Definitely a great name of the restaurant Meet and Eat. A good place for a group of friends to gather around for a meal if you just want to hang out or have coffee and pastry. Service - Not great. We requested to sit at one of the tables. And the waiter said, hell wipe down the table. He did a rough job in cleaning up. The table was still dirty, the benches were not wiped at all. I was watching him while he was cleaning. We couldnt sit because it was super dirty. We called him to clean up. He was like...oh, I didnt see it. Are you serious? You just cleaned but in a rush without paying attention. He took our orders but he didnt feel like was enthusiastic about the job. He was like what do you want? There were not that many customers on a Friday morning. How hard is to put on a smile and greet the customers. And we had to call him to request for additional stuff for the coffee. I asked the waiter about whats popular, he seemed to be in a rush....he couldnt explain much. Food- I ordered the smoke salmon benedict which came with potatoes. The potatoes were good and the benedict was okay. They give you free drip coffee if you come in prior to 10am. And he charged us for some additional stuffs which we didnt have. Thank god we looked at the bill. So he removed it. There is a private parking lot but space is limited. I like the big windows in the restaurant. Not a place, Ill go again unless someone really desires to eat there.

Very disappointed. Staff was more interested in counting out tips than serving customers. 5-6 stood behind counter doing nothing, laughing and amusing each other ignoring customers. I got no water refill following food delivery to table. I swallowed and swallowed --a very dry omelette, eggs browned and thin, very little goat cheese all in one lump, dates in another lump and walnuts a third pile, nothing mixed together. An omelette is supposed to be fluffy eggs, with ingredients folded together inside the egg cover. It was not tasty at all. No one even checked back or asked how good was, likely for good reason. The hostess was fantastic all the way from greet/seat til I flagged her down begging for water. Many had walked by even with a water pitcher in hand but couldnt be bothered. Parking is tough during busy time. Lot is small. Dont waste your time and money on atrocious service, bland and dry food and overall an incredibly disappointing experience. Thanks to the hostess as the only redeeming quality this Sat PM.

Meh... kind of a let down to be honest. I had high expectations based on everyones reviews but after a REALLY long wait for breakfast food on a weekend... The waitress was really young and seemed like she was overworked, and they seemed understaffed, so it wasnt really fair to her, but as a customer, their staffing is not my problem. In terms of the food, it wasnt really worth what you get for the wait/cost. I mean, the place is very trendy and all that, but the food was "ok". However, they totally messed up an order for my brother who has Celiac Disease. He ended up getting really sick from eating there after specifically asking them to be careful. It wasnt like he ordered anything complicated either. He ordered his usual, two sides of bacon and some home fries because he knows that anything more adventurous is too risky for a glutard, but they still managed to mess that up. I was not impressed. Maybe if youve never been to a decent breakfast place before this place might be cool, but there are better places.

We didnt know what kind of a place it was but the parking lot was full. So we thought we would give it a go. The food was probably the best we have had since being in Sac. HOWEVER, our waitress went on break and didnt bother to tell us. After sitting there for at least 15 to 20mins.. we ask to be waited on as we didnt know that our server had went on break. Wow... from that moment on...they where nice and ran us the food but they never came to check on us or the food, no refills, no dessert offer.. so after we got done eating.. we thought the food was gonna be free since they never brought us the check. we were done for at least 10 to 15mins. waiting on the check. Like I said the food was great but they were so obvious that they did not want to wait on us. Ive sèen alot but this has never ever happened in all my life.

Ive attempted to give this restaurant 3 tries and they have failed terribly. I believe in supporting local businesses that are run well. This place isnt one of them. My first exposure, it took over 5 minutes just to see a menu. They had no host/hostess and none of the staff would make eye contact as they walked by. Second attempt, the restaurant decided to close 2 hours early for a staff meeting. Third attempt, I called in for a take out. They dont take orders over the phone. Really, you want me to waste my time by sitting in your restaurant for an order that would have taken 1 minute to order over the phone? I live 2 blocks away and probably would have been a regular customer; however, I dont support bad businesses. Im very disappointed.

Good food and good draft beer. I generally try to stay away from being a creepy cougar, and Im happily married to a great man, but the waiter we had was a flirt and he gave me a free beer. How am I supposed to resist feeling a bit...pampered and smitten? OTOH, the beer was very late, so thats why it was free. Maybe a few glitches in the way that newer places always need to work them out. But the decor is an improvement over the old crepe place that was here, and it fills a very similar niche in the neighborhood. The crowd looked local, and there were kids there, which I really like. Makes a place feel homey. After-work treat for SCC faculty. :D

Heres my review.... "Greeted by a friendly, knowledgable and enthusiastic server I was able to explore menu choices in detail... My drink of Mango Iced Tea with a slash of lemonade was served promptly in a mason jar glass. It was cold, delicious and refreshing. The atmosphere and climate was a relaxing experience updated very nicely from the old Crepe. Its sometimes nice when "new feels new" in a completely renovated interior. Cooled interior dining but not too cold! The portion size was generous and the food was prepared perfectly! Loved it

This is a relatively new location that we just got around to trying. They lean heavily into burgers and fries, but have lots of other options on the menu too. I had the lamb burger and it was delicious served with shoestring fries. Plenty of good drink options too. They have a small indoor dining area and then a hybrid area that has roll-up doors on it to make if feel more outdoors under the shallow room with a roof. The parking lot is small so plan on parking on one of the adjacent streets.

So..... We made a reservation for 20 and good thing only 13 of us showed up or it could have been way worse!!! Obviously they cant handle large groups.... drink order took 20 minutes Our server was was slow and needed help. We waited over an hour for our food and, every order was wrong and some orders never made it to the table! The 18% gratuity that is included for large groups was not earned today. Food is good, just be prepared to wait!
