The day before Thanksgiving (2015), I visited The Caribbean Superior Restaurant, located at 4815 Annapolis Rd, Bladensburg, MD and purchased food for my husband and me. I placed an order for three King fish, Ox Tails, and Curry Chicken platters and two large cups of Sorrel. The Kingfish smelled so good that I sat in the restaurant and ate. The delicious herbs and spices danced in my mouth with every bite of Kingfish. This Kingfish had me singing Jamaican songs in my mind. I enjoyed the dish so much that I convinced my cousin to drive the distance from VA to Bladensburg, MD that Saturday. After purchasing our meals we both were eager to reach home and eat our meals. After, one bite of the Kingfish we both agreed it tasted dry and cooked in old grease. The vegetables were bland and over cooked. We ended up tossing the food in the trash. We were angry to have wasted our money. Whoever cooked the Kingfish the Saturday after Thanksgiving needs to be FIRED. Caribbean Superior I’m alarmed that you would allow this bad cook to ruin your reputation by serving this disgusting food. UGHHHHH!!!! Get it together Caribbean Superior!!

very bad customer service, I ordered over the phone and the guy completely was cutting me off the whole time. He did not want to listen to my specific order and told me tell him when i get to the restaurant. Wait what? The whole point of ordering over the phone is to have the food ready its not for me to stand there and try telling him what i want... Oh and the food is plain nasty. the plantain is good and my husband loves the beef paty and coco bread Im from the islands and if this was back home this restaurant would have been out of business. They need to clean the place and have the health department come through unannounced to see if this place is up to code. People coming from the back like roaches smh this place is the worst.

The food was horrible! My rice literally smelled like mildew! The rice was rotting from old rice and peas, being mixed with newer rice and peas. It was sad and says alot about the cooks of this establishment and how much they respect the people that patron there! The oxtails were tough as a two day old steak! Horrible! Dont waste your money! I can accept that maybe i came on a bad day! But its a resturant you dont get to serve rotting rice and recyled proteins!

My favorite Jamaican restaurant near to me. "NEGRIL" CANT COMPARE to the excellent food here. Breakfast excellent....liver taste so good that when they ran out of liver I ask for the liver gravy with fried dumpling and plantain and it was still just as good. Escovitch fish is a standard month and its never been a disappointment and the rice and peas on point! Anything that you get you wont be disappointed it is definitely a best kept secret in the area.

I ordered brown stew snapper. I got steamed snapper with tons of sauce, carrots and onions. Rice with 10 peas and hard plantain. I also called and asked if it were made to order and it wasnt. It was only hot where they drenched the sauce on. Definitely a waste of money. Never again. I should have never gave this place another chance after I ordered and my rice and peas tasted burnt a previous time.

The service is lacking at times... ...but the food is absolutely the best West Indian food in the DC area. There may be a couple of places that have food as good, but NOBODY has food thats better! And Ive eaten at over 50 different Caribbean places in the area. This place is easily in my top 3 Caribbean Restaurants. I often go far out of my way to buy their food. BIG UP Caribbean Superior!

The food is good (IF) you come during lunchtime! If its past lunchtime DO NOT buy beef patties they will be hard from sitting under the light! I brought 2 for a late lunch and honestly my CAT wouldnt even eat it! I am not joking! I ae them anyway, well the filling part at least just to punish myself into remembering to NEVER EVER eat there after lunchtime! You Have Been Warned!

The food is garbage.... the curry is like dirty water.....nasty.... and the roti hard... like they warm it in the microwave... not fresh..... and the service is horrible..... they are not consistent in thier food i tried to give them a chance 3xs ...same result ....save yourself the time and go somewhere else....thank me later....

I heard about this restaurant from a friend and he told me to check it out. I came here on 7/14/2017 at around 4 pm. I checked out the menu to see what I could get and I chose the vegetable patty and fried plantains and all I can say is I will be back for more for real it was great. I also plan to try the other dishes as well.

True yard (Jamaican) vibe. Authentic food, take out, a few tables, but everything served in styrofoam containers. Love it because you can get boiled, yams, bananas, dumplings etc....best Jamaican spot around. Have a few options in mind, as when busy, you may have to wait till next pot ready.

Food is the best in the area. Most Jamaican / Caribbean restaurants in this area get bad reviews bc they dont care to even put curry on the food r cook properly. Caribbean superior isnt trying to fool anyone like ppl dont know what Jamaican food is supposed to taste like.
