Not sure how this place has a 4 star rating on Google. I saw a roach outside the door which was close enough to gross me out. However, I was with 3 others who were pretty hangry and didnt want something pedestrian like Subways. We should have saved our money and gone to Suways. We ordered the calamari to start. It was obviously frozen (perfect rings and no tentacles to be seen) or if it was at one point fresh, poorly cooked. It was like chewing leather and the breading had no flavor. It DID NOT COME TOSSED IN SMOKY CHIPOTLE GLAZE as advertised and was instead served with a side of generic marinara sauce. Pastas were all pretty bland, the only one of the three we ordered and was maybe 2 stars was the Rigatoni Pollo Ceci. The cream tomato sauce was a little salty but at least had flavor and the chicken was not dry. The Orecchiette Della Casa had absolutely no flavor at all, it was like eating plain pasta with blanched broccoli with some store-bought sausage that had been cut up into coins. After the disappointing calamari, I refused to eat the seafood in the Risotto Pescatore. Im sure it was also frozen and overcooked. The rice was swimming in the sauce and it wasnt until the end of the meal that it had absorbed most of the liquid. None of us finished any of the dishes.

I sometimes order lunch from here for pick up, and the food has always been tasty. We decided at around 7pm on Saturday night that we wanted Italian for dinner; this was the only place (above 4 stars) with available reservations with in the hour. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess. Extensive menu and great wine choices. Again the food was very delicious. We ordered the creme Brûlée for desert which was a bit disappointing. The service was okay (nothing noticeably spectacular though nothing negative). Food came out in a timely manner, and given complimentary bread as we waited. A good choice if in the midtown area. Can accommodate small-medium sized groups from what Ive seen.

BAD SERVICE!!! I had Pollo Alla Ceci and it was tasteless and over priced. The pizza we had was no better than a cheap frozen pizza. And the worst thing of all was the service. I was in a large party of 14. When we asked to split the check because its 2016 and not everyone has cash our waitress was down right irate and rude with us. She said among other things: "I dont remember what everyone had. Maybe if you were thinking and said something at the beginning of the meal it would be easier." Maybe she was right but its a service business. Be nice and make it work. I will NOT BE BACK. Id go some place else if I were you.

Went here a few nights ago for a family birthday celebration. Although the venue is not massive they do a great job of accommodating large parties. I found the food to be quite decent (especially considering that I am quite critical of improperly prepared Italian food). I had Pasta al Forno which was delicately prepared and served piping hot. I sampled Eggplant Parmigiano, Roast Chicken and a few desserts, all of which were good. As was the house Chianti wine. The servings were larger than anticipated and the house staff paid a great deal of attention to the guests in our party. It was a very pleasant evening.

This place is pretty good. It gets the job done when trying to go to the theater. The fried mozzarella seemed too bready to me. Husband got the lobster raviolis, no complaints. I got the chicken wrapped in prosciutto with cheese and linguine with it in its own sauce. It was good. Got the tiramisu for dessert, excellent. Dont really like the last 2 some table on the left side of the wall before the restaurant opens up. Feels like you are sticking out in the middle of the restaurant and everyone is bumping into you. Bus boys, water guys, waitress, all very attentive. Great service.

Went on a date to this place, because of the good reviews on citysearch. The Calamari was so chewy I thought they gave me gum. So was the entire sea food plate my girl got. My pasta with broccoli rabe was mostly broccoli and very little pasta, and the garlic was sliced larger than my thumb. Overall the food was mediocre at best. The service was attentive, and the waiter did remove the calamari from the bill, but I wasn’t there to have the calamari removed, I was there to enjoy it! =(

Service was good and fast. Not too many people on that Monday evening though. The main dishes were very good, I really liked their involtini di pollo. The creme brulee however seemed like it tastes like fish... Something wrong with it. Athough not being local, adding the tip into the bill seems not the right approach to give a good impression . even tourists know that it should be added, dont they?

Went for lunch. 2 courses for $12.95 in Midtown? Oh yeah! Marcello, the owner, and all of his staff are such sweethearts. The house salad was outstanding! Would have been perfect if I could have sopped up some dressing with bread, but alas I am gluten-free. Speaking of which, Marcello jumped on the opportunity to accommodate my dietary needs *within* the lunch special. Definitely will be back.

Came here on a whim to catch up with an old friend. There was no wait to be seated and the waitress came right away to give suggestions on cocktails. Loved the exposed brick on the walls. Looks like a good place to bring a family as they were very accommodating to a large party while we were there. Ordered the lobster ravioli, so good!! Would definitely come back!

Me and my two girls are gluten free while my husband is not. We found Cecis on our gluten free search and absolutely loved it! Best gf ravioli weve ever had. Husband agreed it was amazing Italian. Months later when we came through NY and had an 8 hour layover we came here just to eat lunch. Great memories. Thank you for the delicious gluten free options!!!
