Exactly the type of place this area in South Lake Union could use. Its casual, reasonably priced and the food is really good. I went with some friends for dinner and decided to sample as much stuff as I could to get a true vibe of the place. So I tried the 3 meat BBQ platter with 2 sides. For the sides I chose the macaroni and cheese which was good and certainly ly worth ordering again. However as far gains sides go the baked beans went above aginsnd beyond what I was expecting. Probably a must for anyone who comes here. As for the meats the brisket was a winner, the ribs would also qualify as delicious, the BBQ pork was just average but certainly would be worthy of a BBQ sandwich. Overall I give this an easy 4 stars and would be leaning towards 4.5.

This is one of my favorite restaurants on South Lake Union. They have the large garage door style openings along the lake side so you get the fresh air and awesome views of the lake and park. The food selection is pretty good. I keep getting stuck buying the pulled pork sandwich because its so tasty and you can add whichever sauce you want to it from a vinegar BBQ sauce to a sweet or 2 levels of spicy. Its got a casual feel to it and large family style dining tables. Belly up, order your favorite beer or cider and kick back. Enjoy the game on several TV screens or gaze outside and watch the passers-by.

Good, clean BBQ with well cooked meats. The sauces covered a good range of flavors, but the service was a bit lackluster. I had to ask the grumpy waitress for basics such as utensils, water and napkins multiple times; it was a slow day with only two parties in the restaurant at the time. Given the quality of meat and service, if the prices were a bit lower I could rank it 5 stars. If Im in the area I will likely revisit. No reason not to.

The food here was very good, along with the service. Was quite busy when we arrived, and with open seating it was quite hard to find a table (especially since the staff had put reserved signs on the larger tables to hold them for larger groups that only MIGHT walk in). Also found that the paper on the tables, albeit handy for the staff to clean tables quickly, made it feel a bit like we were eating at a childrens restaurant.

Me and my fiancé decided to have dinner here on a Saturday night. The place wasnt too crowded and we were able to seat ourselves. We shared a BBQ plate (pork ribs/beef brisket), Mac & Cheese, and Baked Beans. Everything was delicious! Well definitely be coming back to this place. As Atlanta natives, we were both really impressed with our meal. P.S. The sweet & smokey BBQ is bomb!

Dont even bother going in for a seahawks game...this was our first time in, Attempted to watch the game. Walked into the bar about ten minutes into the game and half the tables were reserved... IN THE BAR! which should be open seating. Tried to sit on the family side and was told they were also reserved..Employee staff recommended we go somewhere else. We gladly did so.

I wanted to try something new? So I came here and I had awesome service! The bartender was really nice! BUT!! as my date and I were enjoying our drinks! We seen this cockroach!! Disgusting! We watched her just swoop it in her hand an just toss it in the garbage without even killing it like its notbgoing to crawl back out! Never going there again

Feels like an upscale BBQ joint. I love coming here just for drinks and desert. I recommend the el sancho drink the smore brownie. so yummy. you cant beat the location, walking distance in SLU and great view. I love the portebellow bergur, but like most bbq joins not a ton of veggie optionds. But lots of great sausces to choose from.

Went for Happy Hour after an afternoon of Kayaking. Drinks were relatively well priced and they had happy hour food. Only tried the truffle fries (delicious.) The atmosphere wasnt great, kind of felt like a dark suburban brunch place, but the service would good and I would go back if I was in the area.

Best for takeout, for views of Lake Union, and for online delivery. The BBQ is the best in the city, the sides are delicious and they have a bomb mac and cheese (tip - add bacon!) there is a long bar where you can relax, have a beer and enjoy views of Lake Union. Also an enormous selection of whiskeys.

One of the best burgers Ive ever had. The BBQ half pounder was bomb. I am a burger and fry kind of guy so it takes a little bit to impress me and I was for sure. I ordered out while at work and the bartender who helped me with my order was super friendly and efficient. Will be coming back for sure.

The Buffalo Chop sandwich is delicious, especially with a bit of the sweet & spicy sauce added. You have to try the Seattle Succotash as a side. Service is great, always friendly, and in the summer, its got a good breeze and nice view of the park. Bonus: they make a great Old Fashioned.

Ive been here a few times with friends. Tables are big, they can easily accommodate 6, maybe more. The food is really good and portions have a good size as well. Even if you have a slider plus a side youll probably end up full. They close at 2 am but the kitchen actually closes at 10.

We went at 4 in the afternoon so it wasnt crowded. The food is exceptionally good, I had the pulled pork sandwich which doesnt come with bbq sauce (you can add it for yourself) and it was just perfect. All the orders on our tables were good and the service is fast.

Great place, excellent food (best in the city IMHO). Their staff is nice and friendly, and we have had nothing but great experiences there. Very reasonably priced and their beer selection is great as well. If you havent tried this place yet, you are missing out.

Been here a few times and the brisket is always way too dry. Need to lather it in BBQ sauce for it to be even remotely moist and then at that point you cant even really taste the meat. Location is great at SLU but otherwise this place is forgettable.

Had it catered (thus the poor presentation in the photo) and WOW! All the meats were perfect. Marinated portabella was delicious, but the sides kept me going back for more! If you have a function and need food for everyone, choose these guys.

Food was good but possibly the worst service I have ever had. I dont normally write reviews just hoping the owners will read this and fix the problem. The place seems like it could be very cool but the service I got was horrible.

Tried to place an order over the phone twice, and the bartender said "Im really busy man...Ive got to put you on hold for a minute". Ten minutes later I ordered from down the street. $10 gift certificate is going in the trash.

Amazing place to eat. Must have the brisket!!!!! We are from Michigan and ate here 4 times while on vacation. Loved everything about Cask & Trotter. Food, atmosphere, drinks, food ( yeah, meant that twice, its that good)
