Delicious food, prepared exactly to order. City Range is one of the more expensive steakhouses in Spartanburg, but it certainly is worth the premium cost. The steaks are fantastic, and cooked to the actual temp you request. The garlic bread with butter is soft and fluffy, with a strong garlic flavor. As good as the bread and steak were, the sides are bland. The asparagus seemed under cooked and completely unseasoned. Mashed potatoes were a good consistency, but again, they didnt taste like they had been seasoned at all. City Range has a CityBrew beer from a microbrewery that is really good. All in all a really good restaurant for the meats, but not everything on the menu is great.

Wow. Best prime rib Ive had possibly ever. The menu said I could "cut it with a fork." I thought that was a figure of speech, I was wrong. Prime rib was beyond amazing. The bread served with the meal was so fresh it almost melted in your hands and my wonton tuna appetizer was delicious. Staff was super friendly as well. I dined here because I was staying in a hotel next door; talk about hitting a culinary jackpot. This was my first time and even though I live 1000 miles away, Ill figure out a way to be back. This restaurant is the epitome of why a person should eat at a local establishment rather than a chain. Bon Appetit! Youre going to love it.

If there were an empty star, I would choose it. Servers need training - lots. Food brought out half way through salad - cold. Told prime rib medium was usually cold - really? Does that mean the potato is served cold, too? Server only returned to table when I ask another passing server, twice. Did get hot baked potato when we were nearly finished with steak. Manager no help. Brought hot au ju sauce to put on cold steak to warm it. Again, really? Terrible experience. OVERPRICED for the service. PS - If you have adverse reaction to salad that has been "treated" with preservative, dont order it. Made me sick!

My grandparents brought me to your restaurant before I left for home in Michigan. Our server JOSHUA was excellent!!! Our Food on the other hand was nothing more than the food you would receive at a PONDAROSA STEAK HOUSE CHEAP SALTY AND FULL OF FAT... The salad had a tsp of tomato/ cucumber. Our seasonal vegetables were under cooked as well as the asparagus!! The only thing good was atmosphere, and service!!! The price for quailty of food was appalling!!! I will never recommend this place to anyone!!

As a frist timer to the CityRange Steakhouse in Spartanburg. I found it be very comfortable. From the exceptional seating by the professional server.to the awesome menu where we found a number of delights .The food served here is Exceptional the filet was some of the best i have treated my taste buds to in a long time and served with a crisp glass of wine. CityRange has become on of my favorite places to enjoy a great meal when i am visting the south carloina area. See You Very SOOOOON

Went for a late dinner. The atmosphere was low key. The mini crab cake appetizer was excellent. My complaint about the seafood and grits was the lack of scallops in the dish. I might have found two (and they were delicious). They tried to make up for the lack of scallops with an overabundance of calamari. It was too much. The waitress could use a little improvement on attentiveness. I cant recommend this restaurant based on this experience. Not sure if Ill return.

Ok so we love to go out and eat at the best restaurants we can find, this place use to be a lot better. The service this time around was horrible, food came out wrong, and the portion sizes are crazy small especially the salmon. For the same price, You can go to bonefish and get an actual piece of salmon that is about 100 times better. Someone with us ordered salmon also and it was even smaller than mine. Will probably not go back.

the food is OK but the personal is kind of rude, I came to Spartanburg as a business trip and this restaurant is at a walking distance from my hotel. in both ocassions they tried to sit me in a ugly table just because I was by myself even though the restaurant was almost empty. in the first time they did not even offer me the table bred. I dont know if they consider themselves to fancy for me or what but I dont like

Food was the same old, okay taste, but way over-priced. Olive Garden is better; food wise and cost. The server was very nice. We had a party of 10, 4 of which were kids, so tip was included cost 290 for food plus tip of 48 and of course I left 7 more for tip. My whole party was disappointed with the taste in the food we just expected more for the price.

We came here for lunch last week. I usually get a steak here at dinner... never tried their burgers.. WOW! what a surprise. their burgers were absolutely fantastic. I was amazed. The environment is very clean and has that up-scale feel to it. Try the burgers at lunch! Great attentive staff. They were very knowledgeable about the menu and dishes.

We had great service and had great food. Even the table garlic bread which was served with melted butter was unique and delicious. I got the Black and Blue which is crab cakes served on filet medallions. Terrific! Kids got free dessert with their meals- another bonus. Highly recommend, definitely would come back.

Food was not bad. Service was excellent, but the kitchen was slow for the small number of customers. The steak with house sauce tasted like Kraft BBQ sauce. The asparagus had way too much garlic. Coffee from McDonalds is better. The Blackstone Merlot and conversation saved the evening.

Had a great dinner at the restaurant. Steak was cooked properly, waitress was attentive and never let my drink get half empty. The manager, David, is a wonderful guy. I plan to be back at this restaurant for many years to come. Thank you for having good food and excellent service

Attended an office party that included appetizers and drinks. Usual fare: chicken strips, hot spinach dip, pita chips; but also had tuna on wontons, fried shrimp and chicken flatbread. It was good and the staff was friendly. About what youd expect for a place like this.

I took my brother and his wife that live out of state to this steakhouse. I wish I had tried it first. Steak was terrible and for the price, I could have had a better steak at any low cost family steakhouse and saved some major bucks.

Stayed in a nearby at the Holiday Inn. Went late night for a full dinner and was not rushed. Prompt and friendly service from Katie. Try the Beef & Reef and mushrooms and leave the Goat Cheese salad alone lol. Overall a local gem.

II liked everything about this place. The food was great. The service was appropriate and never far away. I was traveling with a co-worker that asks about the local ale; to my surprise they had a local red which was great.
