I cant say enough amazing things about big bad breakfast except its the Best.Breakfast.EVAR!!! <-- intentionally misspelled for awesomeness. I love this place!! I have eaten there several times and am sold. It so good it transcends all tastebuds expectations. I am convinced that one of the chefs in the back is no other than GOD himself. In fact, I am sure that we know this because he has fed 5000 with ONE BISCUIT of delectable heavenliness and then turned the water into coffee that dances on your taste buds and revitalizes your senses. The bacon is AMAZING...i will type that again because I want to make sure you read it. A-MAZ-ING!!!!! Try it for yourself I cannot describe it with words. The shrimp and grits is...omg...tantalizing. It doesnt even taste like shrimps and grits. If epic-ness" could edify itself into the form of food it would taste like BBBs shrimp and grits. AND THE BURGER...the BURGER...oh wow...the burger is made out 3/4 quality local ground beef and....wait for it....BACON...Just awesome heaven sent bacon!! Try it or your dumb....

Treated badly for having a group size of 2. I went with my girlfriend to eat breakfast one sunday morning. We have eaten at big bad before and know how crowded it gets so we decided to go really early. I want to say we got there at about 8:00A.M. When we got there the restaurant was packed and the host said we needed to sign the wait list but at least we were first on the list. We signed our names to the wait list and waited outside patiently. About 15 minutes later a group of 4 people show up, walk inside and are immediately seated at an empty booth rather than being put on the wait list. My girlfriend and I waited about 35 minutes in total before we were seated at small table for 2. Considering that Big Bad operates on the premise of first come first serve with a no reservation policy, it was very frustrating to be forced to wait nearly 40 minutes just to get seated while groups of customers show up after us and get seated before us. Sorry Big Bad but you have lost my business. Its not like your breakfast was ever reasonably priced anyways.

I heard from many people that this was the place to go for breakfast. Went with my mom when she visited, and we were very disappointed. Though our waiter was very pleasant, the runner who brought our food did not make eye contact or say anything, basically just shoved our food at us and left. The food was overpriced and, when I went to pay, the cashier threw my change down on the counter instead of handing it to me. My egg whites were over-peppered and my hash browns were soaked in oil and basically taseless. My moms biscuit was the worse biscuit I have ever had. I was very disappointed with the experience and I will not go back, which is a shame because it came so highly recommended.

First visit to BBB and it was AMAZING. My husband got the Bigbad breakfast Skillet with the eggs over Medium instead of scrambled with the biscuit and gravy. I ate the Yard work skillet (no goat cheese) added medium bacon with toast. The toast was ok but the biscuits and gravy were on point. We also shared a side of bacon which was delicious and we tasted the red eye gravy and tomato gravy. The tomato gravy was the better for the two for sure. It was creamy and smooth. The red eye gravy would be best on a meat not over a skillet. We also had an amazing server. She also recommended some other great restaurants in the area. I will come back again when we visit Birmingham.

This is my wife and Is favorite place to eat breakfast. It is, by far, the best breakfast that we have ever had. Its heavy on the calories, so leave your caution at the door! It was recently listed as one of the top 5 breakfast places in the entire world, behind a restaurant in Sydney, Australia, and a breakfast sushi place in Europe. The interesting breakfast concoctions sound strange, but having eaten everything on the menu a few times now, I can tell you that theyre ALL delicious! Dont miss the opportunity to eat one of their world-famous, clever breakfast items. Theyre insanely good!

Eggs Benedict is AMAZING! Their biscuits are made from scratch as well as the awesome jams that go perfect with them! Get there really early or late afternoon--otherwise you will wait an hour. Octane coffee has free refills and is delicious. Staff is usually great, some of them are slow and incredibly forgetful. Food and drinks are worth it. Parking extends to the Krispy Kreme or Walmart if you cant find a spot closer! The OJ is fresh and amazing

I went to breakfast with my huni....bacon was to spicy to eat and my huni needs to show em how to make Mater gravy, and he said red eye gravy... (ingredients...ham grease, coffee, salt, water... coke belongs in a glass with ice!! I recon I have to say 11 bucks each for grits, eggs, and a biscuit is a bit too expensive, but the company was awesome :-)

I love this place. during my visit to the area, I literally became a local, eating breakfast here 5 times in less than two weeks. you cant go wrong with anything on the menu, seeing that everything I had was delicious. if I had to recommend a single dish, it would definitely be the shrimp & grits. you have to visit this place

I knew the food would be good when I saw the line with a 45 minute wait for Sunday breakfast. I dont know what they put in the grits, but they are DE-licious. I had the Secret History omelet and was very pleased with the flavor of the fresh herbs, shallots, and tomatoes. (I did add bacon which topped it off for me.)

Ate there on. Wed. Morning and it was busy as usual but the server did not rush our party of 7 at all. She was very kind with our two year old. Our table had a variety of items including waffles, pancakes, the skillet breakfast and eggs, the delicious bourbon bacon and grits. All were superb as was the coffee.

Ate breakfast here 2 days in a row. Food is delicious! Service even better! They make almost everything from scratch. If you go, get the chicken sausag . Your mouth and stomach will thank yo . I bought a pound of it to bring home. They cure and smoke their own meat.

Visited Ole Miss from NJ and I had chicken and waffles with grits for the first time. My view may be biased because Im not from the South, but the food was INCREDIBLE. The service was great even on a crazy Saturday morning. Great place!!

Went there on account of popular opinion and was expecting greatness. Unfortunately, the prices were extremely high for a breakfast restaurant but the food was dry and over seasoned. Not at all up par, and not for $10 breakfast meals.

Fabulous food. Reviews led us here but the food will bring us back. Orange juice is fresh squeezed and delicious. Also try the sweet potato hash. You may not be able to decide what to get here buy you wont leave here hungry!!

Great food every time, but the meat can be spicy. The wait can be long on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Local tip: Snackbar next door starts serving drinks at 11 so you can wait on your table at BBB and have a mimosa.
