Ive eaten at the Littleton Diner a number of times in the past and can honestly say Im not excited enough to eat there again! Ive had a negative vibe about the place lately and tend to always follow my intuition. I didnt the last two times I visited the diner, however! I went there a week ago and asked to know the nearest bank since the diner only accepts cash for payment. I was told by a server that there was a bank right nearby down the street a couple of buildings away. However, I wasnt told that the diner had their own ATM inside! So, not knowing this I went for a walk down the street and got some cash then went back to the diner to eat. No big deal. However, last night I went back to the diner again and this time I remembered the diner has/had their own ATM somewhere inside! I thought great, I wont have to go the bank to get some cash! However, I also had a feeling to find their ATM and use it before ordering. Good thing I did because their ATM wasnt working. It wouldnt read my card even though my card was not old and hasnt yet given me problems anywhere else! With the Littleton Diner ATM you have to put your card in, then wait till the screen says to pull the card out. Then youre supposedly able to continue with your transaction. I dont know how many times I put my card in the ATM as directed and the machine just wouldnt work to read my card. The machine looked like a piece of junk besides! I was frustrated considering the last time I was at the diner I had to walk to the bank to get cash. So being frustrated I walked out of the diner and said out loud that their ATM was not a good machine. The food wasnt that great last time I went either. I remember having ordered apple pie with a scoop of ice cream after my meal and the apple pie was honestly the worst apple pie Ive ever eaten! I couldnt eat it, in fact. I had to leave it there and Im the type that will eat almost anything! Good luck with their ATM if youre hoping to get some cash from it and beware the diners apple pie!

Worst food I have ever had. I am a Chef and hold a Managers Safeserve certification. I ordered a medium burger and was served a burger that was charred and about a min away from being a hockey puck, there was no flavor what so ever the bun was greasy and hard, the food was cold. My daughter had a Medium well kids burger and was served a cold hockey puck. My wife had the Big Cheese, which was just nasty and greasy and had bacon on it which was not in the description of the sandwich what if my wife had a pork allergy, there could be serious consequences to things like that. The food was barely warm, people that came in 10 mins after us got their food and finished it at least 10 mins before us. But the biggest issue is the ciabatta bread had mold on it which my wife realized after eating half of the sandwich and pointed it out to me at which time i told my family to stop eating we payed and left. About an hour after we left my wife started complaining about stomach aches cramping about 30 mins after we got home she then had diarrhea and vomiting and this food is the only thing she had all day. I think the kitchen staff needs training as to proper cooking temperatures as well as knowledge FIFO (first in first out) and understanding of Temperature danger zone the area in which bacteria multiplies and runs the risk of causing food born illness.

When visiting the Littleton Diner, I was treated to the absolute worst service of my life. In fact, the waitress/server was the rudest person I have ever met. In my entire life. We were delivered a black and blue burger with no blue cheese, and menu items missing pickles. The waitress was curt from the get-go and continually complained about us being demanding to her co-workers, though we had only asked for the pickles, plus mustard, vinegar and ketchup to go with burgers and fries. She loudly insulted us, referring to one table as the misfits. We didnt ask for the blue cheese, because we were afraid by then of what would accompany it. My boyfriends father was so disappointed to be treated abysmally at this place, after a 50 year tradition of visiting during trips to NH, that he wrote to the owners asking what had happened. They never bothered replying.

We were so excited to come here because its supposed to be the best breakfast in the state but without good customer service what do you have? The food was great but the customer service was completely terrible. No one was greeted at the door, when we were finally seated we were not given menus but asked what we wawanted to drink. I had to finally ask for menus. Our waiter was a male and very rude not only to us but the tables around us. I would not go back there simply because of the negative atmosphere and bad customer service. :( sad because the food was good.

Back in August, myself and 3 friends were on a motorcycle trip and stopped in here for breakfast. Food and service was great, everything was hot and fresh. The buckwheat cakes and maple syrup were awesome as were the omelets. They were extremely friendly to us which sometimes isnt the typical treatment you get when you pull up on a bike and walk in in your gear. If ever back in the area will stop back for sure.

What a great little spot! We stopped here for lunch on our way to Maine from Montreal. The staff was super friendly, and the establishment provided that quint essential diner feel we were looking for. We asked our server what they would order if they only had the chance to come here once. We werent disappointed!

Great home cooked foods, better than typical diner food. Best home made Woopie pies. Breakfast all day, great coffee! Great tourist town, eat drink and visit. Very busy in tourist season,a favorite of locals and a place tourist always comes back to. Beautiful old diner car. Add to your to do list when visiting.

Fun, authentic new england diner experience. It has become a regular stop for my fiance and i on our way back from trips up north. The first time we stopped in we walked in right as they were closing, but we were completely oblivious to this until we had already ordered. We were still served with a smile!

So: Littleton diner is a pretty darn good place to eat. I will say that you do have to deal with the personality of your server. (Like almost anywhere) I got mad at them the second to last time I was there, but the last time it was great. The food is always good. Not exquisite but consistent.

Absolutely wonderful food in the heart of downtown Littleton. A true institution to the town and a melting pot for all. Great staff, great service. I definitely suggest the breakfast menu! The slate ledge bagel is a favorite for all and their pancakes are locally milled, delicious!
