I brought a friend there the day he got out of the hospital. He was very weak and shaky. I confess, I did not see the chalkboard sign that said to wait to be seated. We sat ourselves. The waitresses were swift and excellent in getting our drinks and taking our orders. However, when it was over half an hour waiting to get our food, I asked. The manager came stomping over to berate us for seating ourselves. I tried to explain that I hadnt seen the sign, but that made no difference. I told her that my friend had just gotten out of the hospital, to which she replied, "I dont care". Apparently, she considered the late meal fit punishment for failure to see the seating sign. It was clear we were very unwelcome in her establishment, so we left. I will not ever return to that restaurant. Unless you want to walk on eggshells lest you run afoul of management there, I recommend you avoid it too.

Parkside Cafe is consistently good, which is why its become a place that I keep wanting to return to. Theres no shortage of selection on the menu. They have everything here from chicken parmesan to guacamole to paninis to pancakes. I typically get a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant with a side of either onion rings (which are great as long as you ask for them to be extra crispy) or fries. Breakfast is served all day which is great considering that they are open till 9pm. The english muffins, eggs, and pancakes are all very good, but I wasnt too big a fan of the French toast. The dessert selection here is I think one of the best and biggest in the Tampa Bay Area. To just name some of the desserts, they have brownies, cheesecake, tons of pies, bread pudding, cakes, muffins and so much more. You cant go wrong with any of the desserts - they are all excellent!

From what Ive tried so far, which is only their breakfast menu.Their biscuits are out of this world, you have to try it!!! It doesnt even need butter on the side, it tastes great without it or with butter on top. I personally like eating it with sausages. The chocolate milk shake is delicious too. Mmmm it was made just right, not too thick when you cant slurp it through the straw or too cold that you get brain freeze, nor too sweet, just perfect. Oh! If you enjoy eating corn beef hash, I definitely recommend that as well. Great atmosphere, clean, homey and friendly and prompt, service. Definitely would recommend this place to friends and family.

I happened into this restaurant quite by chance and was VERY glad I did. The food was excellent, the service was superlative (Thanks Gwen), and though I came in a bit late, the host was gracious enough to make me feel welcome. I went in hungry and was more than satisfied with the portions I received. Combine that with the reasonable prices Id rate this restaurant as a great value. All of the staff I met were friendly, courteous, and helpful. All in all this was a great dining experience. Not only will I go back, Ill bring my friends and continue to recommend this establishment to anyone and everyone. Kudos to Parkside Cafe!

I black-listed this restaurant after only one visit. Nice ambiance, cute place, but I got charged for the mussels after I told the server they were bad. I even had others at the table taste them to make sure I wasnt wrong. All the food tasted sweet, every sauce, every meat, and thats just not what Im looking for. The waiter was just ok, he was a little snooty in his answers to our questions when my girlfriend and I were placing our orders, but he was somewhat attentive afterwards even though he forgot someone in our parties drink. I wouldnt go back, and if I was invited, I think I would pass.

Went there on a chance, because I kept seeing so many cars in the parking lot. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this place. The place is warm, comfy, and the owners are extremely nice. The food is great. We had a mushroom burger and a reuben. They give you a lot of food for your money. Their coleslaw is excellent, and the soup was definitely homemade. They bring in fresh made desserts daily and have a wide variety of flavors to choose from. Our server was really friendly. I can definitely say I will be returning soon! This is going to be my new neighborhood cafe!

I recently moved from this area, but still make an appearance when not too far away. Great service, excellent food, friendly staff. The Owner is very nice and always there when we eat there. I have tried almost everything on the menu and all of it was great. The only thing I wouldnt recommend is the burgers - they tasted like they were frozen. but it isnt a burger joint so no big deal. The Monte Cristo is fantastic and very consistent. The quesadillas are amazing - some of the best I have ever had. Give this gem a shot and I guarantee you will be here often.

The food quality is good, better than your typical mom and pop greasy spoon. Unfortunately, the service is horrible. I was treated rudely by the waitress from the moment I sat down. She got my order wrong, and not only that, I was over charged by almost double what my meal should have been. No effort was made to correct the problems. She was an older woman who had no clue about customer service. The quality of the food was good, but it in no way made up for the the frustration and annoyance I experienced.

Lets start out with on our first visit our server Suzie, was awaesome. She was very attentive to our table and made some excellent choices when asked about her favorites. The service was quick at 3pm. We received our salads on ice cold salad plates, which is a huge plus for me. Then my pork chops came out and its nice that I could finally get some food around town with some seasoning. They were very tasty. We finished our meal with one of the coconut puffs and it was also very good. We will be back.

I love this place. It reminds me of the type of dinners you see in movies or TV. The staff is friendly, and even know you by name. The food is very good, and the pricing is very reasonable. I have not had a bad meal there yet. The only thing I regret is not coming to this place sooner. I passed by it many times over the years not thinking much of it. That was a mistake indeed. Please dont make the same mistake as me. Give them a try you wont be disappointed.

Food is always good. Prices are great. Pies are wonderful..... if they have salted Carmel cheesecake get it!!! The owner checks us out almost every time and offers to give our kids free lollipops for being good! Thats why its their favorite place to eat!

This is by far the best place to eat in Debary! The food is excellent, service attentive and the decor is very quaint. Make sure you ask for a table in the back, it is a hidden room and very nicely laid out. I had a chicken dish on a banana leaf which was accompanied by a Mojo sauce that was excellent. The only negative comment I have is the desert selection is a bit weak. We will definitely come back.
