Walking in it feels homey and non-commercialized, I like that. I thought the buffet might be a little bigger, but once we got to eating, it turned out to be more than enough. The staff ran around here and there taking a break from the kitch, coming by the table to fill up our waters, I liked that they mostly stayed back though. I think my water kept getting filled when I was up filling my plate, which is cool. The decorations could use some additions to the planes and stuff hanging from the ceiling. The place would benefit from some kitch-americana antique type stuff in my opinion. But anyways its about the food rerally, and the food was on point! BBQ oh, sweet BBQ.. they have ribs, chicken, brisket, meatloaf, shepards pie all kinds of sides.. Their sauces are delicious and you should try the couple different kinds they have up by the meats, ( I think there is one kind on all the tables). The sides were pretty good too, beans, greens, potatoes- the only thing I didnt like was the mac N cheese, it was dry and was like plain noodles on the bottom with cheese baked on top..hmm. They also have a taco bar, which I think has got to be for the kids, because thats all I seen up there when we went. I mean I like tacos, but these were ya know the "american tacos" and well.. with all that good, southern, homecooked bbq going on I didnt look twice at the tacos! All in all very good place, its kinda dingy, -(but clean) sorta cheap looking and not flashy, but the food shines and thats what matters!!

This was without a doubt the absolute worst buffet I have ever visited. Normally, I wouldnt consider eating at a buffet for lunch, dinner or ever... but I was coaxed by my coworkers to join them. The dirty, broken tile floors were littered with splattered food, crumpled napkins, cutlery, and crumbs. The food had that unappetizing day old look and smell. I should have turned back immediately! I did sample some of the offerings and was just as similarly disappointed. The servers, whose only responsibility was to deliver a beverage and your check upon completion of your feast, were huddled about the beverage service area chatting and chewing. (I hope someone brought them lunch from another venue) It was impossible to gain the attention of our server. From the kitchen I heard raucous laughter and a gravelly voice hollering "where you at?". Wow, what a circus!

The food is delicious, I love their barbeque ribs and chicken! The antiques are nice to look at, the main complaint that I have is that they need to have a cleaner building both inside and outside! The windows are filthy dirty and the inside isnt as clean as it should be for an eating establishment! They are too cheap to hire someone who would clean their windows to perfection and at a more than fair price! My husband owns his own window cleaning business and has talked to Jeff Lipton about cleaning their windows, but was put off and was later told that they had hired someone to clean the windows, but guess what? They still have filthy dirty windows, just because they dont want to get up off their wallet and pay for good quality work to be done!

i honestly like to support local small business. I use to go to this place at least 3times per week. The food was not bad for the price. What truly honestly turned me away is when the owner sneezed in his hands did not wash nor sanitize and touched the serving spoons that everyone else uses to fix there plates. And im sure others noticed it because some people that were seayed would just pause...Smh This literally happened on 3 different occasions that i counted. Hed sneeze touch those serving spoons and stirred up the grits eggs etc without sanitizing. It discussed me for the very last time when i had my daughters with me. I left the food on the table and took my babies elsewhere. This is True...

Ok folks if you are looking for fine china and linens dont come to Luptons ! This place is SERIOUS SOUTHERN HOME COOKING !!! The best I have found (espeically for the price) The BBQ chicken has an awesome smokey flavor and you cant go wrong with the collard greens !! No matter what you are in the mood for they have it...salad bar, garlic bread or corn bread..baked macaroni and cheese and fresh mashed potatos..if you saved room ( we never do) they have a dessert bar with lots of items to choose from...Its our favorite place to go when really hungry and in the area!

As i walked in there was a young man who told me to hold on while he finished his text, then told me to have a seat where ever. As i sat down i told them i wanted a sweet tea with lemon. I waited forever for my drink, the food selection sucked and was nasty. Nothing was labled so i had no idea what i was eating. The food prepers were playing with the food i had a worker bump into me and keep walking . just a very nasty rude place Then they charged me extra for a to go cup. I will Never eat or go back again EVER!

I really wanted to like this place but it was so disappointing. Their ribs are really good but everything else tasted like boxed food. The mac & cheese tasted like one from a box and so did the potatoes and gravy. Their meatloaf was covered in some type of gravy which was disgusting to me. Im surprised people even like this place. Never coming back.

I attended a wedding reception which was catered by Luptons and the food was just amazing. It was not typical wedding food. The vegetables were delicious, the steak was the best I ever had, and the mashed potatoes were presented in a fancy glass. I visit their Temple Terrace restaurant on occasion, and the service, atmosphere and food is great!

Breakfast buffet is awesome! The history is cool too, since 1963. Pappy Boyington autograph on wall, lots of community awards and autographed Thunderbirds pix in T-38s. 10 large wood flying models hang from ceiling, P-38, Corsair, B-25, F-16 to name a few (4 ft wingspans). These places are harder to find. Patronize them if you are near.

Listen, Id give a great review for this place but to be honest, its my spot. I dont want a bunch of hipsters messing this up for me. So if you have beard oil or ironic flannel shirts, go away. If you want some good southern and soul food in a no fuss setting made with love.......you can come.

I have been there twice now both trips the place was dirty and food was aweful. Poor sevice, no one ever came to check on our table the last time. I would not eat there again. I never recommend this place to my guest visiting from out of town
