Rude, clueless hostess has customers waiting without telling them how long the wait will be. Once sitted, no server stopped by the table for the "I will be with you when I can" or whatever greeting for more than five minutes. Nothing. Small businesses like this need to get it together if they want their impatient customers to give them more stars/better reviews and wait to taste the food before throwing a tantrum. First impressions do count. Update: food average, coffee weak, service intermittent...

(Agreed w/Sean Copher) - Ive since forgotten this predecessors name: twas nice, simple, & quaint once, & unless I missed something, not quite as much any more. -☆NO REST ROOMS ○CA$H ONLY ●Seats 32 MAX. $15 (incl. tip) got me a (decent/refilled) cup of coffee, + a skimpy, limpy, & wimpy undercooked 2 strips vs. 1/4-1/3c. crunchy & crumbled bacon in a heavily-tomatoed (theoretically signature dish?) "Fritatta Ixtapa". Maybe I shouldve tried one of their other specials(?) Jurys still out...

We were visiting Evanston for NU graduation and stopped in because we were hungry. Its a neighborhood place, folks. You cant go expecting "crispy" service, immediate seating, etc. You deal with the local folks and sometimes ya gotta wait!! The fruit gazpacho is great; the menu a little out of the ordinary which makes it worth a try. We would go again.

Food ok, but wont go back because they are cash only! No debit, no checks, found out when paying my bill. I understand why no credit cards but cash ONLY??? Lots of other places nearby with better food

My family and I love this place. The pancakes are sooooo good!!!! We have never tried lunch but if it is half as good as the breakfast its worth it. Very casual, friendly atmosphere.
