First of all, this restaurant was recommended by their sister store on Cass Ave in Westmont. We finally drove the hour to finally try Cuisine of India. The service sucked!!! We never got our naan & tandoori chicken so we asked for it. They said it was coming up. Mind you, we were already patiently waiting for 15 minutes. A couple just walked in and they were served our naan & tandoori chicken. We mentioned to the guy who brought the extras out that we asked for them and he was ignorant to pretend not to understand English, he served them to the new couple anyway. We ended up asking for our naan & tandoori chicken AGAIN. Alas!! We finally got it after 28 minutes. We prefer naan to rice so this really inconvenienced us. Our server did a good job of making sure we were taken care of. I would hate to be there during their busy hours if theyre attention span is a zero when theres only a handful of patrons. The food was okay but we always come back for the service. In this case its not worth our time & gas. Not only did we decide not to go back to Cuisine of India, we will not shop at their grocery store anymore either since they suggested that disgusting restaurant to begin with. We like to explore new places but this pricey restaurant doesnt even compare to the indian restaurant in Westmont, Saffron. Their food is always great & reasonably priced and the service is impeccable!! Weve been going to Saffron for years and they havent disappoint!!

The only good things about the restaurant is that it is clean, beautiful, and modern inside. We enjoyed sitting near the fireplace. It has a calm atmosphere and the music isnt annoying and plays in the background. The female server/manager is not friendly at all. Talking to customers doesnt make her cheerfull. She is a terrible listener and has a look on her face that she is annoyed and in way too much of a hurry. Even though there was only one more couple in the restaurant besides us. Ok, the naan was way too thick and i turned it back in to the kitchen with a message that it was undone and doughy. The veg pakoras always should have chaat masala springled over them. I had to ask for it. My husbands channa masala was so spicy. The server/manager never asked us what level of spicyness we wanted. (Even tho i heard her ask the couple at the next table.) Because i had sent the naan back the Male manager came and asked me what the problem waswith the naan. I told him and he just gave me reasons why it was made that way. This went back and forth. He should have dropped the conversation because it made me very unfomfortable.

1st time I went there, they took the liberty to add a ridiculous amount to the tip. I gave a tip on the receipt, they added more! The second time I came with a groupon, they said it was not valid b/c the computer will not accept it. It was a Monday, and I read and re-read the print before I bought the groupon, before I went to the restaurant, and afterwards. It stated, explicitly, good M-TH, no exceptions regarding Labor Day. My wife and I made special plans b/c our kids were also not in school and it was a rare time for my wife and I to both have the day off. The cashier said: "I am sorry, our computer will not accept groupons today," and directed his attention elsewhere, while my wife and I were just dumbfounded in front of other patrons. Thanks for wasting more of my money Cuisine of India. My suggestion to others, there are MANY other Indian restaurants with similar food and BETTER service.

How does this place pass off as restaurant quality food! I ordered for delivery through #UberEats. It was just terrible. Kids attempting first time can cook better. The mirchi pakodas were oozing oil. The were not even close in shape size or form of a mirchi pakoda. Ragda had so much grease that the oil oozed out of the food pack, foil and into the carry bag and there was still oil left in the food. Vegetable Biryani was flavourless. It was basically rice and steamed vegetables. This is the first restaurant that sent Biryani without any salan/raita. Totally disappointed with the quality of food. Had this been served to me in the restaurant I would have walked out of there. Kids attempting to cook for the first time would have done better.

Im an American who often goes to Indian restaurants and cooks a variety of Indian dishes (make my own paneer even!) Indian is by far my favorite cuisine. However, Im surprised that anyone thinks this is a "bad" restaurant. The main female server (also part owner) is great! She always makes sure to talk with us and get us anything we need. Since I moved, I drive out 45 minutes just to go back there. If someone gives a bad review about the food, then they are probably an Indian person who is extremely particular and who thinks anything but their moms food is considered crap. No you wont get heavily spiced dishes (different from hot spicy), but the flavors definitely sing. I will go back as long as I can.

I know Indian food. I know Chicago lunch buffets. This place is pretty solid. Meat eaters will be happy. Not as much selection for vegetarians but they make up for it with taste. The food was tasty even when not well executed i.e. Pakoras were cold, rice and, rice and cauliflower still had water in them but...believe it or not still tasty. Maybe I like them because theyre not afraid of flavor or spice. Taste is authentic. Yesterday at spice grill was the opposite. Dont go there if you want flavor. Service is typical Indian restaurant stone faced killah with the brownies and awkwardly sunny with the whities. Just bit into a nice and steamy samosa. Time for dessert:) usual mango ice cream, kheer, ghulab jamun.

Have been there few times and its definitely one of the best Indian foods in Naperville. What I admire the most is their pledge to keep dishes authentic such as keeping use of cream to the minimal, fresh spices and the use of fresh green chillis where needed. These guys are definitely there to give you a bite of authentic Indian food as opposed to posers who just want to make money in the pretense of serving Indian food. Oh yeah, dont forget to order the moong daal halwa for desert, you are not going to regret! If I could change something, i dont know, perhaps the maharaja style decor with a very formal demeanor is a little too uptight for me. I am not riding on the Palace on Wheels or am I? Keep it guys

Food is good but this place needs a good cleaning. The outside tables look like they have not been cleaned in a while. Food still stuck on them. Ceilings are very dirty especially around the vents. Windows, window sills and doors look like they have not been cleaned in a very long time. The bathroom was dirty and had mold growing around the back splash on the sync. Its the small things especially cleanliness that are important in a restaurant. I hate to see what the kitchen looks like if they have not been keeping up with the rest of the place. I would have rated higher cause the food and the service was good but they really need to do better on cleanliness.
