This place is very over rated. Which is surprising as ocean city is a dry town, and the only way I can see this being rated so high is if everyone who ate there was drunk. The only way I could rate this higher is if I was drunk and someone kept telling me to eat it and convinced me I was enjoying it. I ordered the hula pulled pork sandwich. It has a "special hula sauce". It made McDonalds special sauce seem like a 5 star culinary dream, and Im pretty sure its just Russian dressing on a burger. The sauce was so gross, and was described as a sweet and spicy sauce. However, they should just tell you it is Sriracha and pineapple they found on the street. My sister assured me it would taste better if I just ate it with the bread it came on. This was nearly and impossible task as the bread was basically wet paper as soon as they handed it to me. After scooping it up with both hands , and covering them in the juice of the soggy bread, I took one bite and impulsively just yelled, "Nope! Tastes like ass!", like a person who hasnt been diagnosed for Tourette Syndrome yet. Worst of all it is cash only, because everyone carries cash. In a day an age where you can use your god damn phone to pay for virtually everything, they want you to use cash or get it out of the atm in the building and pay a ridiculous surcharge, because they cant afford to pay the nominal credit card processing fee. Keep in mind you can get like 6 spicy shrimps with someach rice they scooped out with an ice cream scooper for $16 plus tax. I decided to leave the sandwich and go get over rated pizza from Mack and Manco. The workers at Mack and Manco are miserable, but at least I can stomach the food.

Service was okay. Waitress was friendly. Food was ok too. Nothing to brag about and pretty bland. Our table was sticky. There was a dead fly plastered to one of the pictures. Whoever painted the wainscoting didnt tape it first...pretty sloppy. My crab cake was pretty small and, like I said, bland. I did enjoy the Huli Fries. They were good. All in all, I probably wont go back. With a little more attention to detail, though, I think this place could be good.

The Hula Grill is one of my wife and daughters favorite restaurants. I like the food there and love the sticky rice and salad but they keep jacking up the prices. If this place had a view of the water or beach instead of the parking lot of a condominium and the go kart track next door and decided to lower their prices a bit I would make it a 5 star place but cant justify that rating with above average food that is pricey for what you get.

Tasty, unique, and quick. We had a great experience at the Hula Grill. My wife and I both got Huli chicken, which was amazing. I would highly recommend. Most of the dishes come with sticky rice(deliciou) and salad. The food is very good and actually seems to fairly healthy. The only potential drawback is the lack of indoor seating. There is a fairly large deck for outside seating.

They served a plate full of food to my table for $12 that included pulled pork, sticky rice, and a salad. The sauce on the pork was tangy, sweet, and a little spicy and the dressing on the salad was sweet and light. My only complaint is that I ate too much because I couldnt stop myself from tasting the delicious flavors. Found my new boardwalk dinner place, thanks Hula Restaurant!

Not authentic at all... the fire cracker shrimp was pretty good but to call yourself a Hawaiian establishment you have to serve the dishes that people eat in a daily basis in their area. Musubi should be added to the menus and Im sure the business would be booming just from that. Service wasnt all that either. Also a bit pricey for what come with your meal...

Cant believe we havent been here in our past 8 trips to OC. Staff were awesome, food was fast and delicious. Signature chicken dish was fantastic. Had a burger too, which was good, but not as good as the rest of our meals (9 of us), but I just wanted a burger too (was my 2nd entree). Great place for a quick bite, especially with kids.

we have been coming here for 10 years and the food never gets boring. The owner has pride in his food. this is a place that should be on Diners Drive ins and Dives but selfishly I hope it never is because I dont want it to be ruined its amazing. the ahi plate must be tried, the soups are amazing. his salad dressing is unique.

Very friendly staff. Not long wait after food was ordered though there was a 10 minute ordering wait line due to their popularity. Had the Hula combo which was delicious! Grilled Mahi, 1 crab cake, 4 coconut shrimp, salad and 3 sauces was out of this world for $20.

The food was not very good! My wife ordered the crab cakes which were cold inside when brought out! Must have been frozen and they did not cook long enough! After ordering inside had to go outside and scout a table to eat on. Mass confusion!!

The Hula Chicken is to die for. Perfectly portioned chicken with a side of sticky rice and a salad all for $12.00? Cant beat it on the boardwalk. The salmon is also fantastic, overall a reasonably priced place with stellar food.

Healthy, fast, friendly and delicious... Hula is our favorite place on the boardwalk for lunch!! Also, we always buy a few bottles of Hula sauce for home before they close for the season.

Awesome plate lunch. Not too pricey for the boardwalk. Huge portions. Food came out quick and staff was friendly. Beware the seagulls if you sit outside! Cash only.

Best...chicken...ever. Chef David definitely knows his stuff. Get the Hawaiian chicken; sticky rice, bbq chicken and side of greens. You wont be disappointed.

5 stars for the food! Fast service too! Id say the only con is that this place is cash only. They do have an atm but then you have the service fees.

Great, full crab cakes. Sticky rice and salad with plate entrees, and pineapple salsa! $16 is not easily matched on the boards for this quality.

I absolutely loved the teriyaki salmon, and get it every time and am never disappointed. After 8 the crowds die down and sitting outside is nice.
