To get taste of spicy good indian food, i believe this is the right place. When I compare the choice and the quality of food to that of any jersey city restaurant, this place beats all of them in every department. If you like hot spicy indian food you have landed at the right place. I love the lunch buffet and I am a regular customer here. The lunch buffet menu covers everything from Indian chinese , good vegetarian dishes to excellent chicken and lamb. Although I found the food spicy and hot as compared to other restaurant in jersey city the quality and cleaniless is much better here than in jersey city. I think they can improve upon their paneer dishes, where i found the paneer to be hard and chewy. I have given them 5 star as the service is very good and courteous and food is excellent.

We are spending one week in the area, living in an apartment in Union City. This restaurant is so great, we ordered delivery two consecutive evenings! Good food takes its time, and our apartment is quite a bit from the restaurant, but service was very reliable, starting with understandability at the phone, being called back for clarifications, or whatever. We had Samosas (Lamb and Veggie), Naan, Sag Lamb (which was the best!), Roghan Josh, Chicken Korma, Lamb Kali Miri and others. All were great, and we were glad that we had so many choices around the table, and shared a lot. Should we be in the area again, we will definitely be back, definitely the best Indian restaurant I have ever eaten!

I just moved to this area and dont know a lot of places. I found their information online and wanted to give it a shot but now I cant rate them since they dont even know how to deliver food! The guy who was taking the order was asking me how his guys will drive to my home! They dont have a gps, they cant check on Google maps, they do nothing and expect you to explain them everything! If they are this terrible on taking delivery orders I am not sure how good they could be on taking orders when you are at the reataurant!!!

I have been eating and ordering from this establishment for several years. In the last 6 months the quality of food has been absolutely terrible. I am leaving this review after ordering delivery 3 times and being quite disappointed each time with the quality food. Everything from being under-cooked to over-cooked to under-marinated food has become the norm. I usually dont leave a review after one bad experience because stuff-happens. But 3 times with delivery orders needs a serious Q/C check by the management.

I am indian. This place had the blandest indian food ever! Ordered biryani and lamb korma. Asked for spicy and got zero taste.....I might as well of cut my tongue out. No where near true indian cuisine. Restaurant meant for the pseudo world traveler.....you know what I mean.....e.g. the guy who travels to the Amazon and stays at a Days Inn. Overly expensive. Service inattentive. They must be rationing water. I feel sad. Head to NYC.....preferrably Queens :)

The atmosphere was very nice, although not particularly Indian. The food overall was very good. The appetizer we had, paratha bread stuffed with crab legs and shrimp was excellent. The lamb sag was very good, although it could have been spicier. The only meal that disappointed us was the chicken vindaloo. The vindaloo sauce was not like any I have seen at other Indian restaurants. So if we go back, we will avoid that dish.

I have only been to the buffet two times, so I cant speak for ordering individual dishes/delivery. Although the selection was limited by buffet standard, the food were flavorful - I especially recommend saving your stomach for the hot dishes over the cold dishes. Staffs were also polite and generally efficient in taking care of your needs. If I am not trying to lose weight, I would come to Kinara every week.

You can always count on Kinara. While food there never reaches outstanding, it is always consistently good. Service is quick and staff is attentive. My wife usually orders off menu and they are happy to oblige. And when you ask to have your food mildly spicey, it arives as requested. Food is plentiful and always fresh. An added bonus is its BYOB.

Not expected as we thought. It was Weekday buffet and was not that good. The soup was average. Navarthan Korma was average and no authentic vegetables was found. No starters. No mixed varieties in breads (Standard Nan only). Dessert was ok we had Kheer with less sugar, so had doubt that it was a sweet item and no varieties/options in that too.

if they improved their waiters a little bit, i would give them 4 stars. the food is decent but inconsistent. on a day it could be spectacular and on another it could be pretty sub-standard. the saag paneer is the pick of the menu in the veggies. Update: got food poisoned after dinner.

Great place, one of the best Indian restaurants in North Jersey. Food is delicious, with a great, varied menu selection, service is prompt and atmosphere has a very warm- classy vibe. Love all the Indian art gracing the walls of the restaurant. Glad to have this place in the area!

Since Maharani in Fort Lee and Basil in Englewood are gone, I decided to try this Indian restaurant in Edgewater. It was ok, nothing special. The food wasnt bad, but it wasnt great either. I was hoping for better.

Everything came out really sweet on a delivery. We complained and they sent a replacement dish that was sweet as well. Switched to "Touch of Spice" despite being a Kinara customer for 12 years.

The quality has dropped significantly in last few months. Food used to good but lately the food and service has dropped, todays food, bill for 70 dollars has no salt. Time to look for options.
