Dud. Ok over played with food. Nothing amazing and definitely overpriced. Service was horrible. The bartenders seemed good. The problem was if you sat at a high top in the bar area. You seemed to fall into no mans land without any support. The bartenders did the bar and occasionally ventured away. Some sort of assistant (cross between barboy and waterboy) would occasionally take orders but they had a habbit of never getting placed/delivered. Beer was good but overpriced. Too bad. Its always nice to have another fun place in the hood. In the same spirit, I would always choose Bungalow 44 where the service is excellent over this place. For a step down in price, go to Sweetwater.

This place is not vegan friendly. I went here with my 87 year old vegan grandmother and the chef refused to give her a side of balsamic dressing with her salad (to replace the yogurt dressing) as he felt that would be altering his menu. I would have understood his decision had we requested several modifications to the menu during rush hour or asked for ingredients they may not have. However, this was in-between the rush, there were only 2 other tables at the restaurant, and one of the menu items already had balsamic vinegar so we knew for sure they carried it. Upon realizing that the chef was actually serious, we cancelled the rest of our food order, finished our drinks and walked out.

This is a confusing place. Expected a great beer tasting joint (it is called "beerworks") but the beer selection was sadly unlocal and uninteresting. They only pour a flight for their house beers, which arent great. They refused a half pour of a guest beer, which was on tap. They claim theyre serving "creative pub food", but theyre not. Brussels sprouts... liver mousse... not pub food. The vibe is modern and a bit pretentious. Mill valley would do well with an awesome artisinal beer joint focused on the myriad local beers of the region and beyond. This is not it.

Its kind of like an Epcot Center for beer. They have a ridiculous variety of beers from around the world, all of them served cold. They recently got in vegetarian and vegan friendly food items, too, which I appreciate very much since I have a restricted diet. Justin and Tyler are always very friendly and helpful in selecting beers for me, which I also like because when Im drinking I dont usually like making decisions beyond naming a country. Overall, good atmosphere, just dont smoke in front. The ladies getting a facial next door dont like that very much. ;)

Go for the beer, great beer and only beer. Confused attempt at identity. Not gnarly enough for a brewery or pub setting. Too basement ballpark to be viable for food service. No pretzels, no flavors on any food on the menu, no chilli, no sauerkraut, no finger food to keep you there before eating. Food is devoid of flavor, cheese on salads is not as advertised. So, go for the beer, great beer.

Typical overpriced overhyped CA nonsense restaurant. If you listen closely, you can hear the people next to you trying to convince themselves that 4 local brussels sprouts with some soy sauce and bbq are worth 11 dollars......the jokes on anyone who actually buys into this mediocre dinner spot with thin, uncomplex beers to boot.

Loved the food, the beer too! And the willingness of the waitress and chef to be creative and veganize the Red Beet Hummus, the outstanding peppers with Olives! The Maitake mushroom crostini, the out of this world corn with EVOO instead of butter, freaking amazing! And the Farotto all veganized and off the charts! Thank you!

Community-minded establishment (they generously contribute to the Library Foundation) that serves tasty food. The selection of hand-crafted beer, which they brew, is outstanding. Looking for a drink in downtown Mill Valley? This is your first stop

Highest quality ingredients combined in creative, unique, and tasty combinations. Unsurpassed selection of beers with a knowledgeable wait-staff. Unique experience. High prices. Standings up to any bistro in the world.

Give yourself a whole evening of indulging in the variety of beers and very tasty menu of small plates. You will leave with the satisfaction of consuming some fine beers from a wide variety of high-end microbrews.

Incredibly knowledgable bartenders, fresh local foods and a great atmosphere. Try the muscles, mushroom toast and/or the farro!! Service is excellent, Ive never had a negative experience.

Good atmosphere. Nice local beer selection. Food is interesting. Dont sit on the left side of the restaurant (right in front of the kitchen) because it can get smoky at times.

Good small plates, a little on the pricey side. Misnamed, not beer focused, serving primarily Fort Point beers; not a huge selection but good beer.

The waitress was an amazing human. She was so cool to our special needs friend . She made everyone feel welcome. The beer selection was top notch.

The sheer size of their beer selection makes the place unique - the pretzels and bar fare are high quality....but the service is very hit/miss.

Pretentious vibe, beer a bit overpriced but I guess on par with MV. Serve beer in centiliters instead of ounces. Staff was friendly.

Excellent original brews and a creative menu. Tomato soup with duck fat croutons paired with a death & taxes was a winning combo.
