Best deli east of New York? Not on your life. Its not even close to being the best deli in metro Detroit. I work in Southfield, so Ive had my share of good deli experiences down there. This does not compete with Southfield institutions like Star Deli, StackerZ, or Vineyards. Ordered the smaller pastrami sandwich (they call it "Less Is More"), on rye, with swiss and mustard, and a half-order of the much-lauded onion rings. I suspected something was amiss when the waitress immediately brought a bottle of Frenchs to my table. I have to add my own mustard? OK I guess, as long as youre not charging me extra for it. Sandwich and rings arrived in short order. Sandwich was good-sized for the price, but the pastrami was lukewarm at best and the swiss cheese was just thrown on at the last second and not even slightly melted. The rye bread, assuming it is supposed to be double-baked (to be fair, they do not advertise this), was sub-par - crust was too doughy and not crisp at all. The acclaimed onion rings were pleasantly NOT over-breaded, and indeed very tasty, but my $2.95 half-order got me a half-dozen rings about the size of the circle made by my thumb and middle finger. Six of those, at $0.50 each, is quite frankly a joke. I can buy a whole onion for about another 20 cents. I finished my meal and the bill arrived. What do you know, they charged me $1.75 for mustard. Plain, yellow mustard I had to add myself. A dollar seventy five! Outrageous. The waitress certainly should have informed me of this when I ordered it, but she did not. $14 total, including tip. Even the priciest Southfield deli has much better food and is a better value. I wont be back.

Everything about Times Square is fantastic. The deli sandwiches are absolutely fantastic and can rival any sandwich of its type found in New York or Chicago. The portion size is what truly sets their entrees apart from other similar restaurants. The servers are always nice and accommodating and the prices are 100% reasonable. However, Im giving four stars because of their hours. Ive been irritated to find on the weekends theyre only open until 4:00 PM on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I can understand they probably cater to a senior crowd for the breakfast hours, but it seems they likely miss out a great deal on being open for dinner on many of our days off. I know Ive tried to get food there on several occasions, only to find them closed. Management, if you ever read this, please consider being open til maybe 6:00 or 7:00 on these days. I GUARANTEE youll get business!

Ate lunch with my husband over the weekend. We both had the French dip. Food was delicious but that night and all the next day I paid the price. We both got terrible sick in the stomach! I called to tell the owner Steve and he basically told me now way because only two days old but my hourly trips to the bathroom tell a different story. I wasnt trying to get free food or anything from them just wanted to make sure no one else got sick but owner didnt care to hear about it. Wouldnt EVER go back again.

Times Square has a good food on the menu, but sometimes I will order a different dish that I usually will love from other places and it ends up being disappointing and just kinda bad. The fries first of all are terrible, dont pay extra for them since their undercooked and no flavor. Otherwise this restaurant has lots of potential and will go back once and awhile for the items on the menu that are actually good, but sadly thats not many...

disappointed in my salad... usually its not enough toppings, but today, there was hardly enough spinach (didnt even cover the bottom of the to go container. For the amount I paid, it wasnt worth it. Granted I dont expect it to be heaping, but not worth $11 I paid. I will go to Old Detroit from now on. At least I know what Im getting.

No joke it really is, Everything I have ever ordered here has been great. Huge HUGE sandwiches. This is the best deli from here to Birmingham. Salads are great, desserts are excellent. Only thing I wasnt crazy about was the burger but the rest of there menu makes up for it. definitely worth trying.

In response to Carrie Bermans review: we sold 14 of those sandwiches that day. NOT ONE person called to say they were sick. I find it HIGHLY doubtful that it was our food when 12 other people ate the same sandwich yet only you and your husband became ill that night. KELLY LUCHKOVITZ/ OWNER

This restaurant took some homemade soup and some hot coco to bell ringers that stand out side volunteering at Kroger and wen I saw the owner bring it to him he was happy because he had been freezing out their for a long time and I saw his face that time square made his day.

Amazing!! The food is great, they have a good breakfast too! We frequent here several times a week. All the ladies and wait staff are friendly and prompt. If they are busy they are good at communicating any delays, etc. Good daily deals like the dollar burger! :-D

A wonderful local restaurant with amazing food. My favorite is the chicken salad pita. They also have fresh soups everyday. All homemade and delicious! Phone ahead for take-out too. Like their Facebook page for daily soups.

Best deli sandwich you will get outside of a NYC deli! The also offer breakfast and other type of food. The only downside is that they close a bit early. But I promise you wont get a bad deli sandwich here.

I was excited when I learned that the owners of Times Square was opening a restaurant in Lake Orion. But disappointed upon eating there, this restaurant does not fill the shoes of its parent in Romeo.
