If you havent been to the Goat & Compass, then you are missing out. This is a great, local spot for live music and tasty beverages (that wont break the bank.) Theres a courtyard out back with cornhole and picnic tables and something going on most every night including Open Mic Night on Tuesdays. If youre looking for a local spot away from the usual downtown scene, then this is where you want to be. :)

This a locals bar. Be prepared to silence the room when you walk in if you havent been before. Dog friendly GREAT music best staff in the ILM. Its not for amateurs, come to have a good time but leave whatever is ailing you at the door or thats where youll find yourself.
