This place SUCKS!... Food was Horrendous! Matar Paneer was not made from fresh peas.. it was made from badly tasting HARD peas... Jalebi was cold... with Sugar deposits on it... NOT FRESH. Chole (during buffet) had Yeast in it, to fill your stomach up. Yeast is bad on GAS! Everything tasted like Sugar was added... even the curry dishes. There is NO DAAL in the buffet... everything in the buffet is FATTY and has SODA. Some of the Naans were burnt while some were undercooked. Service was ok. Servers were 2 college kids. Not professional servers.. but nothing wrong with them... except that they did not know what is "GReen Chutney" / "heat Gajar ka Halwa" meant. The other fairly senior looking Server had a BAD Attitude!. He would bump everyone while loading the buffet area. hahah. Real Cheap Canteen in India style guy! Decor was ok. But, hey this place is not somewhere u can take ur customers n all.. Decor was better than being Bad. and it is of no value to you. Music - Sorry, there was no music.. i put on my own Iphone on speaker and enjoyed a few songs with my wife... to which the Senior bad attitude server was looking at me angrily. And yes, do not expect someone to fill up your glass of water! IT just doesnt happen The biggest loser was the Chef... who absolutely sucked at Cooking!! Me and my wife were laughing at the ignorance of this indian chef!

As an Indian living in Boston, having a craving for biriyani is nothing new. So I went to India Pavilion after reading good reviews online. I ordered Chicken Tikka as appetizer and Chicken Biriyani. The server let me know that both dishes are medium spiced. Now, I know that catering to the needs of Americans who are not used to spice can be very challenging. Having said that, I expected the standard of food to be atleast half of what we get in India. The Chicken Tikka was very very bland. No salt. No spice. But being Indian food deprived, I let it go thinking it will be compensated by the Biriyani. But that too was a let down . For the first time in my life, I was treated to "Biriyani" that had potatoes, broccoli and other vegetables. Now I understand that different chefs put their own twist on a dish but this was just plain weird. The only reason I gave this restaurant at least 3 stars is because of its serving portions, which is large. Overall, I felt like when I watched the new DC comics version of Batman. Too much hype, too many expectations but finally such a dud.

Food was ok. Service strange. Two of us ordered the veg combo and a chicken dish and when the chicken dish didnt arrive, the server argued with us about whether we had ordered it. We ordered it. She insisted we hadnt. Both of us remembered ordering it. Unpleasant to squabble like that. She didnt write anything down, forgot and then blamed us. Not a huge deal but unpleasant. Cant it just be,sorry. I must not have heard you. Why would two of us order just one dinner?

India Pavilion is a so-so Indian restaurant. Service was friendly enough and efficient, but the food is not great. The vegetable pakora, usually one of my favorite things to eat at an Indian restaurant, were notably bland and didnt seem fresh. And my malai kofta contained a measly three kofta, in an overly sweet sauce. Im by no means an Indian food expert, but Ive eaten enough of it in my day to know that this place isnt somewhere Id quickly return.

India Pavilion is easily my favorite Indian restaurant. Part of that has to do with convenience, but its also a bit of a secret gem in Central Square. It used to be an unappealing looking place, but last year they renovated and expanded the dining room, and now its a pretty, comfortable, and warm atmosphere. The food is great, and the prices are much lower than comparable restaurants. Its definitely worth checking out!

Lovely, delicious, everything I wanted. The inside was beautiful, the menu simple to navigate, the whole staff was so gracious and high quality. Incredibly low priced considering the high quality food we got. It was just such a pleasure. Really made the evening. If you like a fancy restaurant with homey casual vibes, this place should be your spot. Wow, I cant wait to go back.

One of my favorite spots in the city for a nice quiet dinner. Great food, relaxed atmosphere. Reasonably priced considering the generous portion. Service is courteous and professional, not pushy or doting. Be warned- "spicy" means spicy here (in the best possible way). And dont forget the naan!

The food here is decent - definitely not excellent, and the menu is varied enough (as in all basic-midrange Indian restaurants). Fortunately, pricing is quite low, translating to GOOD VALUE. If youre out for a casual bite and dont feel super picky, this would be a great low-cost option.

Everything we ate here was top-notch. The atmosphere is relaxing and every time Ive been here, it was quiet enough to comfortably converse with my companions. I recommend saving a little room in your appetite for the cardamom ice cream. It really blew my mind.

It had good food, but the waiters were kind of M.I.A., and they delivered some peoples food before even taking others orders, and that created a pretty awkward situation. But it was probably just an off night. Theyre usually pretty great.

Very tasty and affordable food, and I like their sangria a lot too. Ive never had to wait, even on a Friday evening. The service can be pretty slow though if you arent assertive about wanting to order and then later on to get the check.

Worst service among all Indian Restaurants I have ever been to. One sardar ji there had no interest in serving and catering any food. Will definitely never go there again or recommend anyone. Waste of money food wise too.

The lunch buffet is a great value, but the service isnt the best. Waited a long time (~10 minutes) to get water, and was subsequently never checked on for a refill. The restaurant wasnt very busy during this time either.

I got the Tikka Masala, and it was pretty good. However, compared to some other places, the portions here felt on the small side. If youre a fan of spicy food, definitely ask for extra spicy! It really adds a nice kick.

Fantastic indian fair highly recommend this restaurant. They cooked the food to my spice level and it all had fantastic flavor. The open kitchen allows you to watch as they cook and see the fresh ingredients they use!

Food was okay compared to other indian restaurants in the area! We found a small stone in the vegetable dish! We complained to the manager and manager didnt take it seriously! Its very scary to eat there!!!!

Food was excellent with great veggie choices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Priced reasonably. My only thing is that its a bit on the loud side, so not my first recommendation as a date resto.

The food was okay. Service was terrible, really non attentive at all, and Im an easy person to serve, I have no expectations until its apparent they just ignore you. Cleanliness gets below a star..dirty

Great Indian food at a great price. We had a full meal (appetizers, main course, wine, and dessert) at about 50$ for the both of us. The vegetable pakora were delicious as was the tikka masala curry.
