Worst Chinese food Ive ever had. Having not been here before (we moved to Gaines from Burton a few years ago) I made sure to order something that I thought would be rather foolproof, almond boneless chicken . I got back home and was sort of turned off by the yellow rice. The chicken appeared plain and mediocre. I opened the gravy and was turned off by the mustard appearance of it. I poured it over the chicken anyhow and proceeded to try eating my meal. The breading on the chicken was so hard that I thought I almost chipped a tooth. The gravy and rice both tasted bland. I could not eat one bite of it. By this point I had pretty much all but lost my appetite but had not tried the wonton soup that I had ordered with my meal. I took the lid off if the container and questioned if it was actually wonton soup or not. The broth appeared to be the color of black coffee. I decided to give it a go anyhow since the rest of my meal was inedible. I was once again immediately turned off by the aweful smell once I got a spoonful near my nose. I scooped one of the noodles out onto a plate and could not tell you for the life of me what brown processed substance was inside of it when I cut it open -gross! I threw the entire meal out and cooked a frozen Kroger brand pizza for dinner instead! I will stick with my tried and true authentic Chinese resturant over in Burton, Canton Chinese restaurant on Fenton road. China Garden should take a few cooking lessons from them. Anyone that says that China Garden is good, I feel bad for because they obviously have no Idea what true high quality Chinese food tastes like. I did give 2 stars since the staff was friendly as other reviews have stated.

Its good food, the quality youd expect from a typical storefront, carry out Chinese place. Nothing stellar. The staff seems friendly enough. They did give me the wrong order one evening. The bag was tied up so tightly I wasnt able to peek into the bag to do a quick check like a normally do, so I didnt notice until I was home. It sucked because it was Christmas day, I was alone and it was the only thing open. They were very busy that night so Im sure it was a one-off thing. I still enjoy their food when I get the craving. Their rangoons are top notch too.

I want to give them a good rating because they are a local business, however they do not pay attention to your order and get it wrong more times than they get it right. I live out in the country like a lot of us do and when I get home it is disturbing to find they messed it up yet again! I call and they want me to drive up and get my order right this time? Not acceptable...I do not order anything special in hopes they can handle it. Wow, they seem adept enough to take my money, be it cash or credit.

China Garden has good food. If I have one complaint its that occasionally they tell you 15 minutes and what they mean is 35 minutes so you end up waiting, and waiting, and waiting. One time I went in there and they lost my order all together. But they threw in an order of Crab Rangoon for my trouble, and the next time I came in they remembered me and gave me money off my order. They have a few little problems, but I still highly recommend them.

Typically, I tend to stay away from ordering takeout. Nevertheless, China Garden is one of the few exceptions to this rule. I love the Chicken and Broccoli personally but, everything that I have ordered from China Garden has been excellent. The service is also top notch. In contrast, the restaurant itself is small and its decor is not the best. However, I highly recommend that anyone interested in great Chinese food should go to China Garden.

This place is for take out. Were usually picky about our Chinese take outs, especially coming from a large diverse city (Philadelphia). This place is right in par with some of the better places there. We recently found out they have new owners or are partnered with the new owners. Well soon find out if the quality will change.

Great food and a quaint sit-down atmosphere. You get a lot of food for your money, and they almost always will have it ready in under 20 minutes. The owners and staff are very friendly and polite. You wont find Chinese food anywhere in the area that can compare to China Garden!

"Best crab cheese!" Is what I posted here three years ago and I still stand by that. Over the years I have ordered several different things and could never complain. Of course I have my favorites! Crab cheese, may fun, almond chicken, seafood soup! Its all amazing!

Disappointing. Good service, but the second worst Chinese food I ever had. The fried rice is orange and definitely not fried. My chicken was fatty and over sauced. The egg roll was some sort of deep fried spring roll. I feel like Im chewing on salt. Wont be back.

Great food, from a family owned restaurant. After years of ordering take out I have never been disappointed. Great food prepared by talented people in the small hamlet of Linden. Call in your order because it can get busy when the food is this good.

Always great food and great service, very affordable. We moved from a very large town where we had many options on chinese food restaurants. We tried the few options in the small Fenton/Linden area and China Garden is by far the best.

Food is decent quality; typical of store front Chinese. Take out. Friendly staff. Fresh made entrees. Easy access parking lot. Easy to find. Fast service. Convenient when camping at Myers Lake.

Best place to go if you live in the area we moved to white lake about 4 months ago now and still cant find a good Chinese place in our area. So we keep driving the distance once every two weeks
