Pappadeaux is amazing!! Great food, great service...my wife and I cant wait to go back! They give you large portions and the prices were pretty decent for such a nice seafood place. We started out with the Crispy Fried Alligator appetizer. Very tasty! A bit on the spicy side though, so you may want to avoid this dish if spicy foods upset your stomach like they do mine. We also had the Crab Cakes appetizer. Wow!! My wife and I both agreed that these were the best crab cakes weve ever had! They were absolutely amazing, and nice and big like crab cakes should be. I would come back just for the crab cakes alone. My wife had a cup of clam chowder, which was also excellent. Since we had already eaten so much food just on the appetizers and bread alone, we decided to share an entree. We ordered the Shrimp & Scallop Orecchiette Pasta. It was delicious and we definitely had enough food to share between the two of us. Scallops arent always easy to get right, but Pappadeaux nailed it! We finished with some dessert. My wife had the Cheesecake with strawberries and I had the Praline Cheesecake. Both were delicious and very decadent. They were so big we couldnt finish them, so we had them boxed up to take home. Our wait was short, the service was great, the food was excellent and came out fast and hot, and it wasnt outrageously priced. This was the best restaurant experience Ive had in a long time. My wife and I can easily say weve found our new favorite seafood place!

Private dining here is fantastic! My husband and I just graduated with our masters and we wanted to celebrate, so we hosted a dinner for our family and a few close friends (a total of 16 people) the same weekend as mothers day. Weve always loved the food, but the prices can be high when youre looking at parties bigger than the normal 2 to 6 people. Kristin helped us figure out all the details and made it so effortless for us. She tweaked the existing private dining menus to fit our familys tastes and even accommodated gluten-free diets. They dont nickel and dime you for reasonable adjustments- our prices per person stayed the same. If you have a large group, private dining definitely makes it more affordable, and you still get some of the best dishes on the menu. Our Menu (picture below) included filet mignon and lobster tail! The service was excellent, we had two dedicated servers who made sure everyone had everything they needed. We also had a private room with doors which made it quiet and easy to have conversations with everyone. We had the tables set up in a rectangle with 5 on each side/3 on each end. Everyone could see each other- no leaning down a long banquet table to have a conversation- and everyone was included (a rare thing for a family of our size dining out). Bottom line- everything was incredible and were already trying to find something else to celebrate to have an excuse to go again soon!

On the 17th of July 2015 we went to Poppadeauxs for my birthday dinner. We had a party of ten, all family. It was tremendously busy. We were met by the greeters and were told that it would be just a few minutes. About seven minutes later we were told that our room was ready and this very nice young lady took us back. We were immediately greeted by our server Katie. She took our drink orders and after we received our drinks, she asked if we had looked at the appetizer menu. We had and we ordered. After enjoying excellent appetizers, Katie then asked if we were ready to order. We did, and I have to say, as busy as the restaurant was, we received out food in a very short period of time. What a great meal. Katie made sure that everyone got exactly what they wanted. We were able to enjoy our meal, talk, and enjoy the great time that we were having. Then came time for dessert. We all ordered, and Katie brought in my vanilla cheesecake with a candle. Katie, you made my 65th birthday a very wonderful birthday, and your attention to detail, professionalism, but also throwing in the personal touch was just fantastic. Thank you Katie for making my day so great.

I was a little disappointed by the food. I spent a reasonable sum for dinner and was underwhelmed by the whole thing. The service was good and our waiter was great. I had the alligator, which was my favorite part of the entire meal, it was absolutely delicious. The lobster bisque was so-so, I was happy that there were large chunks of lobster, but I prefer a smoother, more robust bisque and this seemed more like a stew with a bisque base. My main entree was the jumbo shrimp fettucini alfredo and this is where I was the most unimpressed. My shrimp was overcooked and rubbery and the pasta was "ish", I didnt love my meal. I ate it because I was hungry, but I didnt ENJOY the food. I did have one issue with the drinks when I ordered lemonaid with my dinner and assumed that the refills were free, theyre not. I ended up drinking 10 dollars worth of lemonaid when I couldve had endless refills of free water. Overall, it was just ish, typical chain-restaurant food at higher than typical prices.

Im undecided on my dinning experience at this Pappadeaux location. The first time I visit here the customer service was superb and the food was to die for. Impressed with this first visit I decided to come back and thats when I experienced the inconsistency in the food. Once again the customer service was excellent, so thats one thing that is really going well for this business. The owner must have high standards on customer service. The food however, was awful. Unlike the first visit the food was over seasoned and lacked quality in presentation. I was very disappointed because all week I was looking forward to the delicious appetizers and entrees, but everything fell short. The food was edible just not tasty like my first visit. I dont know what happened maybe the cooks was having a good day. It sucks because Im from the east coast, so I was impressed by this Midwest seafood restaurant. So sorry because I wanted to love this place.

We went here to celebrate a friends birthday. It was crowded as it was a Saturday night. We had reservations set for 7PM. I did arrive a bit early to have a couple cocktails before the rest of the party arrived. When it comes to waiting guests there isnt a whole lot of overflow room to contain them. I made my way to the bar as it is very uncomfortable standing skin to skin with a stranger. I was lucky enough to find a spot to occupy while I waited for the others. The drinks were great but I will admit with the large Stella I ordered it was quit difficult to drink from the margarita glass that weighed more then my dinner plate. The service at our table was mediocre which makes it difficult when tipping at an expensive restraunt. The catch 22 is that the bill was $300 but I definitely did not feel that the server should have received the standard "20%" on top of the bill. Karma is a pain though so I sucked it up and delivered.

We called prior to coming in asking if there was a wait list and the host told us there was no wait. We arrive to Pappadeaux and they tell us there was a 1 hour wait, so we end up waiting outside because my parents have never ate here. We give the girls a number to page us to tell us when a table was ready, and 1 hour later she comes out looking for us and giving us attitude for not answering the phone call/or text, when they didnt end up texting us til we sat down but thank God the waiter was better than the service in front. I work in the restaurant business and I know that 5 or 6 girls in the front should not be giving people attitude like they did. Especially to the girl who was snapping her finger at us cause we didnt answer when we didnt answer. So for that the service was horrible, to see them the first thing we walk in is a negative vibe from the start. And we will never come back here ever again.
