Looking for good food, good service and reasonable/competitive value for your meal, I would not recommend this restaurant. If you love beautifully remodeled old buildings with easy parking downtown then this might just be the place for you. Service; 20 min and three tries in an attempt to get a popular whisky on the rocks, I was finally advised they can’t deliver my drink. It was cold outside so I ordered an Irish Coffee. Another 10 min and two tries to get Irish Coffee, they actually asked me how to make it. When the drink came out it had coffee and whiskey, no whipped cream, whatever I drank it. She did advise after I drank it she advised, “ya we don’t have wipe cream” this might have been good to know before they delivered the drink! As for food service, after about 20 min she dropped off very little bread, very little, but very good. It was good and we were hungry and had to flag her down 20 min latter for some more, she was avoiding us by then I guess. When food arrived she dropped and ran, never asking if it was good until we were done. Food/value; Forgot my cheaters and saw on menu Steamed Catfish in bold type, sounded good and I ordered it. I received catfish covered up in some curry type fruit sauce. In summery worst catfish I have eaten ever. That said if I had read the menu, as I did this morning, it does not say curry fish, but does say curry rise so I might still have ordered it. After 10 min of trying to get server attention I gave up ate ½ and by then she came around and I ask her to take it away. To her credit she asked if I liked it. Two of my companions wanted stake but not wanting to spring 39 for it and ordered the ½ serving for 21.50, this was shown to be a very bad mistake the serving size was laughable. It was a small medallion with a tea spoon side. Everyone in the party referenced the Cheetos commercial of the fancy French restaurant and two guys left hungry in search of food. The fourth of our party ordered the pulled pork. He liked it but looked to me like 10 oz of barbeque pork on a slice of bread for 21.25, good value? I must say at end of evening the manager came by and advised he understood I did not like the fish and wanted feedback; he was quite nice and appeared interested in my feedback. I did take full responsibly for not reading the detailed summery of the fish, he gave me the fish for free.

Went here last night. I wanted to love it soooooooo badly. I hear everybody my wife works with state how good it is. Well, I guess we came on a bad night? We made a reservation. Had a concert to go to an hour and a half after we sat down. 90+% of other restaurants this is adequate time. It took the full 90 mins we had to get our food. The manager could tell we were frustrated because it took so long. The waiter was less than adequate. He got our drink orders (Which was 2 drinks and everybody else drinks water)Then gets our food order, and we dont see him again until its time for the check. Other people stepped in to deliver the bread and food. The manager came over to talk to us, and we didnt call her over. After a quick chat she apologized, however said "we shouldve mentioned we were headed to the concert so they could hurry our table along". They are three blocks from U.S. Cellular Coliseum. How could a restaurant not plan for even the possibility of being busy on a concert night or any other event night? I dont manage a restaurant but i would think this would be a 101 lesson. The food was ok. Not spectacular like everybody had told me. But it wasnt terrible either. The overall of the building looks was good, however because of the reclaimed theme, the brick walls and wood ceiling, it was very loud in there. And it was only half busy. So i can only image what a full house is like. It was hard to carry on conversations with our table. If you have nothing to do but sit at a restaurant and eat ok food while yelling at your friends all night, this is the place for you. I wont go back. And im not a picky person. Honestly i dont write many reviews because most places are great, good or tolerable. This place wasnt for me. Best of luck to you if you choose to go!

Dont go here. The food was awful, wifes food was inedible and manager took it off the bill, over priced bland fillet steak, service was disorganized, distracted and harried, and menu for dinner was very limited. Dont let them seat you in the lower bar area as the TV is too loud with sports or news and chairs are old and uncomfortable. We paid the bill and then walked out and didnt see another hostess or manager to even ask us to have a pleasant evening or how things were. It is under new management according to the blurb in the menu and it was not good. The idea is cool as an old firehouse but that is all its got. Cant think of any reason we would ever go there again.

We tried Station 220 for my birthday, and Im so glad we did! The atmosphere is just lovely and very relaxing (the TV at the bar detracts slightly, but only slightly). Our server, Addie, was exceptionally attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. The food was superb! Being mostly vegetarians and not attracted to the one veggie entree, we went for a smattering of different sides, appetizers, and small plates, which allowed us to try a whole bunch of different options at a very reasonable price. For dessert we had the crème brûlée, served with a persimmon sauce. Divine! We dont live in the area but I know well be back next time were in town.

Best food experience Ive had almost anywhere, but especially of Bloomington-Normal. The food was fresh beyond belief and tasty... tasty; the atmosphere was just right; and the staff friendly, attentive (but not overly so), and helpful in entree selection. Its expensive at $80 for the two of us to have an appetizer, entrees, and soft drinks... While I wish the prices made the restaurant more accessible more often to more people, that just might be the price you have to pay for local food. Ill be back. I hope some great competition open soon.

Ate here on a whim while waiting to go to a concert. Best decision ever! Food was fantastic (we both got ribeyes, salad and baked potato) service was great (our waiter was very informative and helpful without being overbearing), we even sprung for dessert (a delicious creme brulee topped with a homemade marshmallow!). Yes, it is a bit on the expensive side, (our bill was 89 before tip) but it was well worth it in my opinion and I am sure if we are ever in Bloomington again we will most definitely dine there again.

The food was excellent and fresh. The service was adequate. Our main waiter seemed to treat us as an afterthought. We waited for 15 min to have a waiter simply greet us and when we said we were ready to order, he said ok and then disappeared for another 10 min. I would highly recommend Epiphany Farms for their fresh food. Its the service that we did not have the best experience with. Though, the woman who seemed to be assisting our waiter was much more warm and hospitable. Their roles should be reversed.
