Oh. My. Lanta. A friend and I visited the taproom this afternoon. We wound up here for an early dinner after going to MAP Brewing and receiving no service after 20 minutes of waiting, in hopes of a waitstaff that would actually acknowledge our presence. Nope. We were seated by a hostess. Our waitress came over shortly and asked for our drink orders. The drink my friend wanted was apparently not available upstairs and, instead of offering to go get it for her, the waitress told my friend she would need to go downstairs herself and get it. Okay, whatever. Then it comes time for me to order a drink and I tell her Ill need a minute as Ive never visited the taproom before. She goes "okay", walks away, comes back 20 seconds later and expects me to be ready. What??? Im still not quite sure what I want, so she proceeds to lay on our table and wait until Im ready, so I just chose something. She walks away without asking for my ID, comes back several minutes later to ask for it, and then finally brings my drink over. At this point Im already a little uncomfortable, but whatever. So we start drinking our beers, and wait for someone to come take our food order... and wait... and wait... and wait... 20 minutes later waitress has not come back at all. So we ask the gals next to us if it took them that long to take their order. They say no and finally one of them grabs a different waiters attention and he comes and takes our order. Waiter 2 grabs Waiter 1s attention when I ask what the soup of the day is, neither of them know. Waiter 2 says "sorry its my first day" so I just tell him to skip it, Ill take a salad, add chicken. We get our food and I realize I have paid $5 extra for maybe 1 oz of chicken. Ummm not cool. Also several toppings on my salad were missing. Meanwhile, waiter 1 is attending to several other groups around us - the table next to us has had 3 rounds of drinks, 2 rounds of appetizers, and are starting their meals. She has not been back to check up on us and neither has waiter 2. We finish our meals, get stuff boxed up after catching a busboys attention. Waiter 1 is still tending to all the other guests beside us and has not been back to our table. Waiter 2 is standing at the bar chatting with busboys. Each of them walked by us at least 10 times without acknowledging our presence until waiter 2 walks up, starts to say something, and I say "can we get our checks?" He stops mid-sentence and goes "oh....I thought waitress 1 got them for you" No. If she had we still wouldnt be sitting here an hour and a half later. We finally get our checks, and to our astonishment, waitress 1s name is on our check as if she had done anything. Adrienne C, you need to step up your game and your attentiveness. I love the patio seating but apparently we got seated in the Bermuda Triangle because we seemed to completely disappear during our stay. After this outrageous experience, I do not plan to come back.

We were excited to try out the taproom. Unfortunately the service was very slow, the beer seemed warm and the food was subpar. It seems like they didnt pay much attention to the menu, and just through the first things on the menu that came to mind. Portion sizes were very small for the price, For $10 I should actually feel full. My sandwich came out with unmelted cheese! My buddys sandwich had about one measly piece of ham on it, and my other friends hotdog was something that shouldve cost about $3... Good beer selection though... Ill try again after theyve been open a little longer.

Even though this business has come under fire for being close to a school, they still have a great facility. The staff is attentive and but varies in their customer service approach. Ive had servers who know a lot about their beer, others do not, others (you can tell) are just there to do their job and leave. I like the design and beer selection, they have TVs for football, and their pricing is great. They offer various serving sizes for varied prices, and for someone who does not drink a lot of beer but still wants to hang with friends, the smaller portions are great.

The one thing they have going for them is they DO have a great selection of beers. But the food is soooo bad! Fries taste like the ones you get from the frozen aisle at the grocery store- dry as a bone and freezer burn included. The bread for the panini style sandwiches is stale and crumbly, also tasteless. The service is ok, but the staff walk around awkwardly staring over your shoulder at tables which is sort of unnerving. If all you want is beer, this is a good stop. Way cleaner than a bar and with a nice atmosphere. But if your hungry, skip it and find a brewery!

Great beer and atmosphere. I spend a lot of time here, and I have never had any issues with a server in the past. The messed up 3 of our orders and were unable and unwilling to bring the right food (we offered to pay for new meals for the people who could not eat the meal brought to them.) When we mentioned the issue the server was angry and told us that we were all lying. To add to it, when my friend asked the server to speak to the manager, the manager never came to apologize. I hate to write a bad review but the experience was not worth the hassle.

Great beer served in a beautiful spot with mediocre food and the highest prices in Montana. We appreciate the killer beer selection, particularly the Belgians/Sours. BUT, its $5 for 5 ounces, didnt think you could find a $15 pint in Bozeman yet. Food is off a sysco truck. Service was mediocre, check other reviews. In closing, much better spots in Bozeman for a beer and some food. This place is the epitome of "bro-zeman".

Great atmosphere, though it would be nice if they carried more beers from other locations that are tough to find locally in the grocery stores and gas stations. Its tough to justify $6 for the same beer that can be had at any of the other downtown bars for $4 -- or for $7 per 6-pack at the gas station. If they carried more beers that arent distributed to every other bar, Id go more frequently.

Horrible service. We go to the rooftop enjoy the summer. To bad we cant get a server to pay any attention. You might get one drink. But good luck getting them to come back and even check on you. Meanwhile four servers stand and "chit chat" with the bartender about the upcoming ski season. I like the atmosphere but hate the lazy entitled college waitstaff.

Living in Beerlandia Portland Oregon I visit taprooms all day long. There are literally 20 in a mile from my home. This place would fit right in with the best in Portland. Even the bratwurst was good. Not the best you can get in Portland but up there. Patio on the roof and you cant go wrong.

The rooftop views are unbelievable, the staff is attentive, and the beer selection is unique. Would like to see more patio heaters. They have an unwritten rule that if you walk into the establishment topless, your first beer is free. I didnt believe it until I saw - its for real!
