I might be a little biased at the moment because of the grand opening promo - 50% OFF ALL HOT AND COLD FOODS, however the quality of food, offerings, staff and location are top notch. Because I felt like be a fatty I ordered: - The wake up wrap $4.50, this was surprisingly good and I would even get it again at regular price lol The wrap had scrambled eggs, extra crispy bacon, melted American cheese, home fries and salsa. I could only finish half, saving room to tackle the pancakes I also greedily decided to get.... - Pancakes with fresh fruit $5.25, these were okay... a little tough, I expected them to be more airy and moist but the fruits were perfectly ripe :) at the half price I paid, I cant really complain but I probably will try other things first before ordering this again. - Large iced latte $4.95, this was a bit weak but was good. I think Ill try it again when they get things in order. Its day one and the staff is still getting used to things. Drinks were not included in promo price. In total I spent a little over $8 and I expect to take advantage of this during lunch too! :D

Much needed addition to the FIDI lunch scene. Has all the prerequisite salad bar foods, plus made to order as well. Decent amount of groceries items available as well; interesting snacks hard to find elsewhere, milk, etc. Brand new, so extremely clean and well run. Picked up a small package of eel/avocado rolls and a few dim sum (shrimp shu mai and chicken dumplings). All were fine enough - very generic but edible. Served at incorrect temperatures - the dumplings were not hot as they should be, and the sushi was far too cold. Overall ok, not my kind of place but I can see hitting it up now and then. One thing I found alarming is the rice pots were being left wide open which can lead to temperature fluctuations in the rice which potentially can cause food poisoning. They need to put labels on them that say to keep closed!

On 9/21/16 my colleagues and I went to buy smoothies (Green muscle) for breakfast. The gentlemen refused to acknowledge us and continued to talk to his co-worker while we were waiting for him to stop. Once he did, my co-worker asked him a simple question…did you understand my order and his reply was sure, somebody is working on it. Still they messed up our orders smh. Afterwards, we requested to speak to his manager and the guy brushed us off by telling us “they are around here somewhere”. Even the lady at the cash register refused to assist us. I’m angry because I understand the value of great customer service. These guys wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for “THE CUSTOMERS”. All of this over a freaking smoothie. How difficult is it to make a smoothie?

New Essen in Lower Manhattan. Everything in the hot bar was loaded with salt. There wasnt one steamed vegetable. The cold bar was just as bad. Just some plain grilled chicken and some plain vegetables would be nice. Maybe have a look at Whole Foods. The specialty bars were equally unappealing. For example, the Salad bar had no apparent low salt proteins. There might be a way to order a grilled chicken sandwich, but I dont need the bread, and I do need some unsalted, green veggies. I mean, if you like salt, you cN have it any which way at Essen on Broad Street. Enjoy.

I havent tried many things here, but what Ive ordered has been good so far. I usually get the Healthy Wrap (egg whites and turkey) for breakfast, and for lunch I either get the Santa Fe salad (I usually get the dressing on the side) or the Stir Fry (udon, chicken, zucchini, peppers). To save time for my meals I usually order with the Ritual app. The service has always been very friendly!

Generally the food is decent as well as the prices. However, most of the staff dont seem to care much. Also, half the food in their hot buffet is either not labeled at all or mislabeled. They start closing down the various food stations between 2 and 2:30 PM so if you take a later lunch it can be slim pickings.

Waited 15 min for a stir fry dish. Turns out they let someone else take my dish. Took half of my girlfriends food which was bland. Not surprising! This establishment is your typical Wall Street, overpriced, underseasoned garbage. Stay away at all costs! Get a street hot dog instead ;)

This place has a variety of food. The buffet has different food each day. Their brick oven sandwiches are delicious. Also they have salad, ramen, stir fry, burgers, sushi and much more. Good place to go if you dont know what you want.

Buena calidad de los alimentos, la fruta muy sabrosa y el pollo muy jugoso. El trato de las cajeras malísimo

Seriously the grilled skirt steak and the Strawberry Fields salad are more than enough to return Time After Time. great if youre in a rush lunch crowd is definitely large but that is just indicative of how great the food is

Decent quality of food, especially for the Financial District area. It gets very crowded during work hours. Many selections of food --- salad, sushi, hot buffet, groceries, snacks, desserts, coffee.

Only tried the expensive salad bar and hot foods buffet. Is it worth $10 per pound? Depends. Ill check out the other offerings as time goes by but so far, it hasnt knocked my socks off.

It looks different from the outside. You expect to find a variety of options but in the end you find out that they dont have many of the ingredients advertised in their preparations.

The food is very high quality and they have such a wide selection. Go here almost everyday for lunch and I never get tired of it. Try to go after lunch hours to miss the long lines

A nice spot in FiDi for grab and go lunch options. The salad I had was good but line can get long around lunch time, quick service and vibrant atmosphere

Big place with seating downstairs and a multitude of menu options. Great salad bar. A little pricy, but not crazy for the location.

Everything is pre-made, from dry noodles for ramen to pre-fried egg for bibimbap. Dont eat there, theyre just mediocre at everything.

Its probably the best cafeteria/foodhall style place in the area. The downstairs seating is a bit dark, but otherwise its perfect.

Great breakfast wraps, cool quiet seating area with the tv and music playing. Chill place to get work done or take a break.
