Very disappointed in the size, very small compared to Sams club in Freehold and they do not sell liquor. They do have a deli which is a plus, but because of all the customer standing around waiting to be serviced I did not have time to look at their prices since I would have been adding to the log jam of people trying to get by. Being a smaller building with isles being more condensed, there will probably be people in your way just like at a smaller supermarket at every other turn and down popular isles. I dont remember having that much of a problem in the bigger clubs as I had here. Granted they just opened, but there were no more customers that a good day somewhere else has. There are only 5 tables in the food court so expect to take it to go if you wanted to grab something quick to eat after you are done shopping. It just seemed like you are on top of everything from the moment you walk through the front door until you finally got outside when you leave. With all the land there you would of thought it would have been planned out a lot better and a little more elbow room given attention too. The prices didnt seem to be better than Sams Club but since I have a membership for both for the next 11 months I will compare them and see where I renew at the end of the year. The one thing that BJs has right now is the fact that it is about 12 minutes closer. You have to enter the tire sale/service area from a separate entrance. I wanted to check their prices because I need to replace my truck tires soon, but once I found out I had to leave the store and go back to my truck, load my groceries, drive back to the other end of the building from where I parked, I new it wasnt going to happen today. The layout of the gas pumps is horrible with only 1 pump per island. With most cars on the road using the drivers side pumps, the passenger side pumps are usually always empty and because it is one way in, you cannot enter from the opposite side, you have no choice but to wait. Being that they are the cheapest around for gas ($1.85 cash or credit), the wait could get long. I first joined BJs 25 years ago and have since been a member at Costcos and Sams Club and I also belong to Restaurant Depot (my favorite) so I have seen what they each have to offer. But since this was my first time back in a BJs in 15 years is was very disappointing from my first step in to the building where I could easily see all 4 walls. Personally I like bigger stores where I do not feel crowded and with all the extra room next to BJs, hopefully they will one day expand on what they just opened up yesterday. Overall for me right now, the gas station, even with its own problems, is the best part of BJs in Howell.

So small for wholesale club, the gas station only have one pump at a time, with all the space they have, dont make sense. Food court has nothing but some dry pizza and expensive compare to Costco, and I hate the most is have to CUT COUPON, attitude if you dont use self check out, no management skill there. Need to hire people move a little faster in gas station. They should not have in house coupon system, so outdated, grocery store dont even cut coupon anymore. Price is almost the sane as Costco, they are smaller size package than Costco, dont let their price fools you. Improve the foodcourt menu, hire new manager, get rid of the coupon book, just put the sales item in to computer system, make a convenient to shop, this is a paid club membership, why would I need to cut instore coupon.

been a member here since it opened. It is NOT a Costco. Underwhelmed and pretty surprised at the lack of people shopping here whenever I go. Doesnt seem like it could survive. The food area is so unappetizing that I cant actually believe people would eat that stuff. This is a business that can stand a few upgrades and changes. First off, the produce section is ridiculously over-priced compared to a supermarket. The food area needs a complete overhaul. The pizza looks terrible and they can easily improve this with a new menu, and maybe sell some coffee??? Their gas is the best thing they have going for them. Everything else they sell, is just OK. I cancelled Costco for this, but if it was closer to Jackson, Ibe rejoin.

So me and my friends went into bjs one night to buy gluten free breaded chicken and pizza bagels and got sidetracked, by starting to play hide and go seek. This aggressive manager finds us and says get out from the hiding spot and we said sorry, proceeding to get our food. Then as we argue whether to get pepperoni or cheese, he comes up to us and says "you guys have to get out." We look at each other like tf and then left cause we werent trying to start any problems. That is why I now shop at Costco.

Deli counter has best prices around. The checkout area is not staffed well, but they have self checkout. They have the best prices around on fresh chicken, pork, beef. Gas prices are usually best around, although they usually dont staff it properly and the wait is not great. If you are a Costco shopper, BJs carries brand name products that you would find in the grocery stores. Also carries their store brand. Their produce is same quality as a grocery store, cheaper.

This store is supposed to open in two days, on January 10, 2015. Consequently, its completely finished, but not yet opened. That means that, at the moment, it is perhaps the tidiest and most orderly store you ever saw, at least from the outside. It looks like everything is brand new - even the pavement in the parking lot isnt scuffed yet. LOL! Get there quick, before it starts to go downhill!

So how do you rate one BJs different from another? All have the same policies and take the same coupons. Easy: cost first. This one is has better prices than some others, such as the one in Hamilton. Secondly, the staff here, particularly in the customer service area, are super helpful. Ive never had an issue with returns or exchanges and theyve been terribly accommodating.

Went to BJs to order new tires for my sedan. This was my first time going there for auto related stuff. Louis Fis was AMAZING. He went above and beyond to make sure my car was taken care of. He ordered me the best tires at an awesome price. He is the epitome of customer service. A+++ experience. Highly recommend!

Store manager is usually there and very helpful. I purchased a shirt and it needed a supervisor. The supervisor came to scan and proceeded to place my $25 shirt in chicken goo. I think there should be a better way. She told me to go to another line next time.

Similar prices to sams and costco. I like bjs the best because they seem to have more organic items. The deli prices are so reasonable that joining the club will pay for itself.
