NEVER AGAIN!!! On 12-19=2015, My family, a party of 18, met at Texas Roadhouse, La Plata, for a Christmas meal. after calling ahead several hours prior(because of the large party), we were assured that we could have 1 large table and it would be ready within 10 or 15 minutes of our arrival time of 3:30 pm. It was 4:45 before were were eventually seated at 2 tables in the same area but separated by another table. Bad service followed. and the server didnt get it in gear until she started to lobby for the tip, we were getting ready to leave. The food was good! The restaurant was over crowded, to the point that you could not walk without weaving in and out of people, trying to move the opposite direction while rubbing elbows and bodies against you. The tables were so packed that there was only about 18 inches between chair backs. I found myself wondering what the fire marshal would say, as I saw no nearby fire exits and was wondering what to do in case of a fire and the toll in human life a fire would have taken in the severely overcrowded restaurant. There was also NO consideration for my wife, who was handicapped and the girl who seated us vanished in a sea of people, about 100 feet ahead, leaving us unsure where to sit. Finally, my wife(who is disabled and has a heart condition) endured so mush shoving while going to the exit, she had breathing problems and recorded a heart episode on the portable heart monitor she wears. There was no consideration from patrons, especially a few very loud and rude sports fans., sometimes drunken sports fans, who were eager to get to the bar. The server wore a T-shirt that said Proud to Serve Veterans. She told me that Texas Road House doesnt care as they have rescinded their Active Duty and Retired Military Discounts. Let me make clear that while I am retired Military(over 20 years of active duty), I wasnt seeking, nor expecting to receive and did not ask for a discount. It was just another rude and abrupt statement. I will NEVER eat there again!

We dont make it to Texas Roadhouse very much, but this evening , it was convenient. We do eat at steakhouses a lot and with industry professionals in the family, we tend to be accepting of some things and critical of others. This evening, our server was new but she worked hard to keep us satisfied. Her back of house, however, left a lot to be desired. The food, all of it, from fries to steaks, was salty. Baked potatoes were all undercooked. The poor server brought me out a second beer and got a short lesson in beer-ology as the bartender mistakenly poured a Yuengling or something rather than the Hopscape I ordered. The managers visit was well meant and we did appreciate the attempt at making things right. Lessons learned...if you dont like salty everything, order your food with light seasoning. Good people trying hard, and a nice, family atmosphere. It is best to be aware of what you are ordering and how it is prepared.

Have gone here a few of times (usually meeting friends or family) and was disappointed every time. The wait staff is inattentive and poorly trained. Theyre always forgetting one thing or another (rolls, silverware, peanuts, drinks, etc). The food is mediocre and for the quality, definitely overpriced. The hostess are rude, and there always seems to be five or six of them just hanging around the podium chatting like theyre at recess--Most of them are high school students. All they have are booths, which are not handicap friendly or high chair friendly. The floor has been sticky/wet/covered in crap every time Ive been there. The only reason why I gave this two stars is because I love the rolls. Other than that, this place sucks and La Plata would be better off without it.

After checking in with a party of 13, all present at the time of check in, we were told approximately 30 minutes on the wait time. We all agreed that was sufficient considering this was impromptu. However, we waited 45 minutes after watching a birthday party of 12 leave together and yet we still were not seated. So after waiting another 15 minutes, we questioned the hostess about how much longer we would have to wait, and was told another 30 to 40 minutes. At this time another hostess was under the impression that we were waiting on the rest of our party. This is highly unacceptable for such an established business. Im very disappointed in this one establishment. We cone to this area every year, and I promise you, we will not be back.

Food is not great, wait staff always forgets something and seem to be under trained. Bunch of high scool kids with no respect to others. Call ahead due to being disabled explain that on phone they advise me table will be ready upon arrival. I only live 5 mins away so feel its great, but get there and be told there is 20 or 30 min wait. We waited 30 mins before I got up to ask how much longer to hear it will be about another 10 mins. I hate this place, and hope they go out of business.

I absolutely love this place the only thing I dont like is ordering well done "no pink"and get my steak and see my steak bleeding total turn off, even though the manager came and spoke with me on 3 different occasions (3 different visits) to let me know that its the bone marrow but I believe if I ask for well done no pink I shouldnt have to experience 3 different occasions blood running from my steak. I still patronize this place I just expect a well done steak NO PINK NO BLEEDING

I usually enjoy my experience here. However tonight my server was too busy eating in the back when I was ready to go. I handed my check over to the hostess and she rolled her eyes like I had asked her for her paycheck and to borrow her car:(. I wont be back. Ill go to the location in California MD. They are super pleasant and the service is awesome. Ask for Grady if you go he is a lump of sugar I promise you:)

The food was delicious. The Porter House steak was really good. The chilli was delicious, and they actually had unsweetened strawberry, raspberry and other unsweetened teas for a diabetic family member of mine. Staff were very attentive and this was an overall excellent experience. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Very very disappointed! Im from South NJ and the Road House I normally dine at is excellent. My experience at the LaPlata Maryland location not so much! Dirty utinsels, sub-par steaks, service and dirty restroom (mens). The only bright spot was our waitress. Will never eat at the LaPlata Texas Road....sad

The steaks are very good, however, the cooks have consistently undercooked my steaks. Vicky is a great server and management has always owned up to the mistakes. I keep going back because I know if there is a problem they will fix it one way or another. In my opinion, they have the #1 steak in the area.
