I was actually very excited to try this place out. I live in the area and love trying the local food spots. Their menu online looked amazing. I took my girlfriend out yesterday 2/7 for breakfast and decided to switch from our normal breakfast spot (Parkside Cafe) to theMason Jar. When we got there it wasnt busy at all. There were only 5 tables seated excluding my girlfriend and I and 2 had left within 10 minutes of us being there. It took 10 minutes to get our order in for just drinks and another 10 to get the drinks to our table. We were ready to order and the waitress had told us we had to wait for her husband to take our order. We waited another 20 minutes just for our orders to be placed. I ordered the Mason Jar omelet with 5 eggs and a side of corned beef hash. My girlfriend ordered scrambled eggs with home fries bacon toast and a pancake. It took another 35 ( yes I said 35) minutes to get the food to our table. When the food had arrived my entire omelet eggs and meat were boarder line cold, even to the touch. The corned beef hash was the same temp except the bottom was clearly burnt. My girlfriends eggs were so runny and under cooked and her bacon was dry crispy and ridiculously over cooked. The pancake was phenomenal but that was the only good thing about this place. We paid our bill and tipped 25% even though we deserved for our entire bill to be voided. My girlfriend could barely touch her food because of this and I had to eat mine with a disgusted look on my face the entire time. It was hands down the worst dining experience Ive personally ever had and Im sure I can speak for my girlfriend as well. Hands down the worst first experience at a restaurant weve ever had. I will never ever be going back to this place again.

Worst experience in my life! Saw this on Foodie Friday Channel 6news. Could not wait to go check out this new place to eat! We walked in and I looked at the young man behind the counter and smiled and said hi.. he looked back at me with a blank stare.. I continued to say..this is our first visit should we seat our selves or wait.. blavk stare.. he checked out a family then walked right by me I thought to maybe check on a table for us.. he stopped to talk to other people then walked right past us! Didnt even look at us! I said..well I guess we should leave and he continued to ignore us..so we just left.. standing in a room full of people and being treated like you are not there! This place does not even deserve the 1 star.. I had to select it to write this post!

Awesome lemonade and food. Drinks come in mason jars (haha, i thought this was awesome). The lemonade tasted so fresh, we loved it. Food was great as well. Well be going back many more times. Price for pie slices seemed slightly high, but that key lime pie was great! If youre looking to help local businesses, be sure to stop by here, its worth the money and the time. Good food, nice folks, overall great experience!

Dogwood punch is great, the baby backs were really good, chard just how I like it. Really good portion for the price. The piña colada pudding was so good! Its made from scratch! The owners are very kind and the resturant is clean and cozy, I like that its on the small side.

Nice cozy restaurant with delicious food. Kind of upscale meets down-home. Service always perfect, lovely wine selections, and desserts served with a special bit of attention. Every time I visit I like this place more!

Tiny little place with slightly different breakfast options, like a chicken sausage and apple omelette. The pancakes are enormous.
