This is the best breakfast shop in Anderson! They are locally owned family joint. It is located in the heart of Downtown Anderson adjacent from the public library. There is employee parking behind the building, parking out on the street, and a rock/clay parking lot reserved for The Toast parking right across the street. The service is top notch and they never rush you no matter how busy they get. The family atmosphere and treatment from the staff are beyond comparison. Better than any chain restaurant and Ive yet to find a better breakfast nook.

The Toast Cafe is a small cafe in Downtown Anderson. It is the best breakfast spot in Anderson. Ive tried Ihop, Waffle House, Nicks etc. You name it. Nothing compares to the Toast. Home cooked meals and service with a smile keeps me coming back. Love their coffee. They grind the coffee beans so you know the coffee fresh. Service is pretty good but can be slow during busier times which is expected. The food makes up for it. Its a great place to just chill out and relax knowing you are going to get a delicious hearty meal.

The biscuits & gravy gave me food poisoning & that was the only food i had ate that morning. I was up all night throwing up & i had diarrhea & hot & cold flashes plus I had to leave work early the next day... NEVER & I MEAN NEVER AGAIN will i eat there... 10 thumbs down

They messed up my order once, walked all the way back to work just to turn around and walk back. But guess what, that wont stop me from going there. The girls are all wonderful, and the food is fantastic. This diner is my only stop for breakfast in Anderson.

This place isnt bad, but the service is a little slow and it is definitely cramped quarters. Good place for american breakfast staples, though. Dont expect to eat healthy when you come here and you wont be disappointed.
