Jai mis plusieurs jours à poster cet avis.

I have been to Blue Hill twice and both times I walked away feeling like I had just had the meal of a lifetime! Not only is the service here impeccable, the menu to die for and their food presentation on point, but its a great place to go to for a romantic date, a group dinner with friends who have a finer palette than your typical happy hour crowd and also a phenomenal restaurant to go to when the rents are in town. I suggest opting for one of their stylized multi-course meals, which is truly worth the investment. Their sommelier was knowledgeable and found us fantastic wine selections to go with our meals! It was truly a fine dining experience and their wonderful take on farm to table is a breath of fresh air for a culinary foodie like myself! I look forward to returning!

When I asked the waiter how the "Pig" on the menu was prepared, I was told that it was cooked 3 ways, tenderloin sous vide, braised cheeks and broiled belly. What I received was a large uninteresting pork chop which I would NEVER have ordered. The beans that came with were undercooked thus chalky with an unpleasant tasting sauce. Another diner had the lamb that was unbelievably tough and did not seem to have been seasoned. Our first courses were totally unremarkable. My dessert was presented with a different ice cream than was promised on the menu. I did like the bread and ambience of the restaurant, but when the waiter grabbed the credit card slip right from my husbands hand I was appalled by such crass service. Way over-rated in my opinion.

Absolutely spectacular farm-to-table food, with an emphasis on simplicity augmented by unexpected flavor combinations and inventive applications of umami. Presentation is solid, but this restaurant earns its stripes through execution of a singular vision from the ground up (quite literally). The wine list is actually quite reasonably priced, and diverse. Service is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate. Asking the right question about what you are eating can lead to a delightful learning experience. This is the perfect spot for a well-heeled foodie or agricultural aficionado. The "Farmers Feast" is a two-hour gastronomical magic show, which can be extended from 6 to 8 courses for an additional fee -- highly recommended.

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Food: Excellent! Blue Hill redefines farm-to-table. They source their ingredients from a farm (Stone Barn Farms, MA) and bring it back to NY. I recommend the Striped Bass or the Pastured Chicken. But, the Tasting Menu is really the better way to go. Drinks: Excellent. Great wine list! Space: Beautiful minimalist, yet elegant and modern dining setting. The dining room is romantic, intimate, and upscale. Great place to bring a date or impress your significant other. Great for date night or get togethers. Scene: Romantic. Date night. Upscale. Service: Excellent! Very courteous & professional.

Went here with my boyfriend for our anniversary. We booked several weeks in advance but werent able to get a reservation before 9 PM on a Tuesday. We showed up on time/early in the hopes we could be seated, but it was an additional 45 minutes before we were (I got very hangry!). Once seated we were apologized to by probably every person in the restaurant, our drinks were comped, and i was handed a handwritten congratulatory card by one of our servers. Food was amazing/numerous/daring but all small. I especially loved the homemade bread and the fresh turnips. Really excellent service and LOTS of different plates and bonus courses if you get the full prix fixe!

I was not sure of this place at first, but after reading then reviews, I decided to give it a shot. My wife was a big fan of it because she had been there before. I had to try it and I must say, I was not disappointed at all. The food was seasoned so well. I am not used to great food like this. I was amazed at how well the food was cooked and the service was perfect on top of that. We had some veggie appetizers that were so good. The best part about the food was the sauces. They were all made to perfection. This was the perfect New York City dining experience. We had a really great time. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is in NYC.

I loved this place so much! I did not think the service was the best, when one of the dips was running out, the waitress came to us with additional dip since she noticed the issue. She also checked on us a few times to make sure that we are satisfied or to see if would like any refill. It was done very nicely without damaging the experience Every meal came with an elaborate explanation of the dish itself and how to eat it. Five star lunchin the middle of back pack row. Hard to believe that this place exists where it is, but it works, wonderful food, very large selection of food and wine

If you want to know how to fall in love with nutrition this is the place to do it. Dan Barber is more than an amazing chef he is a radical thinker. Its impossible to overemphasize the importance of good farming for safe and nutritious food. He is a champion of this argument and wants to oversee the quality and sustainability of every ingredient he uses all the way down to the bathroom soaps. Everything his restaurants serve are as fresh and nutritious as possible. I am always amazed at the difference in taste that his vegetables have versus the ones I buy at the farmers market.

In an effort to keep it pithy and get to the good stuff: mediocre food, great musicians, weird slash idiotic ticketing system, and the worst seating arrangements this side of RyanAir or a cattle car. Honestly, if this our future of listening to live music in an age of ever increasing rents, then I want no part of it. With my face packed into a French tourists armpit, I hardly could enjoy, well anything. The $45 a person listening charge on face seemed reasonable, when I learned it would be the equivalent of taking the 456 to work every morning, well no thank you. Never again.

The taste! The taste is simply sublime! It is incredible how innovative they are with the art of culinary. They take dinning to a whole new level. I appreciate the fact that they put them main focus on food rather than fancy decorations and other visual effects to increase your appetite and other superficial technics to make a good first impression on you. When the food is placed on your table, the smell, the taste and the presentation of the food itself will simply blow your mind. Thank you for the unforgettable experience.
