Everyone goes to Primanti Brothers for their amazing pizza. I had one and although it was satisfying i gotta say, I didnt really see anything special about the slice of cheese pizza that I ordered. Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed it because it was good. But I dont get it, whats all the fuss about? Let me be clear though, I still had a great lunch. As a matter of fact, I LOVED my Primanti sandwich. I ordered the pastrami and added bacon to it, not realizing how MONSTROUS this sandwich was going to be. I only ate half, because after the slice and a cold beer it was more than enough to fill me up. They take Italian bread slice it up thick, add a pretty good amount of pastrami, throw in some bacon, and then top it off with their coleslaw and thick cut fries. What a thing of beauty. My favorite part of the experience was actually sitting out doors because the beach is probably about 100 feet away. So it was a nice breezy lunch. Pros: Excellent location right off of A1A Great sandwiches, enough to share with a partner and leave satisfied Eat outdoors to enjoy the breeze, sun and beach view Good people watching Cons: Parking is a pain, you have to get lucky to find a metered spot Its tiny so be prepared to get cozy with other patrons The selection of beer was limited but I still got a Yeungling in

For days, my boyfriend and I had been talking about having lunch on the beach. After watching the Travel Channel last night, I was excited to know that a local South Florida spot was recommended. We decided to try Primanti Bros. because it was, in fact, on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Before heading out, we looked at the online menu to get an idea of what we wanted. We decided that I was going to get the Corn Beef and Cheese and he would get the Pastrami and Cheese. To compromise further, lol, wed swap half of our sandwiches with one another. When we first walked in, I wasnt too happy. In fact, I wanted to walk out because I didnt feel welcomed by the employees. I was looking forward to a warm welcome. After placing our order, I wanted to leave. My boyfriend convinced me to stay. Halfway through our visit, a young man named Ronny asked us about our food, service, and even offered refills on our drinks. His gesture changed my perception of the restaurant and I was elated that we decided to stay. The food was terrific. It wasnt costly at all! For about $6, you basically get a sandwich with two sides!!! If youre in the Fort Lauderdale Beach area, you have got to try Primanti Bros.

Ive been reading about this place for years. So when I finally get to the east side of town, we pull into the Oakland Park Blvd Location around 5 PM. No trouble getting a table, and service was quick. We ordered the #1 Favorite (Pizza), one slice and two #2 Favorite The Pitts-Burger. Pizza was ok, good but nothing you cant find in any local pizzeria. The Pitts_Blunder was a huge disappointment. Sure its stuffed with fries and slaw, but the quality of the beef patty is somewhere between recalled and some grade of beef below chuck, and way below McDonalds. (Get the picture)? And the size of the "beef" patty gets way too lost in the rest of the sandwich. Put a freshly ground round 5-6 oz patty in the sandwich and you might have something. All three of us shared the items, My wife also got sick, but that has nothing to do with my opinion about the burger. Skip this joint and avoid the hype. or as we like to say SCRUBBED.

atmosphere: small joint. during both my trips this week, the waitresses were friendly and all over refills. its right off the beach so itd be great if you wanted to get it to go and eat while watching the waves roll in. sandwiches: theyre definitely something that youll want to try. they wont blow you away but theyre unique, tasty, and filling. if you go in a group, i would encourage you all to try a different type. pizza: in my opinion, this is why you should come to primanti brothers. its great east coast style. thin crust. greasy (in a good way). big slices. top of the line and plentiful toppings. price: best prices on the beach. if you want to spend 7 or 8 bucks and be full, this is your place. overall: we were only here for 6 days and we went there twice. definitely make primanti brothers a stop on your trip to fort lauderdale beach

Horrible, absolutely horrible service. I was there with 2 of other friends. We were "served" first and ordered cheese and black olive pizza. We didnt want to take out and were told to take a sit but there was no where to sit. Finally, we decided to sit at a dirty table which we had to clean. Took about 10 minutes until someone approached and told us the pizza will be ready shortly. After 20 minutes of waiting time we decided to get up and ask whats going on since pizzas are being served on every direction besides our table, we were told to wait just a bit longer. Meanwhile, a new couple sits right in front of us, wait 7 minutes and are served before us. We waited a total of 35 minutes for a couple of slices of pizza. We got up and left and thats definitely the last time ill ever come to that place.

So far I have only been there once. The time I spent there was perfect. Not too crowded being that it was only me. Seating was pretty available. Good food selection. I had pizza. I cant speak on the other foods, but their pizza is great. They have beer for those over 21 and for those who dont like beer, they have little wine glasses. I was frequently asked how I was doing. And when I say frequently, I mean they would ask at the right times like when my beer was low and stuff like that. Something that seems like it would be a behavior in every place of service you go, but these people made it very apparent. If youre looking for a slow pre game before going to a strip club like I am, this is a great, mellow place to get you feeling "right" before you go get wild. Try it out.

+Johnny Sotolongo: worth spaghetti and meatballs? What are you? New? Look man, do yourself a favor, go back and either get the biggest, floppiest, thinnest New York Ninja Turtles style pizza youve ever had, or go hard and get a Primatis Sandwich. Heres what you get, from the ground up: an inch-thick slice of Italian bread, your choice of meat, close slaw, tomato slice, fistful of french fries, another slice of Italian bread. Cut it in half, put some Rickys and garlic powder on it, and youre in heaven man. PROTIP: Dont order it with fries on the side like some idiot baby. Thats a baby who is also an idiot. Thats what youd be if you ordered a Primanti sandwich with its fries on the side. They wont laugh at you here like they will at the original Pittsburgh Primatis, but I will.

Ordered a pizza, fries and mozzarella sticks for pick up. Got there in less than twenty and the order was ready. I was told it was cash only and had been asked if I was told during my phone order to which I replied "no". What chain restaurant is cash only in Fort Lauderdale? Lucky for me I had just enough to pay and tip. Got back to the room and opened the pizza box and found two slices folded over themselves as if the pizzas was just thrown in the box. Statrted on he fries, cold, no salt and no flavor. Grabbed a cheese stick, undercooked, dipped in marinara that was cold. Bad food, poor customer service, and the feeling of a bad element leaves a two star rating.
