Ive been here twice in the last month. The first time, with a group of five we arrived at 5:30pm. There was no wait to be seated. Its nice that this place allows you to bring up to two bottles of wine without a corkage fee. I recommend bringing a red, it goes well with bbq beef. The second time I made reservations almost a week in advance for a party of eight at 9:15pm. When I got there, the hostess told me that they were just waiting for our table to free up and that the guests were dive eating and were just chatting still. Okay, I didnt mind waiting 10-15mins for them to finish up. However, I had elderly guests visiting from out of town and I hadnt expect the wait to be almost an hour. I really think they should set seating duration limits for 1.5-2hrs like some of the restaurants. They could have also let us sit at another table. I saw a group of 8 come in 20 mins after us and they sat down within a few minutes. Both times, I ordered the beef combo and pork combo. The cheese dip is a must get if youre ordering pork, they give one complimentary for ordering a large meat combo. I love the beef short ribs, they are so tender and juicy. Its not marinated so you can taste the natural beef flavors. The pork jowl was very good too. Ive been to a few Korean restaurants in LA and LV; however, hobak, falls short in comparison of service. Both times at Hobak the service was very slow and they have a buzzer at the table but no one seems to answer them. Perhaps they are short on workers. The combos came with two soups. And each time the staff they not think to give us extra bowls, laddles, spoons, etc. You have to ask for sesame oil to add to your salt. We brought our own wine, but the staff had no time to open it, we had to ask for the bottle opener. Normally drinks are served first but our server was very lost. Service is very slow and the staff looked overworked and unhappy being there. Thats the main reason I couldnt give them 5 stars. There is single restrooms for male and females. Its nice that they provide you with mouthwash and disposable toothbrushes. I recommend this place solely for the meat and to go early but dont expect great service.

My family and I were served by a Thai staff member on Christmas (his name slipped me) and his excellent service made a huge difference. He was charming and superbly good with my little brother, laughed at my aunties bad jokes and even entertained my uncle with tales as he cooked our food! I honestly wanted to tip him $100 and sorely regret not doing so. (Please give him a pay rise.) Table service aside, this casual little dining place exceeded our expectations. As others have said, Hobak has staff to serve and cook the food in front of you so you can focus on conversation and eating. The food was fantastic! The side dishes alone were very good and we ordered third servings of plenty of things, and those last few spicy meats of the family pack were to die for. I also found it cute and wonderfully helpful that they offered mouthwash and mouth-cleaning utensils in the restrooms. If youre thinking of introducing someone to Korean BBQ, this is the place to take them! I highly recommend Hobak and wish the business a prosperous future (so I can keep coming back during my vacations in Vegas). Long story short, thank you for existing and God bless.

Finally a kbbq up to par with those in California! We came in around noon on Saturday and there was a short wait, but Ive heard that if you come in during dinner its not unusual to wait 1hr 1/2 for a table. The service was spectacular and everyone there really worked together making it a very carefree BBQ experience. You will have one main server who will cook all your meat and veggies, but if she steps away another server will pop in to ensure none of the meat burns; Never giving you that awkward feeling of asking yourself if you should flip the meat or not. We ordered a small hobak family combo with the intention of trying the Bi-bim Bap, but the combo was so incredibly filling that we were too full to continue ordering. The side dishes were good, but the one that stood out to me was the kimchi, crunchy and heavily coated. Dont forgot that dessert is also included with the combo, and I must remind you again to save room for it because it will not disappoint. The rice pop ice cream sandwich may look bland, but it is an explosion in your mouth. If youre looking for good kbbq this is the only place you should go in town.

No doubt about it, we love us some Hobak. This is not an AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant, so the price of a meal at Hobak is higher than those kind of establishments, but the quality of the food is top-notch. We usually get the Hobak Beef Combo choosing Angus short rib, rib eye, and marinated skirt steak. The marinated skirt steak is definitely my favorite of the combo and I would be happy eating just that. The meal comes with lots of banchan plus the rice pop ice cream dessert. You get plenty of food for two people with the small combo order. The staff runs around cooking the food for customers so you dont have to worry about anything except eating. Because this place is so popular, we time our visits accordingly, arriving when they open or before the dinner rush: getting here before 6pm is usually good unless you have a big party. Its also a loud and boisterous place with music on blast, so just come here to enjoy the food and save the meaningful conversations for later.

The quality is good and prices are reasonable for Las Vegas in the Korean barbecue. There is quite a good range of different dishes and they all taste good. The problem is that youll have to queue for one hour or more, in the heat of the desert city. Luckily enough, the restaurant provides free small bottles of water for people queueing. They also offer Wi-Fi and unexpected services like providing toothbrush and toothpaste. The interior design is old Korean movies style and some fake roofs. The service isnt great, with waiters dropping stuff thats hanging over customers heads, dropping dishes and other things to the floor. Also, their charcoal is quite explosive, sending small fireworks dangerously close to the customers eyes before the fire is covered by a metallic lid. Overall a nice experience, but not as ideal as advertised.

Nothing beats going out for meat especially Korean BBQ. I love the selection at Hobak and the fact that they grill for you at the table make the whole Korean BBQ experience here top notch. I cant wait to stuff my mouth. The pork cheek and different cuts of meat are so good. Its a little pricey but the customer service is really good so I guess you get what you pay for. I personally like gen for the ayce buttttt the way they celebrated birthdays here is makes the price worth it too. They make the birthday boy/girl the center of attention by turning up the music, bribing out a ice cream dessert with sparklers, and sing them happy birthday. Its fun to watch :)
