Star Coffee Restaurant is an outstanding Ethiopian restaurant located close to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and a couple of blocks south of Tukwila Light Rail station. I’ve been coming to this Restaurant since way before I moved to Seatac from North West Seattle. The restaurant serves delicious Ethiopian foods such as Kitfo, Vegetarian dishes,Tibs (Roasted lamb & beef) and other Ethiopian dishes flavored by organic Ethiopian spices imported form mother land and served with my lovely Injera (the sour & spongy nutritious flat bread) What I also love about this Restaurant is that it is very clean, the waitresses and kitchen staffs are very friendly, smiling and they never stop showing you that genuine Ethiopian hospitality. The owners are also very respectful, friendly and they closely supervise the restaurant. In my understanding this outstanding Ethiopian restaurant is a favorite destination for locals and visitors. Every time I visit this restaurant I feel at home especially during holidays since i live far away from my parents and country. I also loved seeing my hardworking fellow Ethiopians (Dedicated Seahawks Fans) and diversified group of people dining, watching football games and entertaining there. All in all the Star Coffee Restaurant is a favorite dining, drinking & Ethiopian Music entertainment landmark in the area. Therefore i would suggest every one to go and experience it.

Recently we ordered Veggie (BEYEAYNETU), the food was delicious and we all loved it, I have friends who are working with me at the car rental facility and they never tried Ethiopian food before, after they test this "Veggie BEYE AYNETU" they loved it and keep ordering from this restaurant, its a good location to try an Ethiopian test for people who are going to rent a car or traveling out of seattle, I highly recommend this place.

I cant comment on the food because the kitchen was closed when I went in around 11pm. However, they do stay open until 2am and they have a little bar (with alcohol) along with coffee/tea. So when your staple coffee places are closed and you have a long drive after a long flight, a $2 cup of coffee to go that doesnt require sugar or milk is a winner in my book. I have had Ethiopian food before in CA, so hopefully I will have the chance to eat here some day and write about that experience. It is kind of a hole in the wall and would easily be missed, so you have to look closely for it.

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES FOR ETHIOPIAN IN THE ENTIRE SEATTLE AREA. It is so worth going out pretty much to the airport for. (And Ive intentionally gone here before or right after a flight, since its less than a mile from the airport. Protip -- if you dont have a car to put in its tiny parking lot, and dont want to take the bus (though the bus does stop right by it), take the shuttle to the rental car center, and walk down the hill. Its scary especially at nighttime, but the place is at the bottom of the hill. The food is FANTASTIC.

I love Ethiopian food, but this was pretty bad. We tried ordering the lamb tibs, but they were out, so we got the kitfo and veggie combo. Neither was as described, there was no cabbage or salad with the veggie combo, and the kitfo was just seasoned ground beef, no greens or cheese as described in the menu. The split peas in the combo were rotten, and most of the dishes were cold - not heated at all. The waitress was nice, but the food was terrible. Bummer, I really wanted to like this place.

The food is delicious and very authentic . Me and my friend had tibs firfir . It was one of the best tibs firfir I ever had and the portion was so generous. One order of it could easily feed two people. Our server , on 07/03/2017 morning, Tinbit, was very nice and very friendly. She did take a good care of us. Thank you for the superb customer service! I will definitely come back to this place the next chance I have.

The waiter and waitress didnt speak English, which made ordering hard. The dish I ordered wasnt what was described and when I tried to tell them they eventually tries to fix it, but still wasnt as described I love Ethiopian food but wont be going back

Great authentic Ethiopian food. My son wanted to take my parents here after they landed at SeaTac. So glad! I will be back; this restaurant is nourishing on all levels, and the food is delicious and flavorful. Staff was attentive.

I really like the shop & the restaurant but The waitress are all too slow to serve even for regular customers. not just one or couple times being slow to me but often times, above all the owners are so nice & friendly.

Had the lamb and the veggie combo. Both tasted like heaven but the lamb was a little more on the fatty side for my preferences (Ive never been a fan of fat on meats, except for bacon, gotta have fat on bacon).

Both the wife and I ended up sick with a stomach issue from merely having coffee. The Barista was wonderful and friendly, but most other people seem to treat us as we were the wrong race and not welcome.

Highly reccomend 1 dish for every 2 people. Portions are great, food is delicious. Service can seem a bit wonky but it is a family run restaurant. People are friendly and I highly reccomend #11

They have a very good Ethiopian food along with excellent customer service. If you want to eat Ethiopian food in Seattle it is one of the beast place to consider & it is closer to the Airport.
