I am only reviewing brisket. This place may serve other proteins that are fantastic. My low rating is only for the brisket. No sides. No sauce. Their brisket looks the part. Appears to be high quality. Beautiful bark. Fat is rendered reasonably well, but the flavor is not there.... Not even close. Have ordered multiple times from the point. Im so excited everytime I see them slice it and then extremely disappointed when I take a bite. I thought it was just me , but I took others who have tried brisket across the state and they agreed theres no flavor. At around $20 a lb , they are priced to compete with Franklins, Blacks, Snows, etc. If you come in with those expectations, youll be severely disappointed. If you must eat brisket at MUA, get there early and grab a breakfast taco... pretty good rendition. If you must eat BBQ in Grapevine, go to nearby Bartleys and ask them to slice some brisket from the point. Its not amazing, but it has more flavor and is much cheaper than MUA. If you find yourself in the metroplex on a Thursday or Friday craving good brisket, go to Farmers Branch and stop by upcoming Cattleck BBQ. Their brisket is consistently on point (pun intended).

If I could give this place a ZERO, I would. I never even heard of this place until today - went there with co-workers and I get up there to order and they have ZERO vegetables to choose from. I told the guy to just get me the 1/2 LB of brisket and he said the total was $15.XX. I am not a broke individual, but I would be, if I carelessly spent it in this manner. I eat ORGANIC and Grass-Fed meats, only, 99% of the time. If this was Grass-Fed, I would have gladly paid the price. So: 1. Over Priced junk food 2. No Vegetables except onion and pickles (that doesnt count, sorry). I mean, if you wish to Pay ORGANIC Prices for Junk Food; Highly FATTY foods and you are Carb-Loading, then this place is for you. What a ridiculous rigg. NO THANKS! --> I canceled the order and just drank a bottle of BPA-Filled water. No wonder everyone is so sick - they eat at places like this! And Pay an arm and leg doing it, before marching off to the doctor and paying them for more toxic chemicals.... Life decisions, people.... Life decisions! Again, wish I could rate this dump a ZERO.

Reading some of the reviews here make me think the folks writing them are either paid or have a personal interest/agenda. Its like an advertisement. Make sure you try this and they serve Breakfast and dont forget to get this.... Anyway, like many other fine BBQ establishments in DFW area, the food is good. Service is acceptable. Is it the best in all of North Texas? Well I think that depends on the person. But to announce that it is the best is kind of ridiculous. Everyone has their own favorites. 4 Stars for the Food 3.5 Stars for Service 3 stars for value - Food is pricey when compared to quality and taste. Other fine establishments charge 20 % less for the same quality and taste experience in my opinion. Worth visiting and like I said the food and service was good its just their pricing is on the high end in comparison to other like BBQs.

I have eaten here several times and the BBQ is good. The issue i have with this place is the staff. They have a big guy bus boy that walks around with a scowel on his face and a bad attitude. The other big guy behind the cutting board is rude and acts like hes doing you a favor answering your questions. Several of the younger folks working the reqister have little or no training. Owner has the food down now he needs to get busy explaining to the staff how to handle the customers was in again today and the lady behind the counter is cracking wise and cant remember to put all of my order in my bag which i discover when i get home. Tried to call and although i know they are there they dont answer the phone. There are plenty of good BBQ places around . This one needs to understand great food wont overcome a bad staff

I am still in shock at what just happened to my family in this restaurant. I was number 6 in line and waiting to place my order when my 9 month old daughter started getting antsy. Since there is no assigned seating, she decided to get her settled into a high chair. There were plenty of tables and I was almost ready to place my order. Before ordering, I look over and an employee made my wife and child get up since I wasnt technically next in line. With plenty of empty tables and no assigned seating, I cannot believe they did this to a baby!!!! I even spoke to the owner and he didnt care at all. Obviously, I will never return and we went elsewhere to eat. This cant be legal! If any attorneys have an opinion, please contact me as I am going to file legal action against this establishment.

Great Food, Great People! Got off a flight from the East Coast and wanted some Texas BBQ. A quick search lead me here and I was not disappointed. The line to the door moved quickly, while they handed out samples. The employees were friendly and genuinely happy. The food was delicious! I never post reviews but this place is worth it. When I finished and realized that my taxi had dropped me off and I was a mile away from the hotel, I was greeted by the owner, Andy, who offered to give me a lift with a smile as he said "Texas Hospitality." Every local I spoke with at the hotel agreed that I had picked the right spot for my barbecue. Its no wonder this place is a success: Great Food, Great People!

The meat here is definitely the draw. Very good, especially the brisket. The reason for only 2 stars is that they serve the food family style. This also would not be a problem except if you ask for a plate you will get a strip of butcher paper. Trying to share food with a family group including kids using butcher paper is messy and frustrating. The folding chairs are uncomfortable and are too short for the tables. We had food leftover and to carry it home we were given paper bags-again no lids for containers, only butcher paper. So if all you want is really good meat and you dont care about this other stuff youll really like it. But for some of us its the little things that really count.

Five stars. The mecca of BBQ. Best place you can get a fatty brisket without having to drive to Austin. The turkey is fantastic as well. Do yourself a favor and visit MUA. I dig the creamy corn and the bacon jalapeno mac n cheese as sides. Best deal in the house is the meat sandwich that includes a side for $8. What a steal and man its sooo good. Texas Monthly just added them to their Top 25 BBQ in all of Texas, so they are receiving the respect this food deserves. Plan ahead and arrive early- lines are now forming just before open. Theres a complimentary valet to make the parking situation a bit more bearable.

One of the higher priced BBQ place in in DFW(20%). The brisket and smoke spud was good. The ribs was dry but ok and jalapeño cheese sausage was ok (maybe the German sausage would have been better). There was not much selection on side but they got most of the main ones covered. There no condiments bar, just whats on the table. The big guy behind the register was not friendly but everyone else was good. The table small and close to each other (small buiding). So its not a place you come to sit back and relax. Most of the people inculding myself just come in eat and leave.
