First off I want to say, Id only write a review if it was worth sharing. It takes a lot to impress me enough to write a review. Coohills is one place that completely went above and beyond anything Id ever expect. We had my wifes 30th birthday at this restaurant and it was absolutely amazing! The party turned out a hundred times what I thought it would be, its beyond words to describe! The amount of effort the restaurant went through to make this a great night, was so special and memorable. The restaurants atmosphere and ambience was so incredible! The staff was so amazing, attentive, and accommodating; from the waiters, to the cooks, to the people managing the event. I was so impressed by how thoughtful and "on it" the waiters and waitresses were. They keep the guest so happy and satisfied! They were constantly coming around and checking up on everyone and working so hard. The girl managing the night introduced her self and would come to check with me to make sure everything was going good. If all that wasnt enough to make this a great night... the food the chiefs prepared was beyond words, I couldnt believe how delicious and gorgeous everything was! Some of the best food Ive ever had and Ive eaten at a lot of fancy restaurants! Everyone I talked to said the food was amazing and couldnt stop talking about it! Then to top of a perfect evening and when I thought it couldnt get any better... the cake that was brought out was more then I could have even imagined! It was so memorable and absolutely perfect. It blew my wife away on how beautiful it was! I was absolutely stunned by the presentation of it; the prettiest birthday cake Ive ever seen! We couldnt stop talking about it and taking pictures of it... was hard to give it up to be cut in too! Not only did it look amazing but it was the best tasting cake Ive ever had! It was a prefect end to a perfect night... I had to step away and thank the person who made it! The whole night definitely exceeding my expectations in every way! I cant begin to tell you what an amazing staff this restaurant has. Diane is the best party planner and she made everything go so smooth. Every last detail was amazing! By far one of the best venues Ive ever been too! Thank you for one of the best and most memorable nights of our lives! Sincerely, Luke

My wife and I chose coohills for our wedding reception because of the food reviews on Google, and we were thrilled with the entire evening. We live in Tucson and picked Denver as our wedding location because it would be mutually inconvenient for all of our friends in family coming in from the four corners of the U.S. We never set foot in the restaurant until the day of the wedding (which, yes, is crazy), but the staff, specifically Katie and Hank, took such great care of us. The food was perfect, and our guests were ecstatic. Two in our party were vegan, and they were delighted with the prep and care that went into their food. All the main courses were delicious. And the Baumaniere Potatoes...oof...dont forget to order those. The bread pudding was the desert of choice for our crowd. Another note: we also chose the bridge just outside the restaurant as the location for our ceremony. The restaurant made the arrangements and we were fortunate enough to have an overcast, but not rainy, afternoon wedding. Although, if you do use the bridge, keep in mind there are birds up on top of the bridge that can leave some nasty spots. No guests were soiled, but one of our chairs received some not-so-nice treatment. All in all, our experience here was perfect. Google only allows 5 stars, but, like Spinal Taps amp, this really is an "11".

Bad Customer Service: Made a reservation to celebrate a friends Bday and asked whether I could bring in a cake from another health regulated establishment. They declined when asked the first time due to health regulations, when asked a second time to a different employee, they said it would be allowed with two agreed stipulations. I would pay a service fee to bring in the cake, and pay additionally $3 for cutting and serving each person the slice of cake. This was a shock to me, as if spending money at their establishment for a party did not suffice to be offered good customer service. Upon our arrival to the restaurant for the Bday celebration, we were offered to be seated outside for our reservation, to allow space for a bigger party taking place inside. We were extremely upset for the lack of customer service in addition their menu items did not seem too appetizing & overpriced, so we decided to leave to our back-up reservation.

I came in recently for an impromptu date night with my significant other. The sun was setting and Coohills patio was so inviting at this time of day. We started with a glass of Prosecco before we delved into the delicious menu. We were guided along by our server who described each dish which was incredibly helpful. We ended up ordering an AMAZING charcuterie platter which included sausages that our server told us were made in house along with pickled vegetables and other delicious staples. After this we ordered the crab cake which was to die for, large lumps of crab with barely any filler with a beautiful presentation. We finished up with a bread pudding which was the perfect end to a perfect evening. Id recommend this place to anyone in LoDo, looking for a great patio spot and great food!

I have visited Coohills a few times before. They were out of the menu item that I was interested in on a particular visit, which is fine, would have been nice to be told upon meeting the server so you dont get your hopes up for something they cant deliver. I wanted to share an experience with the owner Diane Coohill, which was actually positive and a few weeks ago tried connecting online but was denied. As a business owner, you never know who is who and it is always good to make connections. She clearly defines herself online, yet doesnt reciprocate connecting with someone. For all she knows, I could be interested in corporate events..... No way that is happening now. When you try growing a business, try to GROW it, not shrink it.

Attended the Tuesday happy hour last night. Great atmosphere, great patio over priced and under poured appetizers and wine. Ordered the $18 Artisanal Cheeses to share with my friend. Came with 3 pieces of the toasted bread. Three small slices of cheese a small wedge of cheese and a small ramekin of nut salad. After 3 glasses of wine I would venture to say I really had a glass and a half all combined if poured at any other fine .restaurant. While the quality of the cheese was good I was disappointed in the amount for the price. Continually had to seek out the server for service. When you pay the prices asked on the menu the quantity should match as well as the service.

My daughter was married at Coohills in June 2015. I cant say enough good things about the food, staff and facility. Not only did my husband and I think the food was amazing, so did our guests. The staff and owners were very attentive to all our needs. We served 125 guests appetizers, salads, salmon and other various dishes. All of the food was hot and delicious. The salmon and melon prosciutto salad was one of my personal favorites. Thank you all for a job well done. You made my job as the host very easy and my daughter and her new husband thrilled to celebrate their wedding day with all their family and friends. Keep up the good work. LVC
