I took my wife to Le Ciel for Mothers Day. Mistake! I ordered a Smoked Salmon / Spinach crepe topped with Alfredo sauce. Sounds good? The Salmon was bad; tasted like Amonia! Yuck! The crepes are accompanied with a "Salad" topped with a home-made ranch dressing. Sounds good? The salad consists of: Lettuce... topped with this under-flavored ranch dressing. Salads (in my book) should at least have 3 ingredients (other than lettuce and dressing)! Boring! This plate alone cost me $11.75! I over-spent $75. that day (including crepes for my wife and two kids). Drinks do not include refills (not a show-stopper), but how about a refill on water? I got a dessert crepe to share (banana and chocolate; IT was better than anything else). I am disgusted that I paid for this and did not say anything at the time. I wanted to avoid an unpleasant scene on Mothers Day... so I saved my recipe to remind me to follow-up later. In this day of watching every penny, you need to be careful of restaurants that try to cut corners... like this one. Expiration dates DO matter. Bottom line: The crepes do not taste fresh. They are rubbery.

Me and my friends were going to lunch nearby but saw this place and stopped there instead. They saw us looking through the window and opened early for us since the kitchen was ready. The service was great and the food was amazing. The salad was really phenomenal and it was just a side to my sandwich I ordered. The dessert crepes were fantastic and I plan to go back soon. The whole place had a very quaint feel and would be great for tourists or locals!

This tucked away cafe is SLOs best kept secret. Never usually a wait, the staff is friendly and attentive. The crepes are fantastic. My favorite is the Edna Valley, a crepe with tofu, mushrooms, spinach and tomato. The potatoes are tender and delicious and add a needed heft to the meal and I highly recommend the banana soup. The sweet crepes are equally amazing--how can you go wrong with Nutella and fresh strawberries?

Never a miss with Le Ciel, I have eaten there at busy times and slow times and the service has always been great. The cuisine is hard to beat, you can get creative or choose from some great crepes they make (fun names too). A "comfy" dinner spot.

This is the greatest little place to eat in SLO. My wife and I go here regularly to enjoy the savory crepes prepared by the sweetest owner. We highly recommend going here!

Really good food. Specials are almost always worth ordering. You are nuts if you dont get a dessert crepe--I recommend the Santa Margarita!

Good place for lunch. Great and interesting soups. The African Banana, while it sounds strange is delightful.
