The overall experience was sub par. We first walked to the door, I had my kiddo with a stroller. The hostess noticed me and watched me have significant trouble opening the door due to handling the stroller and door, she did nothing but sit there and watch me struggle. Ordering food and drinks went along with no issues. The food arrived at a decent time, bit the restaurant began to fill with smoke and the rest of the time the restaurant was hazy and felt dingy. After eating half of my Tuscan chicken, I noticed a piece of the sun-dried tomato was completely burnt. I set it aside because you can get burnt ends when the chicken gets baked. It wasnt a big deal at first, but after eating a couple bites another piece turned up and basically ruined my appetite due to the bitterness of the burnt piece. After notifying the staff of the issue, the management decided to not comp that part of the meal because "I ate more than half". I was kind of annoyed because Im not the type to complain to staff. After that my check came and they ended up charging me for somebody elses meal... after another 20 mins of waiting I was able to write this review and post it. Very embarrassing for a restaurant to have service like this. Btw the restaurant is still hazy from the smoke after 40 mins. Will not come again.

Worst food ever.. Cooks sounded drunk. Hot chili flakes all over food!! Even mixed in with mashed potatoes.. There was an elderly man sitting next to me and was choking on the mashed potatoes because of the chili. It was not on the menu. I was there 1 time in and it was the last time.. The waitress was mad because she had get a high chair for my little girl and was angry when my baby spilled the olive oil dip which was in a saucer on the table cloth. Definitely not a family friendly enviorment.. Maybe the cook who is a drunk. I use the word cook BECAUSE HE CERTAINLY ISNT A CHEF!! But its to expensive to give a second try!!! Owners Jeff and Katie should just use it as a Highend bar for their rich clients.. It was soo loud the rude waitress told us the only quite place was on the patio and it was February! The place had just opened for dinner service and there were already drunk customers at the bar....

This restaurant is fabulous. The food is always fresh & super delicious. The service is amazing. The servers are so nice and funny, they make you feel comfortable. Theres a big seating selection to choose from, you pick. When theres music its just all the more fun & up beat. The drinks are fantastic, at the bar and at the dinner table either way youre havin a good time. The pricing, is great for how much they put into it. Try it out (:

Probably been to City Café 45-60 times (before I moved out of the area). While it can be a bit pricey, I was never disappointed by the food and the service staff and owners were usually a lot of fun. Its easily the best restaurant in the area and my experiments in trying various menu items were always well rewarded. The City Café is a great Yuba City memory for me.

The plates are btwn about $15 - $20. The atmosphere is very relaxing in the patio seating with lots of greenery and water fountains. The food is superb and presented nicely. Im not sure why the last reviewer had such a terrible experience bcuz our experience was great! This place is worth the price when you want a dinner with atmosphere and great food.

They have superior options on the menu like snapper, and grassfed beef but the execution is a little poor. I was disappointed in the seasoning and for the price I dont think it was worth it. The patio is nice and atmosphere is great for date night, but stick with some of the lower cost options to get your moneys worth.

Ambience is spot on here. Just not a fan of the pretentious vibe set by the servers and hostess. Food can be good. The owner, if I remember clearly, goes to the bay area on a regular basis to get fresh fish and meats. Youre not getting that at red robin.

Food was bland had to add salt no flavor my daughter ordered rack of lamb it was gross. They took over an hour to bring our food. Definitely not worth the wait. The waitress was nice but she was nt efficient. And lastly I was attacked by mosquitoes.

I love City Cafe in Yuba City! Great service, delicious food, good beverage selection, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. I like to take friends and family there when they visit. Check out their wine bar across the street, too!

Probably the most upscale restaurant in Yuba City. This place has excellent food, and the specials are seasonal and delicious. The patio is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail.
