I hope this happened just to me. Went in there with my family and was nicely seated. Our server, not sure if intentionally or unintentionally was not too willing to serve. Looking around, all other guests were served Papads, but nothing ever came to our table. The appetizer, Dahi Puri was more of a shrikhand puri than dahi puri. Forgoing that, the food was good enough. Again comes the disappointment, the check came to our table as folded piece of paper n almost thrown on the table. I thought, it may be their style, only until I realized that all other tables had the check decently placed on a writing pad. I have also left the same feedback, but not sure if the management will ever read or respond to it. NOT SURE IF I WILL GO THERE AGAIN.

An indian who could not eat at India. I wish i could rate this place. Went for brunch, seated promptly and waited for more than 15 minutes without any acknowledgement by anyone and the staff continues to walk around without notice and the restaurant had only two additional table occupied. Someone walks by to serve water to the table seated 15 minute after us and that was it for us. Could not take it anymore and decided to leave as could not even find a manager. This would be one place i will not be going back to.

Excellent food, good service and decent atmosphere. Great place to have a family style dinner and try different entrees. Diverse menu with all the staples of Indian cuisine as well as unique, lesser known dishes. The andhra masala and vindaloo are delicious. The only downside is the price, being on the more expensive side even for West Hartford. Overall India, along with Bombay Olive, is one of the best Indian restaurants in the whole greater Hartford area, definitely worth the trip!

Went here for dinner with family. The food taste and quality are very nice. But I found the price was very high for many items specially the non-veg small plates and tandoori kebab entrees.. E.g. The tandoori prawns which is $26 dish comes with some 5 prawns and although termed as entree has nothing else to balance. A bed of rice or better salad would have made it complete entree for me. But other than nice food and location. Would recommend to call/reserve ahead to avoid delays.

Fine dining restaurant so costlier than other normal Indian restaurants. option is very less. Food type is north Indian type. Went couple of times and tried some items and out of that Jaipuri Chicken, kofta, naan items were good, Biriyani, Navratna Kurma, andhra chicken masala were not bad. Tandoori chicken and paneer were not good enough. Taste wise not bad but its not value for money if we compare based on price.

The food is fine but Americanized-bland. Prices are roughly 1.6x what you would expect to pay. A $14 entree anywhere else is $20. Starters and naan are pricey. Alcohol prices are also very high. There was no lunch menu on a Saturday which made their pricing even more excessive. If it were flavorful food art with top service, I wouldnt mind. For very generic Indian and apathetic service, it is a poor value.

Very disappointing considering the anticipation based on the Fairfield county locations. For Indian food it was exceptionally bland, and these were dishes we were all ( 4 of us ) familiar with. The sauces were more thick goop then sauces. It was not even close enough to good that I would try it again. There are better Indian restaurants in the area..even though it is not know for good Indian in general

The food is fantastic! The lunch special is a great deal! Service is awful! TOO SLOW! People who come for lunch are trying to get back to work! Cant for the life of me figure out why the service is so bad! 6 times we have gone to lunch because the food is that good, all 6 times there is a service issue. We dont want to give up, something has to be done!

This place is excellent. I came in with a party of six and we ordered 9 different dishes, all of which were delicious. My personal favorite was the biryani, which I topped with Malai Kofta. The Kulcha was also incredible, as was the pistachio kulfi. Servers were very attentive and fast.

I had an aweful experience.I ordered podi idli , where they gave some 5-6 idlis jst dipped in ghee and salted with out any podi, seasoning ,taste and any especially no chutney.I also ordered chicken tikka naan, which was too thick and not all tasty. worst exp ever.

Not a good choice for Indians. We ordered briyani and chicken tikka masala. Both had horrible taste. Pls dont go to this place if you want to eat authentic indian food. However the service was awesome. I would give 5 star rating for the service.

Negatives: Its in the square, so naturally prices have to justify. No buffet. Not as spicy or flavorful as a typical authentic indian restaurant. Pros: Food is fresh and meat is very tender. Presentation and service is good.

Fresh delicious farm-to-table Indian cuisine. We loved the flavors and the selection. Excellent service and a much better drink selection than any Indian place I have been to. We are glad to have this as an addition to the area!

Updating after changes in recipes? Last 2 visits were not as great as the first 5. Love the "andara curry" but this time it was watery. Tandoori chicken was still amazing and tender. Pricey, ambiance is a little funky.

Worst service. Front desk person has no clue what she is doing. Manger has no manners to talk to customers. Will never go there again. Not even worth a star. No wait area ,over crowded and over booked.

Great food, service, and very clean. Been there twice- once for dinner and once for dinner. The tiki masala, crispy kale salad and koncan crab (just to name a few) are very tasty! Highly recommend

I have visited here multiple times now first being at my anniversary. Very good food. Very different menu from a typical Indian restaurant. Must try. Staff is very helpful and accommodating.

I called them to check if the food they serve is halal, and it is! Really good veg samosas too. Its a great addition to West hartford , and the location is awesome.

Mango Lassi us excellent. Appetizers like paneer 65 are excellent. Entrees are ok. passion fruit creme brulee is a joke. Full of coconut.

The food was good. Service was slow. And I think its a little over priced. Dinner for two with a couple of beers was $130 with tip.

The food is absolutely fabulous. I do think they need to lower the cost of a glass of house wine. $12??? That is very unreasonable.
