My only complaint is that there was a really bad draft from the front window--someone had apparently tried to fix this with black duct tape, but it wasnt very effective. So if you go this winter, ask to be seated elsewhere. Other than that, this place was wonderful! Great service, and the atmosphere is very fun and relaxed. It seems like the vibe they are going for is classy comfort food with a really good bar, and they succeed on all counts. For food/beverages: I love wine but dont know a lot about it, so I appreciated the flights and the suggested pairings with the desserts. Great opportunity to sample new wines. To eat, I had the mixed greens salad and french onion soup, both simple but really delicious. And for dessert--the lemon cake, which was a yellow cake topped with pears, plus a lemon cream that the waiter poured over at the table, turning it into a lemony tres leches. So good!! My date isnt a fan of wine, but no problem--they also have beer flights! His beef brisket was very tender, and the 23 flavor BBQ sauce was excellent. And for dessert, the apple pie was also delicious, especially if you love the filling more than the crust. It was essentially a jar of filling with maple ice cream and some crunchy crust artfully placed on top. Overall I will definitely go back, and with a bigger appetite so I can also sample all the meats and cheeses.

Our first visit to FORK a quaint little Bistro on the corner of Lincoln and Wilson Avenues located in Lincoln Square was a charming experience. We had reservations for a Saturday night (highly recommend) and were seated promptly by the Hostess. The restaurant is configured to resemble small, intimate spaces with puffy, upholstered benches and chairs, similar to dining at ones home (aka eating on the couch ;). We are Poutine lovers and were totally looking forward to the FORK Poutine. It consists of hand cut French fries smothered in duck confit, gravy, gooey cheese and fried Rosemary. We all grabbed our forks and pounced on the Poutine, OMG! No counting calories or cholesterol tonight! Yummo! My 2 "boys" ordered the Burger with a fried egg on top. Good News, the egg was runny, which is exactly how it should be cooked. The other ordered the house smoked brisket sandwich. Both were large portions with generous side dishes which could not all be consumed. I decided to go light and ordered the Charcuterie (LOVE to say Charcuterie ;) Board to order. I got to pick 3 meats and 3 cheeses to my liking. It arrives on a cutting board with nice piles of meat and a few bread slices. We would have liked to spent a little extra time at FORK but, we had plans later. Highly recommend for a date night or with a group of friends!

Its always such a pleasure to have a meal at Fork. From the first foot in the door youre welcomed by the entire staff who goes to every length to help you enjoy your visit. As a starter the cheeses and meats are an eye-opener; many unique and flavorful varieties - not just the garden variety types. The nice part is theyre never out of any of the offering! Brunch entrees were fantastic - all ingredients are locally-sourced and fresh as can be. Bagel and house-smoked lox was fresh and had a full variety of accompaniments; breakfast melt was hot and cheesy; hangover special (house-made biscuit, cheddar cheese and bacon) was rich and creamy and side of eggs was cooked exactly as ordered. One of the highlights of Forks menu is the variety of fresh, house-made and house-smoked meats - - the sausage is the best Ive had and the ham is also excellent - tender and full of smoky flavor. Cocktails are always unique and strong - - a specialty being their extensive beer list. The red Sangria was also flavorful and not too sweet (as sangria often is). Our server was friendly, helpful and bent over backwards to help us out - - drinks stayed full, recommendations were made and we had a tremendous time! As always - A++

Fork is the restaurant where I discovered I had a palette. Im a beer-lover, and I can tell the difference between good beer and bad beer, but this place made me understand the subtle differences between various brewers takes on a particular style of beer (IPAs). In addition, the food on the menu is unique and really quite delicious. They combine flavors in ways I would never have thought of (I suppose thats why theyre chefs); that, in and of itself, is reason enough to go back. The wait staff is warm and knowledgeable. They know their beer and wine list and make appropriate recommendations based on what you like and which dinner item you order. Depending on what you order, this place can get pricey, but if youre interested in trying new wines and exotic beers, you should expect to spend a little more than at a more traditional bar/restaurant. For my wife and me, its worth it. You cant go wrong with excellent food, friendly wait staff, and way fun drinks!

Fork is a neighborhood gastropub that offers small plates on weekdays and great brunch on weekends. They have over forty cheeses and 10+ charcuterie selections on their menu, best of which are made in house. I recommend their duck in three forms: smoked, pate, bacon. All in-house made. Its absolutely outstanding. Service is friendly, seating areas plenty (open window seating as well as large outside seating area). Lots of foot traffic for people watching. With a big cellar in the basement, their wine and bottled beer selection is impressive. I noticed lots of large bottle beers on the menu, which are pricey, but meant to be shared with friends. Flights of both wine and beer are available - its always fun to venture and try something new. Im giving them 4 out of 5 because I think they should work on their branding - first time i passed this place I assumed it was a bbq joint.

Stick a Fork in me, because its over. I officially love Fork. I went here the other evening, and had what amounts to a three course meal. The brisket, chicken and dumplings, and poutine were all incredible. The poutine had the gravy and cheese poured on hot at the table, which only added to my love of this dish. The chef was also kind enough to let us take the dish that had the creme brulee in it home with us, as we lived close and let him know that we would bring it back. The place is usually full, but as its a little further north in the hidden gem Lincoln Square, you can generally find a seat by hook or crook (aka by showing up early or reservations). Fork est un bon restaurant au "Lincoln Square". Je suis allée là-bas sur la dernière semaine, et la nourriture était très bien. Nous ne devons pas attendu trop longue, et je suis aimé la poutine.

The day went, it was such a beautiful Saturday, I expected a long wait for a table, but we were seated almost immediately. The hostess was very nice and accommodating. The coffee was good too. My companion ordered the quiche, and I had the BLT. They must have used a pound of bacon, and the tomatoes were fresh and yummy. For me this is very important to having a good BLT. Our server was perfect in her attentiveness, and was amusing as well. My companion loved her quiche too. They have a good beer selection on tap, something I really appreciate. We sat and talked for a long time, but were not bothered or made to feel like it was time to go. The only issue I had was that it was a little loud, but that didnt last long. Definitely going back.
