Looking for something after leaving Mammoth Cave, Mis Amigos was a great choice, I had the lunch menu chimichanga which was great size for the lunch menu price. One of my boys tried Richards tacos with grilled steak and they were quite tasty. My wife tried the tortilla soup and enjoyed it as well. The other kids all had nachos, which were topped with queso instead of shredded cheese, which most of the kids liked except one. He just ate chips with my side of beans and was good to go! Very friendly staff and talked with the owner on our way out. Great little hometown place right on the highway! Which, by the way, google maps has it at least a mile southeast of the actual location, so keep going northwest on the highway just past the bridge and youre there.

I read the review that said "slow service", "more expensive than what we usually pay"... I say you surely have the wrong place in mind. This place is family oriented, very friendly staff and owner, excellent food, comes out fast and fresh, the best prices of any authentic Mexican food that I know of. Yes, since it is in a dry county, they dont serve alcohol, but Ive never left there hungry or broke. They will even fix carry out orders that are every bit as good as eating in. They do quite a carry out business. I just cant say enough good things about Mis Amigos Mexican Grill. I do wish their menu was available online for carry outs though. Gary S.
