I have gone to the Tin Room many times now well I guess I didnt learn my lesson.... I went today on 7/19/16 this my last time and my breaking point. I will not go into all the details I am really keeping this brief but this is the truth and it is worst then what I am posting. We got ignored full on by the bartender said one thing "sit anywhere" well we sat by the window in full view as we sat in the bar area as people came in behind us friends of the bartender I guess...as she severed them along with the people at the bar and the staff no one asked anything we sat with nothing at all not even a single acknowledged moment we were there. I have been there many times the service is the worst!! I wont even go into a time we had a check tossed at us for sitting outside once...,If you go there get a seat at the bar or forget getting anything at all...this is the 5th time I have been treated poorly there so its not like I didnt give them a chance! I really dont post reviews but I had no choice since I cant speak to a manger there either. I am no stranger to customer service I did it for 20 years there will never be a good reason for this kind dirty customer service I have received there. Good Luck

The one star I am giving it is for the somewhat good cajian pasta. That was the ONLY thing good about this place. Because I am new to the area I was excited to the mom and pop eateries. After choosing a seat the (what I am assuming) a new employee brought us a glass of water our tall buald waiter then proceeded to yell at him for it "dont give them water unless they ask for it." Next I asked the waiter what he would suggest between two entrées which he responded both. Did I mention he didnt entroduce him self, even smile, his shirt was untucked, watched him belittle the poor new employee over and over again while we waited for our food and NOT ONCE asked us if we wanted another drink. The BIGGEST MOST DISTURBING PART was the fact he PICKED UP A DIRTY RUG, DID NOT wash his hands then served us our food. HE WAS RUDE UNPLEASANT AND I WONT BE BACK!!! Lastly we wanted to tip the ONLY employee that wanted gave us a smile and was told we couldnt because he would get fired. To the nice new employee find a better place to work because this place sucks!!!

Tin Room is a wonderful, casual neighborhood hangout in the west end of downtown Burien. The bar is front and center and they serve delicious cocktails. I had a first rate Sazerac on my last visit. The beautiful sign over the bar and all of the tin work you see are evidence of the spaces previous life - and they give you such a sense of place. But food and fun are also offered - get a wide variety of comfort food here, done well: enchiladas, meatloaf, fish & chips, shrimp scampi, cheeseburgers, salads and soups, etc Also - there are movies, magic shows and other happenings in their own little theatre. Such a gem! Burien is very lucky to have such a great, local hangout!

Awesome!! I had something delicious with chicken, corn tortillas and housemade tomatillo salsa and soft boiled eggs. Holy Scrumptious! My husband had the meatloaf sandwich. Really good. Scratch cocktails in the afternoon are never a bad deal, either! Shirley made it all such a lovely experience! She showed us the theater and told us about the other great businesses in the area- 909 coffee and the Italian gelato... all a must in little but oh so amazing old burien!

I really liked the vibe of the Tim Room and regret I cant give them more stars. The food was just okay. I ordered the tortilla soup and it tasted as if it came out of a can. My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and said it was fine but not great. I would go back for the atmosphere though. We were there on a Monday night and they had a special of half price on any bottle of wine.

The Tin Room is a wonderful place, with its great ambiance, friendly environment and superb service. I almost dont want to share this, but this is the place with the best beef sliders in the world!!! The owner sells and excellent award winning sausage (if there is not award, there should be). You can buy it when you are there, just tell the waiter(s) and they will bring it to you.

Good food, bad bad prices. Hence my three star rating. I had the cajun shrimp poorboy and some cosmos which were both great, but the prices here are that of a very nice restaurant, when this is a small neighborhood bar. Love the old tin shop motif. Service isnt that great either. Only the drinkies keep me coming here once in a while if I have some money to throw away.

Ive been to many a bar across the US and this one is my fave. Not too big, always full of friendly people and waitstaff, fresh ingredients in the drinks, and a hamburger to die for. Be sure to try the Milohound if you like grapefruity goodness. Does get very loud at times. On second thought, dont go here...youll crowd me out of my favorite bar!

Great décor, super friendly staff, delicious food, and the best well scotch around. The pours are very generous, too! The theatre next-door is a great place for a date: Its intimate, cozy, and whatever is available at the bar/restaurant is available to you to eat/drink while you watch your flick. Great place.

The Tin Room does not have a large menu but what it makes is delicious. Add that to the friendly atmosphere and the great service makes this place a treat. In a part of Old Burien, try eating in the out back patio when the summer weather hits with a glass of Pinot Grigio – an unbeatable combination.

Im always biased towards places with a cheap happy hour menus and this place has that. Love the sliders, chicken wings, and the bacon wrapped jalapeño stuffed with cheese. The well drinks are full of ice though, not worth the $4.75 happy hour price, IMO.

Small place. Food is just OK. One at our table ordered the chicken wings but couldnt eat them. They didnt smell right. Like they had gone bad. The place has a good reputation and maybe it was just an off day but well likely not return.

A great neighborhood bar/restaurant/theater combo run by a local resident. The restaurant gets a bit noisy when busy. The theater has interesting newish movies and the cost is only $1 on Monday night but it sells out fast.

One of my favorite places in Burien. They have a theater in the restaurant and run movies, Seahawks games and special request. We even watched Saturday night live there. The food is amazing and service is great.

Prices fine, neat interior, cozy and group spaces. But. God forbid you are there as one person, you will be either totally ignored or virtually so. When I was addressed, while friendly, it was an afterthought.

I agree with other people. This place has gone downhill. Too expensive now and portions are small. Bring back the small plates 12 to 14$ and better happy hour. Beer on draft should never be more then $5.
