The food here is pretty good and has a good number of options for vegetarians unlike many other restaurants in and around this area. The ambiance and decor is good too. What does not appeal to me though, is the restaurant managers hospitality. The restaurant manager is always in a hurry to get his customers out (even when there are sufficient vacant tables available for incoming customers). On my last visit to this place when I had come along with one of my friends, like every other occasions the manager started asking if we were done with food when he could clearly see me and my friend still having our desserts. This certainly would not make any customer feel comfortable. This has happened on several occasions and not just the previous one and so the mediocre review.

Not a fan of writing reviews if a restaurant meets expectations. This is was my first time trying this place for a lunch buffet, I lived in the area for few years but never tried this place out until one of my friended recommended it. Food was fresh, pretty good selection of variety and most importantly well maintained clean restaurant. Reason I give 4 starts and not 5, front desk folks can have a smile on their face, the guy in the suit appears miserable. Lines can get long and its not well organized, in addition to all that I just dont want to review someone completely based on one experience. I am definitely going back again and I will refer anyone to this place hands down for the fresh Indian food. P.S - this is a Veggie place.

I went to this place today to celebrate my BEST FRIENDs birthday which happened to be an African American. As soon as I entered in the CHAND PLACE I got bad stares and smell like RACISM. However, we still went in and approached the manager to ask about the seats. He said to one of the waiters " That we are going to let them sit in the back separate from other ppl," the waiter replied " Yes, sure" ( in hindi ) i understood the conversation. I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT IT HAPPENED IN FRONT AND WITH ME RACIST RESTAURANT WITH EXTREME LEVEL INCLUDING MANAGER AND EMPLOYEES. I am glad i understood the language, informed the manager, and left the restaurant. VERY RACIST and BIASED RESTAURANT .......

I was visiting my family in Parsippany and we all decided to eat outside. This restaurant has Chinese, Punjabi, and South Indian dishes. But, we had buffet and the food was mouth watering. Every single dish on the buffet was cooked with perfection. The service we received from this restaurant was amazing. They treated us like as if we were their family. Every single person had a smile on their face. The plus point is that the menu is vegetarian. Other plus point is that the menu has a special section for Jain dishes. Also there are options for people who do not consume garlic and onion. From all the restaurants I been in my life this was by far the best one.

We stopped for dinner en route. The resturant is in a strip mall. All vegeterian food. Chaat and fried appetizers are very good. Rest of the menu is typical Indian resturant and taste ok. This is a pricey place. The worst experience is the mandatory 15% gratuity for 3 or more persons! I travel a lot and eat at various parts of the country. No resturant charges mandatory gratuity on 3 or more people. Thats me, my wife and 2 kids under 10!! That too for a buffet? The dinner buffet was already $17 for an adult.

A vegetarian heaven! Were blessed that there are many great Indian spots in Parsippany, but this is our favorite by far. - Their parking lot is big! Unless its a busy day, youll almost always find a parking spot. - Fresh and tasty buffet This all-vegetarian restaurant knows how to cook veggies scrumptiously. - Courteous staffs They are efficient, yet friendly. It gets busy during the lunch time. Some dishes might not be available if you get there after 1:30. Try their Hakka noodles!

I went here for an engagement party, and let me tell you that this place has a nice decore, however when it comes to food this is the worst indian restuarant that I have ever been to in my life. The chef has a heavy hand with salting every dish. Every dish was so salty that I had to drink a gallon of water to get the salty taste out of my mouth. What would have been a promising experience turned into a disaster with a bite of food. BEWARE!

I really enjoyed the lunch buffet here that we visited for a work outing. The menu is all vegetarian so dont expect the typical chicken tikka but the options are very good. I really liked the burrito like dosas they brought around too, especially stuffing them with food.from the buffet. Service was good and quick. Great lunch spot.

Hit or miss! A vegetarian only restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine. Also has some Indo-chinese options. Lunch buffet is usually good. I liked their kurkuri bhindi one time, then it was greasy on another occasion. For Indian vegetarians, this place is a decent choice for family gatherings, catering, etc.

Chand Palace is consistent in its food quality. It is ideal for a good vegetarian buffet meal and sometimes non-vegetarian (Tuesdays). The decor is great and the service friendly. It tries to cater to a variety of palates and there always will be an entree or dessert that you will end up talking about.

Amazing experience. We were pleasantly surprised by their authentic & delicious food with real Indian gourmet desserts & extremely courteous staff which is a far cry for an Indian restaurant as for the ambiance nothing like what we have seen in any NJ restaurant comparable to high end eateries in NY.

The buffet here is tough to beat Im terms of variety of dishes offered. The service is excellent. I had a lot of requests when throwing my dad a surprise party and the staff didnt say no once. Atmosphere is great but it can get a little tight during peak hours. Overall delicious food and good service.

If I for some reason had to become a vegetarian, Id eat lots of Indian food. Chand Palace makes lots of really great Indian, all vegetarian. A lot of their stuff is very spicy. The only weak point is the bread... their naan is heavy and soggy and chewy, not light and fluffy like it ought to be.

Hands down the best dedicated, all vegetarian Indian food in the area. In fact, you will be hard pressed to find better Indian cuisine in the entire east coast. It is a must try... especially for the Saturday lunch buffet. Very welcoming staff and a great attention to culinary details.

Absolutely worse experience at any restaurant hands down, we went there to celebrate a friends birthday, although we went only 45 minutes before close waiter was behaving as if he is angry because of us being there. We were rushed, Very indecent!! Totally avoid this place!!

Good vegetarian Indian cuisine. Waiters and front desk guys are not that presentable but the taste of the food covers that minus point. Food is a tidbit oily for the health conscious people but nevertheless yummy. Buffet and a la carte options are good.

Hi all, The worst experience when I had buffet dinner here. They have charged half rate buffet even for the 2 years kid and charged 1 person buffet cost for a kid of 5 years. I suggest to check the cost for the kids if you are taking buffet.
