business will go under.

A bug was in our Margarita Pitcher tonight (02/15/14) at Cinco De Mayo at the 358 White Bridge Road location. I had never eaten here before and my friend from work wanted to go out and suggested that we go here. Mind you this was not her first choice but I wanted to try to check out the NBA All-Star game and figure this would be a good place since she had been here and their other locations before. Never again would I come to a place where there was hair in my food, mediocre service, and bugs in the ice/drinks. I was so shocked, disgusted, and embarrassed. I have never had anything of the sort happen to me ever! Not even at a fast food place! The manager of this establishment thought it was funny and laughed at the situation! I would not recommend this place or any of their other locations to anybody; friend or foe. The manager acted poorly and was very disrespectful about the situation. He did not represent this company in a good light and did not offer an apology.

Our club met here for a meeting on a weeknight, and I ordered tacos carne esada, and these cheap bastages only gave me 2 tacos and the steak was scarce and dry. Every other place I order this dish and always receive 3 or 4 tacos. Luckily, I was able to fill up on the rice and beans. Someone sitting next to me ordered a rice and chicken dish, and it looked like a kids meal. His wife, on the other hand, ordered the chicken natchos. Now let me tell you, brother, that was a great looking plate. Plate was piled 6 inches deep with shredded chicken and melted cheese. The service was quite good, although they must have been getting low on salsa because they never brought us anymore after the intial bowls were emptied (and despite our numerous) pleas for more, but the hot chips kept coming. Not a bad place... I would just like to get at least 3 steak tacos when I order a dinner plate (can you tell Im bitter about the tacos?).

I ordered two queso fajitas. When my fajitas came out they only had onions, green peppers, and cheese...no meat! I didnt discover this until I had taken a few bites of the first. It took almost 15 minutes to find the waiter to let him know. At that point the food was cold. Everyone I was with had finished their meals and we were about ready to go. Finally the manager/owner came to our table and told me I would have to pay for half of my plate because I had eat some of the first fajita. My other option was to have them bring me an order of beef. I wanted neither. He then began to act as if he could not understand that I just wanted to send the plate back and have it take of my bill. We ended up paying full price for a meal that only had three bites taken out of it. I will never visit this establishment again!!!

Not a great evening.... We went there to celebrate a pair of birthdays of my five-party group. Only one of the 5 orders were correct upon service, and one never even got her food. The manager was defensive and unapologetic about our problems with the service, and only offered his apologies after we called him on his attitude. Ive eaten at this place many times over the years and never had an issue, but wont ever again. I SUGGEST THAT YOU DONT EITHER. There are too many other options in the area for Mexican food than to take a chance on getting the same experience as we did at Cinco de Mayo.

The best true Mexican restaurant (not tex mex or anything like that) in the Charlotte Park/West Nashville area. That is mainly based on the food though. Their salsa is great (although the chips can sometimes be inconsistent in their quality) and the menu is full of great choices. The service is, well, average for a Mexican restaurant. Its hard to really hold that against them though when its the same as everywhere else.

Cinco De Mayo is definitely the best Mexican Restaurant in Nashville...better than Las Palmas, better than La Hacienda, better than all the non-local-chain Mexican places Ive been to in 5.5 years in Nashville. The service is great, too! Fast, friendly, accommodating. And, they speak English well enough to get your order right every time. (Authentic is good but getting your order right is equally important!)

Absolutely awesome restaurant. The white queso is out of this world. I personally had a chicken and cheese quesadilla, and it was stuffed with chicken and cheese. Awesome portion sizes! Everyone in my party was raving about how good their food was too. We are all from out of town, and Cinco de Mayo was the perfect place to spend our Saturday night after a long day at work!

They have the best spinach enchiladas in town. The mild salsa has amazing flavor and their rice and beans are soooo good. (I add some of the salsa to the rice just for a little umph). On top of the great food, the margaritas are very good. :-) Plus, the wait staff is attentive and are fast.
