Sadly the only good thing I can comment on was the politeness and cheerfulness of the staff. I called in an order for a cheeseburger and fries. While I showed up about 5 minutes early, it was roughly an additional 10 minutes or more before the order was ready. It was busy there and I completely understand, but I still had to cool my heels another 5+ minutes while other people were rung up while I waited to pay for my food. Finally another salesperson was called over to help and I had them add on a couple pieces of pie. When I got home and opened my burger box, I was taken aback at the wreck of a burger inside. The patty was unseasoned and overcooked - comparable to a frozen burger. Bland as anything and completely disappointing. There was cheese and a bun and a couple of pickles on the side - but nothing else. No toppings whatsoever. Ill admit I was shocked by the utter lack of quality and the 100% truth is Ive had FAR superior burgers at McDonalds off of their dollar menu. The fries were abundant but incredibly soggy. A shame, especially given that it was apparently "French Fries Day" or something. Given that the drive home only took about 10 minutes, the fries should not have deteriorated so quickly. Granted, there was also the time that the box sat on the counter while I was waiting to be checked out but even at that, they seemed as though theyd been bathed in a tub before I got them And then theres the pie. A place that has "bakery" in the name darn well better live up to the advertising. But, once again, I was completely disgusted by what Id received. While a sizable slice of pie, it only meant that much more to hate. Supposedly it was a blueberry pie but given that there were only about 5 tiny blueberries in the thing I hardly dare call it that. A decent crust crammed with blueberry flavored goo would be closer to what I had. I scraped out over half a cup of pure slimy goop - completely inedible, and ended up pitching most of that nauseating disaster. I have zero desire to ever eat at this place again.

Well what can I say? The Keys restaurants "in the burbs" are awful. The only good experience Ive had at Keys Cafe is the downtown location, which has always provided great service and great food. My family and I visited this Keys location a couple months back on a Sunday for lunch. We expected it to be busy (and it was) but having to wait 30 minutes to get seated and another 20 minutes for our food to arrive was a bit much. When our food finally came, it was starting to cool already so clearly it has been sitting under a heat lamp or something for a while before finally being delivered to our table. My wife thought shed order a piece of pie to take home with her but they were out. I then overheard another waiter telling the table next to ours that they were out of something else as well. Then as we were walking out, I heard 2 other waiters telling their tables they were out of something. It was very bizarre. Ive never been to a restaurant where they were out of so many different items. Long story short, I can only recommend the downtown location. The suburb locations are poorly managed. Travis P.S. Ill also add this particular location was dirty and slightly run down.

Ive been to many of the Keys Cafes and this one is the worst (I like the 2 in St. Paul - the Original and the one Downtown... delicious food, good staff). This location has poor & "weeded" waitstaff generally, food is either incorrect, over or under done - and the waitstaff doesnt come back (because they are "weeded"). This is not what I expect for the price I pay for a dinner there... and honestly, I get better tasting food at Hardees :-/ The only reason I go back is b/c this one is so close to my home and office - and the original location closes early. We only end up visiting this location about twice a year (because of the horrible service and poor quality food) and I pray each time before going that it has gotten close to the same quality as the other two I visit - though the last few times we have left just being completely frustrated. Now, years back (like 3 or 4 years ago)... the food and waitstaff were excellent. Im sad to see it go so down hill in the last few years.

I have been going to this Keys for years. My boys and I always order the cold chicken salad sandwich. We love them! The last few times the chicken salad has not been very good. Today, it was so bland, no flavor whatsoever. In fact, in tasted like the chicken might be prepared by being boiled because it had a watery texture. The yummy wheat bread was dry. My waitress was very nice, had them give me fresher bread, but I ended up leaving half my sandwich. I also ordered a salad. I was disappointed to see that they switched back to iceberg lettuce from the fabulous spring mix they were using. My salad had mostly the white part of the iceberg lettuce. The croutons and fench dressing were very nice, as always. My waitress did give me a free cookie, but even after leaving half my sandwich, no money was taken off of my bill. I was so disappointed because I honestly love this sandwich and restaurant.

OVERRATED, AWFUL SERVICE, AVERAGE FOOD. The last three times we have been here they forgot about our order and we waited 40 minutes and watched people who were seated after us complete their meals. When your food finally does arrive its often the wrong order. Today was the last straw. My wife, son and I sat down, ordered and waited for our food for 45 minutes they brought us the wrong food twice and other people who were seated after us finished their brunch. Finally we got our food and the server blamed it on the cook...ah, sure. The manager also wouldnt even come out to speak to us. We just left. It was the worst service Ive ever experienced. We will not be dining here ever again.

I go to Keys for their excellent food. However Saturdays is not the best day to go with so many people coming. The service was poor to OK at best. The server was rushed the whole time and could only handle one request at a time. I waited 10-15 minutes to get a drink refill. The server flew by the table as she sat it down and rushed off again without asking for any other needs. I waited 10-15 minutes at the end of the meal and finally got a hostess to bring a to-go container. She literally dropped it on the table with a bang as she ran by. Unfortunately while the food was delicious, I felt I was an inconvenience to the staff the whole meal. At $25.00 for 2 breakfast meals it was not worth it.

As usual, great and fresh omelettes. Veggies freshly sauteed, homemade jam and bread. Love it. SAFETY COMMENT: The faucet in the womens restroom is controlled by one round knob with no words or colors to indicate hot and cold. My elderly mother touched hot water (no visible burns) and withdrew her hand with a sharp intake of breath. Then when she wanted to adjust the temp the single round knob gave no indication how to do that. Glad I was there to assist. This cannot be good for your youngest and oldest customers. Thanks for being the restaurant that all ages agree upon. Please get a new faucet fixture! Suggest both works and the red and blue colors to indicate hot and cold. Thank you!
