So I went here today and it was quite stuffed - which I consider to be a good sign. We had a 3 course meal: tempura, ramen and sushi. However, they brought everything at the same time, which made the sushi lose its cold wanted temperature. The ramen was not the best, as the the items in it werent giving it a blended flavour but a very heterogeneous one. The sushi looked terrible: as you can see in the picture, the rice doesnt look consistent enough and it wasnt. We had a mojito pitcher to drink which turned out to be all ice and no flavour (needless to say that the "popular dragon fruit flavour" was instead strawberry) and the price didnt help. Overall, there are way better Japanese restaurants in town (ex Yakitori Yuchan) that serve food with more quality and more traditional Japanese style.

A pretty basic sushi option that is a prevalent chain around Sac area. The fish Ive tried here is just ok, and the food generally is overpriced. I tried the tuna sashimi appetizer and also had a chicken udon bowl. The appetizer had minimal amounts of fish and the fish didnt taste that great. For the udon, there was very little chicken meat and very little flavor. I also tried a few pieces of my friends individual rolls but they werent very memorable. For very Americanized sushi (which apparently most of Davis likes) this is the place to go, but there are a lot of better smaller places to go and even sushi buffet that is better quality than here.

We were seated promptly, greeted by our server, Andrew promptly. Cold sake prices were very affordable. The manager, Jay, arrived to our table to tell us about a few of his favorite items. After he mentioned several, I told him to bring us 4 or 5 of his favorites. Flash fried BBQ tuna was great. Freaky Edamame was spicy and tasty. Incredible Roll was just that. Black and White, tuna with jalapeno in s special sauce was great. Everything was tasty, and served in a timely manner. Highly recommend this place. 3 of us with a bottle of cold Sake, one beer and food $100.

This place is AMAZING! Our server was very attentive and patient with us and all of our food was delicious. My boyfriend and I both got a bento and the teriyaki salmon in mine was soooo good. The sushi was very tasty and fresh as well. My Dad got a few pieces of sashimi that included tako and it was delicious as well. Plus fresh hot green tea to top it all off.

Mikuni is always a treat no matter which location you go to. Always get the BBQ Albacore with both sauces, the Carmichael, the Marilyn Monroll, and just about anything else on the menu. It may be expensive, but you get what you pay for - and sushi is not a food Id recommend you go with the cheapest option.

Love Mikuni--the great food, the energy, the courteous service. Plus Taro Arai seems like such a phenomenal person with a zest for life and an interesting story. Dont pass up this gem! So many great dishes to try; I would go every day if I could.

环境很好,味道也还行,但价格略高,更接近酒吧的感觉。但啤酒种类比较少,只有朝日和Sapporo

My buddy took me here when I was out visiting him at UC Davis. I could not stop eating the sushi, it was that good. Tasted fresh and full of flavor. You have to try the BBQ tuna appetizer (and every roll on the menu if you are lucky enough).

we always have fun and we always have fresh fish...were not into rolls...just the fish please! We love sitting at the sushi bar and talking with the sushi chefs, drinking hot sake and beer, eating edamame...its always a great experience!

Its a good mikunis. Good food and usually prompt service. The manager is very strict about substitutions or modifications even for paying an extra charge. Also beware for large groups and splitting checks, they only let you spit 4 ways

Started going to their original strip mall tiny place. Now go often to their Davis location. Cannot get enough sea steak (with killer sauce over the tuna and ribbons of daikon) or special scallops ... yum. Never disappointed.

Sushi was OK but not the price. Be prepared to spend much more here than other sushi bars. Sacramento versions of Mikunis are better than Davis, so if your going to spend that much money better to travel to Sac. l

I like the creativity of the rolls, but they put a lot of sauce on everything. Recommend getting more of the sashimi or asking for light/no sauce. Coconut mixed drink is really really good.

Service is okay, and the food here is pretty good but a little on the expensive side. But what you gotta come here for is the oyster shooters, damn its good. I get that everyone I come here.

Trendy sushi, which isnt my favorite, but my wife loves it. The food is pretty good, but when I was sushi, I just want fresh fish and I dont need it all gussied up. A good date spot.

Very personable, friendly staff. Excellent sushi, fresh and mild. Their new mixed beet salad is incredibly good, fresh beets slightly braised to remove most of the earthy flavor.

Its allright. But over hyped, and you get to wait for a table, so that takes away from the experience. Otherwise it would have been 3 stars. Service was good.

Wonderful fresh fish. Noisy atmosphere. Ask to sit at an outside table. Pitcher of Mojitos are refreshing and include lots of mint. Recommend the Pepperfin.

Best sushi in town. Everything we ordered was excellent. The atmosphere was upscale. A little pricey, but well worth it, because of the high quality.

No doubt about it, this is the best place when it comes to authentic Japanese cousin. Youll not find another place like this. The ambience is perfect.

Pretty good food, but usually a long wait. Some of the staff is really nice, but I havent had consistent experiences aside from the copious waiting.

Love to come here for birthdays and spin the wheel. I always hope for a bag of rice, but Ill settle for a T-shirt or a $10 gift certificate.

I love them for their exotic sushi rolls & fresh and flavorful sashimi. As them about their fresh fish of the day!

Very good sushi, not the most affordable. Since Davis is a college town, there are better deals around downtown.
