My friend and I have been coming here for seven years. The food is excellent - my favorite. We dont think twice about eating large - ordering multiple appetizers or multiple entrees and sharing them. The food is, as I stated, is excellent for the area. The wait staff can either be helpful or annoying, depending on who you get. Most of the time it is good. One time we came in and as soon as we were seated our waitress took out her pen and pad and asked what we wanted to order - as if we knew. A majority of the time though the wait staff is good. The decor could use an updating - it tries to evoke elegance but comes off as tacky. Its very out of place for a Chinese/Japanese restaurant. The music is also out of place - string instrumental versions of Broadway show tunes and love songs. If there is any major recommendation I would make it would be to overhaul the interior design and musical selection.

Do not eat here. Although the food is very good, the owner is rude and hung up on us three times when questioned about an order they messed up. My company has ordered from them several times and weve always been given a hard time through the order process but the orders have come out correct and tasty. This time however, they combined 2 orders of sushi rolls and one was for a person who is highly allergic to seafood so it could not touch the other rolls. It was explained that these were 2 different orders and when we called to ask for one of the orders to be done again, the owner refused and hung up. Even when threatened with a credit card chargeback. We will not be ordering from them again.

I placed an order including HOLE CRISPY FISH. At home discovered White Fish instead. They substituted dish without even saying anything! Neither during placing order nor at pick up! Only when I called back I was told that they did not have any more fish so they gave white fish. Needless to say that party was ruined. And nothing was offered to resolve the situation. Would they let us know at order placement - we wouldve ordered more food or went to another place. But we still would be same clients as before. Now they have one less client. Period.

this place is ridiculous there food is not the best and to deliver they try to get cash every time even though they accept credit cards. ordered from this place a few times n because i changed my address they tried to say i was a new customer. lost a customer for life and serves them well since there food is not that good anyway and half the time the chicken is not even cooked all the way through so i would check what you eat!

If you need a place to go that will get you out in a hurry, Empire Hunan is the place to go. And, no matter how many times you tell your waiter you do not want to rush, you barely get to finish soup before your entree is placed in front of you. Food is ok, although lately it seems to be going downhill. I am shopping for a new Chinese Restaurant

We have a birthday lunch there. food are great. we love every dishes. owner and staff are extremely friendly and considerate. They even get us fresh lobster from flushing. The price is very good. the space is large. i love soft shell crab, lobster, pan fried noddle and mapo tofu.

Delicious Chinese & Japanese food. We have been going for 15+ years, even when they used to be in Elmwood Park, next to ShopRite. Food is great, waiters want to please and sushi is excellent. Prices are very good, even on low side. Always packed on weeknights and weekends.

One of my favorites restaurants. It never disappoints. Best egg roll. Awesome entrees and always consistently excellent sushi. Previously had given them 5 stars. Just lost a star on my last visit. Encountered a little rudeness. Food was still awesome.

Great Chinese food... Not the delivery type youre used to. Quality Chinese and Japanese cuisine with a huge menu. Open for lunch and dinner, although closes between the two so that the staff can eat and get ready for dinner rush.

When we go out, this is our families favorite spot. The price is affordable, the food is good, nice employees, good sushi, and large portions. If you go I suggest the sesame chicken.
