My family and I dined at this IHOP for my nephews graduation. We had a large party of about 17 people. My sister called in advance so they could be prepared for our large group. When we walked in things were still being prepared which wasnt too big of a deal. Finally we are all situated 3 tables later. Our waitress comes over (already looking like she did not want to be bothered with our party) she starts us off with drinks. I did not catch her name but she is fair skinned with short curly hair (in case anyone goes). After we get our drinks (which seemed to take forever we start making our food orders. Now with a group this size her first question should have been how is everyone paying BUT she did not ask. As she is taking the orders people are telling her certain bills need to be separate. When she got to my sisters order my sister tells her that her and my brother in laws order need to be on the same check (they were not @ the same table) the waitress VERY rudely tells my sister that she needs to know these things in advance and there can not be this many separate bills and that she would need to speak with her manager. The manager and assistant manager come over take orders very politely. Our food took a lot longer than I would have liked BUT we were finally eating. Orders are coming out some good and some bad. The bad ones. My sisters pancakes come out as if they had been in the freezer and just thrown on a plate, my other sister had half of the toppings that were supposed to come on her sandwich missing and freezing cold fries. Once their orders were reordered things seemed to be ok. BTW the waitress NEVER came back to apologize. I would not recommend this location for large parties. The bathrooms are horrible as well! What they need to do is hire someone for housekeeping to keep up with the restrooms! This was my experience I hope yours doesnt turn out this way!

This place is awful....and I love IHOP...but this location is just all kinds of jacked up. I got seated quick..so that was ok. But fron there it all just went downhill. It took about 20mins for my server to come and take my order when the place was pretty dead. Tbere was maybe 6 other guests there..mostly pairs of 2. I told her my order...another 20mins goes by...she comes back with my food. I had asked for a buttermilk short stack and 2 sides of bacon(extra crispy). The top pancake on my short stack was cold...the bacon was not how I askes for it to be and the was only 7 slices of bacon..not 8. So I brought it to her attention...she took the bacon...and then when she brought it back it seemed to be the same bacon...just recooked plus another slice. I didnt feel like arguing plus I was really hungry so I just gave up and ate my food. The pancakes had traces of spinkles which I found very odd. At the end I gave her a small tip and that was only because of her effort. At least she was doing her job...the other servers were busy playing around with guys and gossiping amongst themselves. Unfortunately...when I got home I ended up throwing everything up. That has never happened after visiting any IHOP ever before...and I have visited a few within the 5 boros. So I will not be revisiting that location ever again.

This IHOP (not iHop) is deceptively big. The front entrance leads to large dining room capable of seating big families from Midwestern tourists. (No one has THAT big of a family in NY apartments, do they?) I ate in the middle of the day, avoiding any breakfast or lunch crowds, and had great friendly service. The coffee came quickly, as did the refill pitcher. Unfortunately, the egg dish arrived tasting like the ingredients were poured from a carton rather than broken from a shell, so Id recommend an omelet option rather than a straightforward egg dish for better flavor. On stronger footing, the pancakes were stacked, hot and fluffy. The syrup selection was varied with maple and fruit options, and I quickly eliminated the more anemic ones to settle on the blueberry. Strawberry came in second. My dining timing backfired as I must have been in-between shifts. Service was great up to a point, but getting the check and paying for my bill took forever. I recommend politely asking for the bill when the food is delivered to spare yourself the same fate. Luckily I still had the coffee to keep me company.

Went to this Ihop on 2/24/12 with my three younger siblings for a late dinner to celebrate on of their birthday. When we first arrived we were taken to a table right away. Our serve than can over to introduce herself (she seemed nice enough). After a few moments she came back to take our order, while placing my order she suggested I get a side of fruit to replace the pancakes I didnt want with my meal, I thought it was a good idea and agreed to the fruit. After waiting 35 minutes for our food, she finally came back without my fruit, not wanting to wait another 35 minutes I simply just didnt even bring it up. As I went to eat my hash brown I realized the fork neatly wrapped in the napkin placed by my plate still had food from a previous customer stuck to it. I had to use my younger brothers spoon. To top it all off our server never even bothered to come back to our table after we got our food to make sure we didnt need anything else. Although we all enjoyed our food, I would never again visit this location due to the long wait period for our food & dirty silverware I was expected to eat with.

OMG!! this was the worst experience I ever had at ihop on 14th street I LOVE IHOP and to get a waitress who didnt know what she was doing at all. She was rude and sassy thought it was cute and it wasnt. My friends felt that she was bipolar because one minute she will tell you something and come back and say she didnt say that, then messes up your order then blames the cook. Then one of my friends got her food last pancakes were cold and said to her that her meal was free. Now when it came to paying the pill she charged her and over charged another friend of mine because she didnt know how to split the bill when she should of gone to the manager. We spoke to the manager and he obviously didnt know what he was doing either they need to redo their business especially with employees she was the worst never again am I going back to that ihop .

I dont recommend to eat in this restaurant. I was waiting 15-20 minutes and no waiter or waitress came to attend me. I noticed a whole lot of them were busy talking in the corner. Horrible place to enjoy a nice breakfast. Lousy service, and they prefer to catch up on the latest gossip while the customer is waiting for service. I had a very long they ahead of me and all I wanted was a good breakfast at a restaurant I hear have very good food, but it turns out I was wrong and just sad how they are making customers wait. Im never coming hear again. It forces me to put at least one star while I write this review or I cant post but if it gave me the option to put zero stars I would.
