I work at a coffee shop, and in no way am i baceing my review from that. but truthfully, i have been a meshuggah coffee rat since roughly 2008. way before i entered the coffee scene. that being said. meshuggah, for the most part knows what theyre doing. there food is good, and fast! giving how crowded the kitchen is. you cant beet the price for a beer, especially since you are in the Loop and the other option is to go to a bar to pay 5-8 bucks for a brew. your looking to spend around 3.75-5 for a beer at meshuggah. they have a good variety of beers such as mirror pond, boulevard, new castle, and urban chestnut. The only thing i suggest is they try to keep a fuller stock of the beers they offer. That being said, they have good coffee ( for the coffee nuts: its not burnt , nor stale) and a relaxing atmosphere.

This place has a good vibe to it. Located in St.Louiss "The Loop" district, I would describe Meshuggah as one of the "artsier" and "hippyish" coffee shops in town. The decor is quaint and purposely carries a tattered, well-worn look. The inside of the coffee shop has character with its inlaid wood flooring and wood-paneled walls. Round circular tables and interesting wall-hung art pieces add extra individuality. The service is courteous and reliable. If youre looking for a change of pace, try out Meshuggah.

Meshuggah has great coffee and teas at reasonable prices. The coffee is bold and rich. If I ever am too lazy to walk down to Meshuggah and stop at Starbucks instead, I easily end up paying about 250% more. The atmosphere is very scrappy and artsy. The service is typically very good. The owner is very kind and works hard to see that his customers are treated well. I am becoming one of the many regulars to stop by almost-daily.

Awesome coffee! Everyone is always very nice here, and the sandwiches are great. I can come here to work or just relax. Very calm atmosphere, quiet but not silent. A little slow because they only serve Americano, so dont come here if you are in a huge hurry. However, if youre looking for a local coffee shop where you can hang out, this place if perfect.

Meshuggahs is a college coffee bar through and through. Eclectic but tasteful decoration, decent food and reasonably priced coffee drinks. Everything has a slightly home-made feel, which can be very hit or miss. Overall, its a good place to study with decent food if youre in need of a bite to hold you over.

Mint monitor all day every day. Get it sweet and creamy and have a good day. If you want hot coffee get the Jacob wander bar with cream. Strong and good coffee. Breakfast sandwich is pretty decent if youre hungry. Outdoor seating available with some indoor couches and chairs available.

This café is great! Great location and great atmosphere. Lots of people come in here, do their homework (college and law school students), play chess, or read (can you imagine- reading books in this day and age?!). Its got two floors, and is a really cute place.

I was not impressed with their coffee or the service there. The place lacks atmosphere, but if you are very pretentious its the place to go. Mississippi Mud House is so much better for relaxing with good food, service and coffee! Sorry Mesuggahs
