Went to DEKS with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. I am a regular, so I know the place and Dean and Kevin, and the rest of the staff, Dina, Alana, Tony and now Bobbi. Bobbi, our server was pleasant and attentive. It was busy night and she kept things moving, we ordered our Beer, Houblon Chouffe, to go with our appetizers of Baked Clams, Coconut Shrimp and a Large Bowl of French Onion Soup. All were excellent and the soup especially so, not over salted like so many others I have tried. Then Dean came over to our table and told us of the Special, a de-boned half Long Island Duck with a triple cherry reduction and sauteed vegetables. I am wary of ordering duck but I trust Kevin, and I was not disappointed, The Duck was excellent, the veggies crisp and tender and the potatoes balls were delicious. We shared the meal and another bottle, Sly Fox Ichor, another excellent choice. and left full and happy. A great night my hats off to Dean and Kevin and the crew!

Food was really good. Beer selection was massive. Service was horrendous. Honestly the worst waitress ever. She was pleasant and friendly but only 2 tables of 4 at the time, ours being one of those 2, and she honestly came back to our table FOUR different times to go over the order with us. An hour after sitting down we got our food. Miraculously it was correct. The other table werent as lucky. Same thing, 4 times back and forth, finally got the food over an hour after sitting down, but the order was not right. I feel badly posting this because the place seems like a great place to hang out at the bar, good food and incredibly huge selection of beers. Bottled and tap. But Ive honestly never had worse service. I would try it again if I were in the area but would ask for a different server if the same one was there.

Attended their Double Happy Hour last Saturday, with live entertainment. Brought 4 guests with me and everyone had a great time. The place was busy, so we didnt expect our food to be served as quickly as it was. Two guests tried the $5 small plate specials (4 of them!) and two of us split two giant servings of mussels, one red, one in white sauce. We went out for what we thought would be a short stay and wound up staying till the band stopped just after 12:00. The back dining room is nice! The sounds from the band are not too loud so conversation can continue and the tables are spaced with plenty of elbow space. The staff was polite and the experience was one of the best weve had in Rocky Point to date!

alls i can say is if you like buffalo wings this place is NOT for you they are by far the worst wings i have ever had i asked for them to be well done and crispy and i got them fatty, slimy and a soggy mess i dont know how the owner can have the balls to even charge for a slop mess like that i will never go there again and i will spread the word oh ya and they wont make u regular buffalo wings like i had asked they use a special sauce thats bbq and hot sauce and they dump a whole bottle on the wings to the point where there so soggy i just ordered take out for the first time and i will upload a picture so every one could see how gross this place is

Great huge beer selection and the food is surprisingly good. From the outside you would not expect the caliber of the food to be what it is. Its not Michelin rating good, but far far better than any preconceived notions from driving by it. The brothers that own and run it are good people. Ive had more than one conversation with them. Both have an interest in gardening and spicy peppers. Ive brought some of my own super hot in to share and we all had a couple of laughs. Definitely visit the place, plus.....they have one of the very best IPAs there is. ;)

I do not reccomend their chicken wings. Floating in bbq sauce. Yes, bbq sauce. Im from the south and love bbq but not on wings. Didnt even offer the extremely popular Buffalo Wings. The wings were a soggy floating mess. My wife ordered the flounder and what she got was what looked like five filets of Gold fish. This is not how flounder is served. If it was flounder. My wife wasnt convinced. Another restaurant marked off of our list!

A feeling of home when you walk through the door and that smell of your favorite restaurant as a child, I was surprised by my dinner at DEKS. The interior needs some updating, and the wait time was a little long but the wait was worth it. Lobster tempura for a starter is a must. A sweet and spicy Thai sauce that accompanies it will make you order a second. I had fresh fluke which was perfectly fine with butter and lemon.

Ok this is the dirtiest place known to man. Swear to god Ive seen roaches on the bar. I use to deliver food here and if you seen what I saw you would not think of eating there...even the "Veg-uh-tobbles". They do have a very nice beer selection but it isnt cheap. If you dont mind filth have a beer there but do yourself favor and dont eat ANYTHING!

Obviously there are other people who have reasons for giving this great place badp reviews. I did hear that the owners can be difficult to work for. The building is very, very old and has an old world charm. The beer selection is outstanding, and the food is really good. It is very hard to find a place to compete with DEKS.

I was surprised to find a nice place with a friendly staff ready to serve you after 10 pm. I asked the owner, when does the kitchen close? He said, if we are open and your hungry we can feed you. The food is reasonably price and good too. If you are a beer connoisseur, you will love this place!

Awesome beer selection and "homey" atmosphere. The food was great and perfectly complimented the beer selection. Dont go here if youre looking for a super fancy date night, but do go if you want a comfortable atmosphere, good food, good drinks, and very friendly staff.

First time here. Great Craft beer selection without being overwhelming. Freshly made French Onion with a passable bar menu. Friendly patrons that made a stranger feel welcome. New bartender Stacey equally welcoming!

Extremely disappointed with service. Took over an hour and a half to get our drinks and still waiting for food. If it wasnt for the awesome band I wouldnt have come here. I will never go back again.

I go there a lot. It is one of Long islands oldest places. It has a strong local following. It has very good bands there. It is like Rocky Points cheers. Good food, good bartenders.

Older crowd. $8.50 for a standard cocktail in a pint with only a 3 count (3/4) oz of liquor. Price does NOT match the pours. Cool old decor and wood detail. Lots of beer.
